Good onion rings and portions. Only two draft choices (both IPAs). Plenty of TV screens. Friendly and accommodating staff.

A great place that's your average hole in the wall bar. Bathrooms that don't really lock and a patio. My kinda bar :)

This place looked like an unfinished basement and had a musty smell. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

You can order food from Avery's upstairs (blue cheese burger was amazing), small clientele, not even remotely pretentious.

I'm definitely a sauce person on my pizza and this was right up my alley. Buttery thick crust. My friend got the chicken cutlet caesar sandwhich and she loved it said the dressing had crazy flavor and her cutlet was super crispy. We definitely need to go back and try more things. All of their pizzas look really unique. Table next to us got the one with a lot of pepperoni on it and it looked very good too. I reccomend parking at the Church Street Garage to access the restaurant as it's sort of hard to find parking. Interior was quaint and conservative and our waitress was amazing and very sweet.

The restaurant was a bit full and as we decided to give this spot a try sort of last minute, we were more than happy to sit at the bar. We were exhausted from a long day and starving, and because of both those things we skipped cocktails. It was very disappointing to have to do all our ordering through the app, resulting in virtually zero interaction with any staff whatsoever. It left me with just an odd feeling I can't explain, perhaps because we were looking right at staff sitting at the bar and yet no one spoke to us. Anyway, the food was great (my friend had the smash burger and fries) and I will be coming back at least once for the poutine again and to try their pizza. Apparently they are known for their pizzas and they ones I saw did look delicious.

It filled up fast, and there was a lively bar crowd, and also an engagement party celebration upstairs. All of the servers were so friendly, and happy to share their favorite dishes and beers, etc. We started with the wings, which were great, and then we had the house salad with salmon and the burger and fries. OK, I did not order the burger and fries, but my boyfriend did, and I ate half the fries on his plate, they were that good! Great, friendly, with generous pours for wine, and just a really friendly, great place with perfect food for a winter day. I wish I could find a place like this in Washington, DC.

There's a lot of potential here, but when your wagyu burger costs more than Le Diplomate's iconic burger in DC, I'm expecting something amazing. Every ingredient was very seasoned on its own, but when combined, the burger was overwhelmingly salty. I could barely taste anything besides salt. The cocktails were also overly sweet, and I regrettably had to send them back a couple of times. That said, our waiter's service was excellent. But this place needs a lot of improvement. Way too salty, too greasy, and overpriced.

The appetizer came out swinging with the Steak and Cheese Eggrolls -- perfectly crispy, packed with flavorful filling, and paired with queso that had just the right kick. Then came the wood-grilled Smashed Smoker Burger with Sarah's smoky aioli. Whoever Sarah is... can she please come cook in my kitchen? I'd put that aioli on everything. Every ingredient on the burger was balanced perfectly, and the fries had the ideal hint of salt to finish it off. Our waitress was super sweet and always checked on us. Definitely visiting again.

Despite persistent insistence, we were forced to sit in the bar section and led to the very back next to the bathrooms and the kitchen and seated in high rise chairs at tiny mismatched tables shoved together in haste. This was our end of year get together and we are teachers. I have traveled all over the world and never been treated with such a lack of hospitality. This is the second time that we have been standing at the front and having to engage in an argument just to sit at a table. Outrageous! My evening was ruined.

We were greeted immediately when we walked in and you could tell many of the folks there were regulars - like a modern Cheers vibe. My personal favorite among the beers was the En Fleur and we really liked the Penny Pincher and the Irish Stout they had. I even tried my first breakfast stout there (though I probably will never have beer for breakfast in my wiser years)! It is in the same space as a burger spot, which I think is really smart. We will definitely be back!

OMG; OMB is so freaking good!…read more Frederick has a wealth of local brewers, and Olde Mother is consistently at the top of the heap. The taproom at OMB has a warm, Cheers-like vibe (they don't know my name, but I'm working on it!). Their taps feature a rotating selection of light, sour/fruity, hoppy, dark/malty, and non-alcoholic beers. I'm a fan of their various Kolsches, and their stouts are "interesting" (I enjoyed their Morning Ritual Golden Breakfast Stout this week: looks like a lager, with a maple syrup taste that was really refreshing. Guinness it wasn't!). They also offer cocktails and wines for those poor people that can't appreciate a well-crafted, well-poured brews (pagans!). Pours are generous, prices are reasonable, value is great. They even have a selection of board games so you can while away a cold (or hot) evening by yourself or with friends. But wait: there's more... OMB shares space with Backslash Burgers (which was recently renamed from "50/50 Burgers" for what sounds like trademark reasons. Yelp hasn't caught the name change yet. You'll have to look them up under the old name for my (5 star, baby!) review. TLDR: amazing 50% beef/50% bacon smashburgers cooked to order with your choice of toppings, or you can choose from several very interesting regular offers. (If you like heat, try the "I Can't Feel My Face" burger. I dare you...). Sandwiches can be ordered as single or double patties, and can be made with chicken. Large groups can be accommodated, and there are regular events (bands, Night Markets, even a "Paint Your Pet" night are on this month's schedule) to help bring in thirsty and hungry hordes. Trivia Night is every Thursday, and it can get raucous. OMB shares a parking lot across the street with Gravel & Grind bike and coffee shop. It's not easily handicap accessible, with a few steps separating OMB and BB, and since both are self-service that could be a problem, but it's a great place to make helpful friends, no? The hours are also a little quirky for a pub (Monday-Saturday 11AM-10PM, Sunday 11AM-7PM). So, if you find your way to Frederick (and you should!), stop in for a great brew and burger. Tell 'em Randy sent ya...

There was a good selection of breakfast and lunch/dinner items and a wide array of desserts. Since walkways are pretty tight inside the restaurant, it was cramped and I felt like it was in a constant struggle not to get in other people's way. The gentleman carving at the ham station was very kind, and our waitress was helpful. I have no complaints with the service. The issue I had was that the restaurant sat guests in an second-floor event space. That wouldn't be an issue if you didn't have to walk up and down a few flights of stairs with your food. Yes, there was an elevator, but like I said earlier, the number of people made you feel like you were in the way while waiting for it to descend. I thought it was odd that people were seated so far away from the buffet and other guests in the restaurant, especially for the elderly guests. It was raining pretty hard that day, so I'm sure Brewer Alley's plans of seating guests outside was ruined, and that's certainly not their fault. I don't know if I'll return, but I appreciated the service and enjoyed the food.
