Ordered a quick carry out for a lunch guest. The Greek salad was pretty good (Not quite Leo's Coney Island up north but closer than I've seen yet) got a side of gyro for the carnivores and a veggie burger. It all tasted good. Everything was packed well. It was ready when I arrived and the staff offered plastic ware if I needed it. It's a clean modern looking place with a walk up and order counter. It appears that a staff person brings you your food when it's ready so that there aren't excessive amounts of people at the counter all the time. Con : the food is VERY SALTY! Me and three others came here and we all had fish sandwiches (the restaurants "known for" item), and waters along with it. Even after drinking three whole cups of iced water, our mouths were dryer than the Sahara. It's a huge turnoff considering the food tastes really great, and the prices are phenomenal. There's just nothing worse than having dry mouth all day and night because of the salt content in that sandwich. Other than that, this place is very well maintained, very fast and also very clean. I went to Showmars about a week ago, they were open for about a week before the grand opening so There were not too many people. Since this is a fast food place I didn't have great expectations so I gotta say that I was positively surprised by the food. I ordered the world famous fish sandwich and it más humongous ! Flounder was great. The pita burger (mushroom and cheddar), was good, not amazing but having it served on a pita was a nice spin to having the traditional burger. Mac and cheese was also good. Because it is a brand new restaurant everything is very clean and it looks great! Service was also fast. I will definitely go again and try something else. read more

Went to Showmars today and as everyone had told me I really liked it and would want to go back! The staff was courteous, professional and welcoming. The restaurant offers different types of seating so pick your style. It is new and clean. Reasonable prices and well done menu with lots of choices. We were so pleased that I ordered a takeout for my husband. The flounder is awesome! The sides we chose were all good. Two of us had side salads that were fresh and filled with healthy items. Well then I looked in the takeout bag and hubby's salad was half the size we had in the restaurant FOR THE SAME PRICE. Also I recommend that Showmars take a hint from other takeout pros and add a buffer piece of cardboard between the hot plate and the salad. A SMALL WILTED SALAD is not going to keep me from returning because I believe the restaurant will correct this oversight. read more

We tried the flounder recently and found it to be amazing. Fresh, lightly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The coleslaw was spot on, pasta salad very good and even the tarter sauce was great. The price was very reasonable as well! One disappointment: two small hush puppies is all that was on the plate. The flavor was great, but this is the south and we love us some hush puppies! They aren't expensive, Showmars, so don't be stingy! Other places give ya a basket full...just sayin! read more

We had lunch here today 5/26/19. Service and food was great. I love they have the "mini menu". It's the kids meal/mini menu. Perfect portion sizes for those who want to have a decent meal without over doing it. Simple menu is another plus. Very clean and welcoming. They move the line fast and get your food out fast and it's fresh. I had the pita grilled cheese with fruit cup. Perfect for a hot day. No doubt I will come back during the week for lunch. read more

The ONE day I finally talk my family into letting me introduce them to shomars and the employee delivers our food to the table with NO MASK on, talking directly over our tray of food, germs flying EVERYWHERE!! Service is always good, the folks that work there are always so nice and helpful, I always leave the kids a few bucks on the table, and they did a fantastic job during the pandemic too! This place is awesome. I love that there are plenty of options for people who aren't that into Greek food. They also have a large selection of "mini meals" for kids OR guests with smaller appetites. Genius. All the staff were helpful - giving info about the menu, coming around to clear our plates, and offering refills. Only downside is it's cold inside, so chilly peeps should bring a sweater. This Showmars is a new restaurant in the Wake Forest area, actually in a strip mall with other restaurants. The variety of food was intriguing, although I wondered how they could be exceptional with everything. Nevertheless, we elected to try their fare. I am a big fan of fish and chips, but since we were pressed for time, I elected to get the fish sandwich, and my wife got a pita sandwich. When my sandwich arrived I was amazed at how high it was piled with fish--almost unmanageable, but a nice problem to have. With the addition of a little malt vinegar and some fries, I was very pleased. My wife was also very pleased with her sandwich. Personnel were friendly, smiling and attentive. A very nice first visit, and we have since returned for the same fare and the same pleasant experience. We highly recommend this Showmars, and feel that the other items on their menu will please also. read more

At one point I put an awesome review on here for the best Greek chicken salad now as of tonight I'm giving a bad review. I ordered two Greek chicken salads to go when I got home I was shocked on how much chicken I received on my salad. Poor poor salad. I measured the chicken. Yep I know I did but I had to. It seems like every time I order a to-go order they forget something. I did not go back for a good long time but thought I would try it again tonight and of course with my skewers with chicken they forgot the pita bread. I don't think I will be giving him another chance just happens way too often. Check your order before you leave because I had to ask for tzatziki sauce, they forgot to put that in my order. All of this comes with the meal there was nothing extra added on I will suggest that the management trains the staff on what is included with an order. read more

I ordered the flounder and shrimp plate via DoorDash on a Saturday nights at 7:45pm. It indicated my food would be here around 8:45pm; they closed at 9pm. I was hesitant to order; as I did not want the "leftovers" due to the restaurant closing within the hour (my greatest fear). I decided to be brave and give them a shot. First, it arrived a tad early at 8:30 (that was a plus). Second, I received it in a SEALED, plastic bag (plus #2) to keep it warm! Lastly, to open the box and see fish and shrimp that was "to die for" in freshness! It was delicious with hefty portions. The plate included 2 pieces of fish, a gazillion shrimp, 4 hush puppies and fries. This was 100% wonderful. I WILL be ordering from this nice little place again. Sorry, was too greedy to take a pic. The place is nice and clean, and all the staff is very nice and respectful. However, the food is not that good. We had a to go order. The rice pilaf was undercooked, we couldn't eat it and had to throw it away. Moreover it says that it comes with two sides and hush puppies but there were no hush puppies in the order. The hummus was very bland and overall the taste was just not even good in average terms. The pita was cold. now I have to say that I am European so when it says Greek food I probably have a different standard than Americans. I see that the place has very good reviews from other people that's why we decided to go there but we will not be returning. also the prices do not match the quality, it is overpriced. read more

This is such a great restaurant it even has a variety for you to pick from. They don't have a kids menus , but they have a menu that serves smaller portions of their food. unlike other restaurants that a kids meal but what if we aren't a big eater we just want something to hold us down. We would go to Showmars where the food is fresh and extremely delicious. And you don't even need to be a child to have smaller portions. We tried them out since they are very popular in Charlotte. The establishment was very clean, the associates very friendly and helpful, and overall a nice atmosphere. The food was on point. We had the Worlds Best Flounder entree and the Gyro Platter entree. The gyro was very good and fresh. The flounder was seasoned perfectly and was fried in fresh oil (not greasy or burnt tasting like old oil). The drinks are fabulous! They feature Tractor beverages and they are so satisfying.
