It's changed names a few times, but the food has been consistently delicious. Love their duck fat fries and their biscuits and gravy. Really open and bright atmosphere with lots of windows, so wouldn't recommend if you're nursing a hangover lol. Staff is always great. read more

Wow! I stopped in on a whim after a trade show. My colleague and I were greeted by Will, who immediately seated us and was also our server. Will was friendly, professional, and attentive. He made excellent suggestions, and ensured that the strawberry marshmallow milkshake I ordered was as fancy and outrageous as I hoped it would be! My colleague ordered huevos rancheros and ate every bite of delicious perfection. I ordered steak and eggs. The chimichurri sauce was to die for, and perfectly complemented the steak that was tender, flavorful, and cooked to an exact medium rare temperature as requested. I live an hour from Showroom, but I plan to make a special visit soon to sample more of the amazing food and hopefully see Will again! read more

Been coming here forever. Brian the bartender is great......as the rest of the staff. Dogs welcome on the patio. Best huevos rancheros

Food was fully edible. I made my 2 foodie cousins drive to Showroom in Frederick, MD. There were no problems with the food but the service was totally abysmal. The guy took forever to come over and kept forgetting to bring things that we had ordered and requested. He never filled our water glasses and we ended up getting up to get our own water. There was a lady milking around placing silverware on tables here and there and should have noticed the dishes piling high and should have cleared them. We moved our duty dishes to a table nearby. Then to add insult to injury they charged us full price for items we ordered off of the happy hour menu. Very disappointing. I'm afraid I will not be recommending this to more family and friends. I was embarrassed that we overpaid for this fiasco. Btw... there were only 2 other tables at the time of our arrival. They were awfully busy for barely anyone being in there. read more

Showroom is understaffed and the staff that is here are untrained. We were seated at a table in direct line of the bussing staff and bar, so it was people traffic galore, but waited 12 minutes without even water being poured. When we complained, two people said, oh sorry I'll get your waiter. Nothing. Asked for a manager, she came and said the same thing. Oh, I'll get your waiter. Disappointing experience. Won't be back. read more

it was all so good and super fast, the lox tasted super fresh along with everything else. read more

The Bryan burger was wonderful! Our waiter was very nice and attentive, and we enjoyed our experience.

This place is amazing! I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The chicken was cooked so wonderfully, crisp and juicy. Our servers Nella and Saige was very polite and friendly. read more

I came in with my family last week and had Ashley as a server. Everything turned out perfectly, the truffle fries were definitely the star of the show! Our server made our experience great, which is so important to have when going out to eat. We will be coming back! read more

My husband and I stopped by showroom for brunch and had the best server Jasmine. she recommended great food options for both of us was very prompt on taking our order and refilling our drinks. she was super sweet and will definitely be asking for her in future visits. read more

We were in town for a wedding and went here for brunch. The chicken pot pie fritters and cheddar biscuits were both delicious! Our entrees were also good and service was great. If we are ever in town again, I would definitely stop by. read more

We ate at The Showroom for our first time on the first night of Frederick's Restaurant week. Community COVID-19 transmission rate is high, so we asked to be seated outside. It was fine outside, since the space is covered and ceiling fans kept the summer air moving. A server brought chilled water, but after waiting 15 minutes, we went back inside to collect menus. The restaurant was short staffed and reminded us of that throughout our meal. It was a bumpy start to Restaurant Week. I ordered a Manhattan. It was served on the rocks in a rocks glass, not stirred with ice and strained into a coupe or Nick and Nora glass. No cherry or lemon twist and very watery. What was the bartender thinking? I ordered the Watermelon Gazpacho. It was adequate but too full of vegetable chunks with too little watermelony soup. I also ordered the Smoked Salmon appetizer. It was a deconstructed style bagel with cream cheese. I was served with Tzatziki and flatbread; I liked it. Overall, the drinks were disappointing, the food was adequate, although uninspired. The service was hampered by short staffing. We hear The Showroom is a good place for breakfast/brunch. We will give that a try, but not again for dinner. read more

We went for Sunday lunch on a beautiful day. The restaurant has been complying with all Covid measures. It was clear that they had worked hard to incorporate safety measures while retaining a fun, casual, but curated ambiance that is a Voltaggio hallmark. The menu has a variety of American orderings elevated from what you would find in a "family" restaurant. we shared the Shrimp and Grits appetizer, a substantial dish for a starter. I could have ordered it as a main course. Three extra-large shrimp, generous-sized homemade andouille sausages slices, and the classic sauce nicely spiced. Delicious!!! Our crab cake sandwiches were fantastic. Just the right amount of slaw to add crunch to the substantial-sized crab cake without little filler on a brioche bun. We cut the sandwich into quarters to eat it was so generously sized. Finally, the desserts sounded so good, we were enticed to try them. Good choice for our taste buds, but not for our waist lines. The desserts are on par with what you would find in a fine dining restaurant. My personal favorite was the blood orange tart with coconut sorbet and toasted coconut. Great crust, tasty filling, yummy blood orange sauce drizzle. The deconstructed banana cream brûlée is also might tasty-burnt sugar, banana, caramel, and banana custard in a milk-style bottle. My husband raved about the flourless chocolate cake, but he would because he is a chocoholic. Delicious food, reasonably-priced, attentive service-lucky for Frederick to have such a wonderful casual restaurant. read more

We were frequent Family Meal goers and we were so disappointed to see it close down but thrilled when Born & Raised opening was announced. We were super excited to try it for the first time but are now extremely disappointed. PROS: We booked a reservation over the phone and they were extremely helpful and accommodating. When we arrived, they took our temperature and sat us outside as we requested. The table was sanitary and everything was up to COVID standards. Food was excellent (as it was at Family Meal)- we ordered our usual favorites (pimento cheese dip, deviled eggs, fried chicken) and everything was as expected. The beer selection was great featuring a selection of local craft brews. Our server was very friendly and helpful. CONS: Without going into details, there was an extreme lack of competency from all staff members we interacted with. From our server not knowing the menu, to runners not knowing what food or drinks they were bringing to the table- every interaction was subpar. There was no sign of a manager anywhere in sight and it seriously showed. My honest opinion is that they need to seriously figure out how to train their staff and manage the restaurant otherwise it's going to be run into the ground. Food was excellent, service needs help. read more

So glad this crew is back!! I only wish they would bring back 2 items; (1) the shoestring fries and dipping sauces and (2) the steak and cheese with provolone, horseradish mayo, bitter greens and crunchy onions. It was the best sandwich I ever had and I never saw it again. read more

Food was amazing! Drinks were so tasty! Service was phenomenal, especially Austin!! He was so great and very kind. He made sure my food was safe for me since I have a food allergy. Jerel is also awesome! Thanks so much Showroom for such a great evening! read more

Delicious dinner! Would happily eat here regularly if we lived in the area. The appetizers were creative and yummy - had deviled eggs, pot pie bites and biscuits. For dinner we each had a different entree and everyone was pleased: duck, hanger steak, meatloaf, and shrimp and grits. Tried several desserts too. Service was great and it was a great meal. Also handled our peanut tree nut allergy in the group which we always appreciate very much. read more

I definitely understand that businesses are understaffed, but our experience here today was extremely disappointing. There was no host, but eventually someone came by and found us a table. We ordered drinks and food. The food came out pretty quickly, but we never got our drinks. The food was okay. The fries are too salty. Not what I remembered when it was Family Meal. We told the person who brought our food and the waitress who came back that we still had no drinks. Both said the drinks were coming but might be slow due to no bartender. Mind you, we ordered lemonades and a draft beer. No cocktails. The waitress said this happens a lot. We were more or less finished our meal and ready for our check - still no drinks. Eventually, our waitress came back and we told her to please cancel the drinks and bring our check. She went to tell her manager. She came back and said the manager was making them. I don't know what had to be made exactly... We said we had finished and were ready to leave. She went to take them off the bill. A few minutes later, the manager came with drinks in glass cups (even the kids drink). We explained what happened again. She put the kids drinks in to go cups (not sure what wshe did with the beer...) and gave us 10% off our check. That was something but it didn't make up for never having drinks served during our entire hour long lunch. No one apologized. It was sad as it seems like this is just what this staff is used to dealing with. We were really understanding but honestly it got to a point where it was obvious that no one was trying to serve us our drinks. Everyone just sort of shrugged and said managers would eventually brings drinks. We saw some tables seated way after us get cocktails. Not sure why they could make those but not pour beer and lemonade or do anything reasonable to address their errors. read more

Came here for brunch to meet some friends. Restaurant was busy but not out the door or anything. Service was sloooow. It took 10 minutes after we were seated for our server to take our drink order (just coffee), and she never came back to ask if we wanted refills...had to flag her down 20 minutes later. Took over 30 minutes for our food to come out. Three of us ordered cheese omelets, but specifically said we didn't' want the meal, which came with potatoes and greens. When the food was delivered, we wound up receiving the potatoes and greens anyway. Not a big deal, but not what we ordered. Omelets were fine (how can you mess up an omelet?), but nothing special. Overall it wasn't terrible, but considering the service and the relatively non-descript food, probably pass on this place again. read more

Last night My family and I dined at Showroom for my birthday. The service was excellent from beginning to end. Our server, Jarrell, and his associates kept everything running smoothly throughout the evening. I ordered the chicken pot pie fritters which came out hot and crispy on the outside and warm and tender on the inside with a delicious dipping sauce. We also ordered two servings of the duck fat fries, which were more than enough for our party of five adults and three children. They came out hot and crispy and simply melted in your mouth! I ordered the meatloaf which, unfortunately, I found quite bland and didn't even finish. However, the other adults in my party were very pleased with their hamburgers and the shrimp Po boy. From the children's menu two of the children ordered the spaghetti with garlic bread. It came out on TV dinner-style trays with separate compartments for the spaghetti, a small salad, and some apple sauce. They enjoyed it very much. The third child, however, did not care for his macaroni and cheese. All the children ordered a milkshake, which were very good. Also, being my birthday, they allowed us to bring in a cake, something that many restaurants would not have allowed. Overall, our dining experience was very pleasant and we will definitely return. read more

This is the third time we have eating here. I was hoping that the first two times were just off days. The service, as always, was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. It is the food that is a letdown. The fried chicken and fish and chips were overdone and greasy. Had to be one of the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. I think it would have been better if they served one large piece of fish rather then 3 very small, over battered, over cooked, pieces of fish that looked more like fried fish balls. The tarter sauce was very thin and way too salty. I am going to have to cross the Showroom off my places to eat in Fredrick. read more

Between the overhead heaters and the heated seat cushions, the open air patio at Showroom was toasty warm despite the blustery January day outside. I had the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and a side of Onion Rings. The Chicken Sandwich was perfectly spicy and the onion rings may have been the best I've ever had. read more

My family and I went to brunch for my birthday and it was great! The chicken and waffles were full of flavor. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was crispy and juicy. Lastly the sausage and gravy was delicious! Biscuit were buttery and flaky. The gravy was season well and every bite was packed with flavor. Will be back again. read more

Great food, comfortable atmosphere & exceptional service. The meatloaf & biscuits are so so good!

So happy it has reopened, albeit with a different name, but the food and menu is as good if not better! My favorites are still on The menu, kale salad, onion rings, chicken wings, salmon and almost forgot the French fries best ever! I have a problem trying new things when I go back to my favorite restaurants I always go for my favorites therefore I haven't tried a lot of the new offerings yet . They also happen to make the best skinny margarita without using artificial mixer which is really hard to find. Staff are thoroughly professional yet friendly an accommodating. My last visit we sat in the outdoor patio which is kitted with heaters and tons of fresh air. Only thing that would make it complete would be my dog sitting at my feet but that's not allowed I tried it! read more

Horrible experience here! We arrived here and were seated on the patio with 2 other tables. We were given an empty menu. After getting that fixed, we ordered drinks and food. Then the waiter, Jorge, came back and asked if we were good with water. We reminded him that we ordered drinks. Then someone else delivered those. We finished those. An hour later, food came out including food we didn't order. During that hour, 6 other tables were seated and served and the 2 that were here left. When we said we didn't order that food we were told to keep it. My boyfriend ordered an additional drink. Another hour later, after our food had been cleared for over half an hour, we asked for the check twice before getting it and found we were charged for the food we didn't order. Then the wait staff tried to make me feel grateful by saying they "comped" the food we didn't order or eat. Then the bill came out and we were given someone else's credit card because our meal was charged to their card. So much for security! Seriously!!! After calling out the name of the cardholder I was able to return her card to her and my boyfriend went in to find his missing card and be charged appropriately. As far as food goes, the omelet was ok and the salad was overdressed. I would never return here. No apologies for the credit card mishap that could have resulted in fraud. read more

We have been to Family Meal and loved it. We' were very disappointed when it closed. Tonight we stopped and ordered curbside takeout. The person my husband talked to on the phone did not know the menu and said it would be 20 minutes. It was longer. The person couldn't tell us if there was anything as a side with the meals. We ordered spaghetti from the kids menu and a grilled cheese. The spaghetti was small and the bread was burnt. I'm not sure my son liked it. The grilled cheese was great and had French fries. It was huge! My husband ordered a burger with nothing on it except cheese. Instead, it had sauce on it. I got a crab cake sandwich. It fell apart while I was trying to eat it. I won't recommend it. There is a restaurant in Middletown with better crab cake sandwiches. The best part of the meal was the French fries. They are out of this world. Overall, I think we could have had a better meal elsewhere, especially for the price. read more

I have had mixed experiences at this restaurant, mainly good. I tend to write a review for either outstanding or not so great and unfortunately this is the latter. I had lunch there this afternoon and ordered the Kale roasted vegetable salad . I added an up charge of grilled chicken. Very disappointing. At this time of year I would have expected maybe some seasonal roasted vegetables such as zucchini, yellow squash maybe corn , carrots. ‍It came with diced sweet potatoes, raw red onions, roasted fennel, which unless someone told me I would have thought it it was some frise' lettuce , and dried up pencil thin asparagus The kale although fresh , needed some massaging. The blackberries and cheese were good. My chicken had a nice grilled flavor but, was very tough and difficult to cut. It appeared cooked. I ate it. Overall.this dish has so much potential but, it lacked in quality. It needed more lovin' . My service was very good . The ladies room was a mess and needed some tidying up. I'll return at some point but maybe I should have gotten that Rueben. read more

We used to come here when it was "Family Meal." A few minutes ago, we were seated at the bar by the kind receptionist with glasses. This gentleman noticed that we haven't received our water and menu so he gave it to us. Twelve minutes later and not one server or bartender greeted us to include this gentleman who was wearing a white long sleeve shirt behind the bar and in front of us (gentleman was not wearing a uniform - maybe a manager). They just passed by us and no one checked on us. This is quite unfortunate. This placed used to be welcoming to everyone - not today. read more

I placed an online order for brunch. The order was supposed to be ready at 12:37. Finally got my food at 1:07. Got home and found the order was wrong and instead of 3 eggs I got about 1 runny egg. Paid for extra bacon but didn't get it. No effort made to make up for the ridiculous wait time. Thought they would have at least made sure the food I got was correct. Wishful thinking. read more

I guess every restaurant has it's bad days. Our friends have been here before and enjoyed their meals. But tonight was a total disaster. The ricitta sauce tasted off. My burger never showed up. The cheese steak was all gristle. One of the pieces of chicken still had some pin feathers in it. So, out of 4 dinners (well, 3 since they couldn't deliver a simple burger) they all had major flaws. I've been to restaurants where one, or even 2 dishes had some issues, but NEVER have I been to a restaurant where every dinner (that showed up) had major flaws. SKIP THIS PLACE read more

A few months ago, I wrote a very unflattering review of this establishment after a rather disappointing dining experience. We decided to return and give it another try after reading more recent reviews. I am so happy to say that this time everything was wonderful! We ordered the Chicken Salad Stacker and boy, was it amazing! and HUGE! (Couldn't even finish it so took it home and had it the next day for lunch!) I must confess that the chocolate malt milkshake was probably to blame. Yummy and filling! Kudos to the management and staff. We will surely return. read more

We had a lovely brunch with friends at Showroom. The biscuits are astonishingly good, as are the onion rings and deviled eggs. we Highly recommend the shrimp And grits. The portions are generous, so be prepared to bring home doggie bags! read more

Had an early brunch on Saturday at about 11:15 and sat at the counter so service was prompt and consistent. I had chicken and waffle and just wish they would serve chicken breast as an option instead of chicken thigh. It was definitely a beautiful presentation. As for flavor, it was fine but not remarkable. Would have been nice to have a side of the smoky honey as well. My son had an omelet with potatoes and spinach and was satisfied with it. One thing that disturbed me tremendously was where they keep open , narrow necked bottles of water on ice to serve diners at tables or the counter. They are in an old industrial looking ceramic sink display right at child height at the entrance where people/families would wait to be seated. Any wandering child can walk over and easily put their fingers directly into these. I feel they are way too conveniently exposed to ANY person of ANY intent and should be in a less open and vulnerable spot. I also noticed that the floor around the bottles and host stand was in need of a thorough sweeping as well. I might try this place again or maybe not. Neutral. read more

The food was on point. Fried chicken sandwich and the biscuits and gravy were very very good. The home fries were a nice addition too (flavorful and crispy). Only reason giving it a 4 was the time it took to get our food (just over 45 minutes). We sat outside on the covered patio which had some space heaters and was enjoyable even though it was in the 40s. read more

My husband and I went to Showroom for breakfast. We liked that they were open early because we are early birds, and we were able to take our pup before it got too hot outside. The food was good. Wife had a Belgian waffle but the syrup is awful aunt jemima butter rich is really good and would go well with their waffles. I know good wings and these were ok right amount of crisp but the siracha was really hot. The chicken pot pie poppers were great and as another reviewer wrote they should really increase the number of them you get at least by 1 for the price. I was extremely annoyed by having a reservation and then getting shuffled to the back of the restaurant near the bathrooms as if I was dressed inappropriately or needed to sit in a "separate section" and the hostess knew I was annoyed by being put "out of sight" so to speak. Our waiter Antonio was super thorough and very attentive. I had a breakfast sandwich it was ok but I'm partial to bacon egg and cheese sandwiches from New York. The only reason I'm not giving 4 stars is because I felt I had stepped back into pre-1968 where I was sat. Cultural sensitivity is important!!! read more
