First time here. Tech is private and very good!

Been 6 months since I got a pedicure. Had some very bad experiences. This place is small and clean and calm. My tech was very polite and did a fantastic job.

Asked for a French manicure and this is what I got. Will never come back to shiny nails. I do not recommend.

I really like this salon and Kevin does a beautiful job. However, he never seems to be working when I call. Then I'm told to call back the next day to see if he's in. Whaaaaatttt? I need someone I can rely on! I'm going to Chloe Nails 67th Av just south of the 101. Amy does a beautiful job!!!! Newly renovated too

I asked for hearts as a design lol Yep, today wasn't one of their good days.

I been going to Shiny nails for years and I always have a different experience Sometimes they are polite and do a great job... Aaaaand sometimes they are just extremely rude. During one of my pedicures the lady told me I forgot to wax lol The one thing I do always appreciate from Shiny Nails is their cleanliness with Pedicures - they always place a new protective plastic on the pedicure chair with each customer.

Very Kind Staff And Very Clean!!! I stopped by On a Friday at 6:30 and was welcomed with a warm greeting and asked if I'd like to wait 5-10 mins. Was seated 10-mins afterwards and offered bottled water. Vy did my pedicure, and although they were busy, I appreciate the fact that I was not rushed. She kindly offered me the pricing sheet, and asked what Pedicure Package I wanted and proceeded to go on and work on my feet. This just may be my new spot for Pedicures!!!!!

My nails after a month of wear... zero chips!

Long overdue excellent review here! They always remember me and I wouldn't call myself a regular... but I guess frequent enough! I always schedule with Kathy for my manicures. I like both Kathy and Nikki for pedicures! I've had friends have great experiences with others as well though. Kathy takes her time and really makes my gel nails perfect. I went in for a repair/chipped gel once and they insisted on no money for it. Great place, friendly, busy, sometimes can be time consuming but if you go in knowing that it's no big deal.

Looks like I need a fill since she didn't paint to cuticle.

Pretty disappointed. My nails look like they need a fill which is exactly what i wanted to avoid. I came in for a fill and this was my first time so I wanted to have an open mind and the lady Tina was super friendly and nice and listened but she wasn't the one who polished my nails. The salon is super small and feels crammed. I don't like the mirror that you face when getting your nails and toes done. The tech who did my gel polish kept saying she didn't want to paint to cuticle but I explained it'll look like I need a fill which it does. When she did my pedicure she didn't open up new tools so hopefully she actually disinfected them. I personally like a salon that opens up tools from a sealed disinfectant bag so I know they been cleaned properly. Most places I have gone to do this so idk why she didn't. She charged $5 extra to take off gel polish from my toes but didn't inform me. It came to $71 for a fill with gel polish and classic pedi (no callus just basic). Which when doing the math it doesn't seem to add up right even with the $5 to take off gel. I'm sorry but I won't be back. There's much nicer salons and for the quality and bad paint job, I would rather go anywhere else. Leaving 2 stars instead of 1 cuz Tina was friendly and fixed a crooked nail.

Not neat and lumpy. This cost $33

I've been a customer of shiny nails for about three months now. The quality has gone done quite a bit. I'm not a picky person. I don't complain about anything while there. My last experience I really didn't want to pay for it. The new nail technician (no badge) was messy, and didn't put any effort to making my gel neat. No base coat and just slapped the gel polish on. The prices aren't consistent. My pedicure was below average as well. The nail polish is messy and I still have dry skin on my toe nails. Just really unfortunate.

I'm going to be recovering from my awful experience here for the rest of the week

It's experiences like these that make me resent being such a sucker. Never have I had a manicure and pedicure that was such torture. I was cut and filed till I was bleeding, and instead of walking out, I kept giving the technician the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake. Not only was it painful but my finger nails are more uneven than when I went in. I probably would have said something about all of my cuts and nails had I noticed them sooner, and not been in such a rush to get out of there. I'm just so disappointed (and mainly because I was looking forward to relaxing and being pampered after having a baby a couple months ago). Ladies please save yourself (and save your friends) some pain and go somewhere else, I honestly preferred childbirth over my experience here.

I called and made an appointment so I could get my services done. The salon is cute and clean with a pleasant vibe upon arrival. I was greeted and sat fairly quickly which was nice. The pedicure was enjoyable but she cut too much on my cuticles on my big toes (you'll see the scabs on my cuticles in the photo) which was pretty painful but it wasn't a lot nor severe. I loved the shape and the color so overall it didn't dampen my experience too much. After my pedicure was finished I thought I would be sat immediately for my nails but when I asked the woman who serviced my pedicure she told her colleagues something and then told me Id be sat in a moment and to just wait and relax in the chair. They sat down two other women before they finally sat me down (I waited a total of around 35 minutes after my pedi) which I found very unprofessional. The woman that I was sat with for my nails was in front of me and throughout my pedicure service I had watched her complete a full set with intricate design and jewels. Really the nails were quite lovely and so as you can imagine when I was sat with her, I was excited to have her complete my very basic set. I wanted short/medium almond shape with a French tip. As soon as she put the tips on I knew it was going to be an awful experience. When she asked me the length I had her adjust it a couple times to get to my preferred length and she was rude from then on and her customer service and quality of work drastically declined as she continued.. She pre shaped my nails using nail clippers to get a "rough draft" of the almond shape and asked me if I liked them, I asked her is this just the initial shape and will the shape look cleaner (more even) when we get closer to putting on the TAP gel. She yelled at me HUH and after I repeated myself she looked at me like she didn't understand and then said yeah very curt. After that, every time she had me check anything on my nails she would rudely throw my hand at me and if I would ask her to change something she would rudely and loudly yell at me HUH. I wish I would've just had her remove the tips in the beginning the first time she was rude and paid for my pedicure and left. But because I didn't do that I paid $140 ($150 after tip bc yes I tipped and mainly it was for the pedi - that woman was lovely and she shouldn't suffer bc of her rude ass colleague) to be treated very poorly, yelled at, and left with very poor quality nails that are uneven and misshapen and on my right thumb literally missing the left side of the tip because she filed it down so much. Hindsight is 20/20 and if I could go back I would've left or just gotten the gel X where the shape is already done and all they need to do is adhere it and put the design. I've added photos of my nails, both hands and my feet so you could see for yourself the quality of that woman's work. They're kinda like smoky mirrors. From afar you don't or won't see the problem but if you zoom in or really look at them you'll see how uneven not only the shape is but also the French tip design. Now are they atrocious? No. I've had worse nail shape and design wise. Is it worth the price paid for them? H3ll no. If you do try this place, I do NOT recommend the nail tech who handled my TAP gel service. I didn't get her name but she was the one who sat right behind the front desk. There's 2 tech tables on the left hand side when you walk in. Hers was the one on the right. If you're in a pinch like I was it's an eh spot. Given how I was treated and the quality of my nails AND the price. I wouldn't recommend it. I'd rather spend the same amount or more money at a salon I'm treated respectfully and kindly at and my nails are even and done beautifully without me requesting them to be fixed.

I decided to give this salon a try and had the best experience I have had in such a long time. I was able to make an early morning appointment the night before on their website. I went in for a simple manicure and pedicure. I was greeted and sat right away. I was never pressured to upgrade or made to feel like I was wasting their time for requesting the basics. The lady who took care of me did an amazing job. She was sweet, she was fast, she never nipped me or anything. I am actually looking forward to coming back. On top of all of that the prices were really great too. This will be my new regular spot of any of my nail needs.

We came for the Zero Gravity Pedicure experience. We walked in and were greeted right away. We sat for a moment, then we were both called back for our appointments. We were originally booked back to back, but we wanted to sit together and they said that would be fine. The pedicure room is long and lights were dim. One wall is back lit with a shear drape and twinkle lights. The request is that we are quiet and we unplug from our devices. There is zen music lightly playing. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that there was a change in the schedule and I would get my treatment at the same time. My experience was so relaxing. I sat in my comfy chair. She turned on the heat and the vibrations. I was sitting up for the initial foot soak and pedi. Then, it's time to recline back. I was enveloped with a warm blanket, heated neck pillow, steam eye mask and sound blocking head phones, playing zen music. Next, I received shoulder, scalp, then foot and leg massages. The next thing I remember, I was waking up and my pedi was done. I think I took a nap. Lol. Of course you pick your color at the beginning and they charge extra if you have a gel polish to remove, like I did. Expect to spend an hour. Once you try this you won't want anything less. Check it out. I will be back for sure.
