The Shake Shack in Wayne, NJ has outstanding customer service. On Sunday, August 11, my family and I celebrated my best friend's birthday (Birthday Beauty) and my wedding anniversary and the team at Shake Shake in Willowbrook Mall treated us with exceptional service and the food was absolutely delicious. The team made us feel at home and they were extremely attentive. We had a large order and it was handled accurately and quickly. All of the food was hot and fresh. Shake Shack is like the In-N-Out of the East Coast. You order everything seperately which makes it super expensive. Like almost $5 for 6 little pieces of breaded chicken? Hello, I just wanted to share that this was my first experience trying out Shake Shack. There is a plethora of dining options in this town, but I opted for Shake shack! I got there with my family at 10:30 pm very close to closing. But to our surprise the courtesy the manager Eric displayed to us was more than welcoming. He helped us use the app, as well as advise us on the menu options. We did not feel rushed which we were afraid of. He continuously checked in on us and made sure the food was to our liking and that our first experience was a good one. The food was delicious! Unanimously we agreed that this was the best fast food burger- hands down! We tried about every entree option from the menu including the shake and lemonade. But I must say it was the customer service and enthusiasm that truly makes me want to go back very soon! The manager and his staff were 5 star amazing and we thank you so much for your hospitality! This is by far my favorite Shake Shack location in comparison to Livingston and Bridgewater. Love the tablet ordering which cuts down on the long lines you usually get at other Shake Shack locations. Mobile payment and credit cards are accepted but if you want to pay by cash, you need to go to the front and pay. There's also ample seating inside, as well as outside. Two things I do have a gripe on: -The crispy chicken did not have spicy sauce. Not sure if Shake Shack changed their recipe since the launch of this item or of this location ran out of sauce, but I was sad. -The black sesame shake was so disappointing. I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed with Shake Shack for expanding to Wayne. For the most part, shake shack employees have been friendly, but today was next level. Employees escorted people to kiosks, came around three times to ask how I was doing (anymore than this would have been annoying), and overall just provided a friendly atmosphere for me to enjoy my sandwich and shake. My wife and I visited Shake Shack near the Willowbrook mall tonight. We really enjoyed their burgers and fries and a hot dog. They were head and shoulders above other comparable offerings in this area. We also met Eric the manager who was very friendly and very helpful as well when I thought I had lost my debit card. The food here is just mediocre. I got the chicken sandwich and the piece of chicken was so thick it was unappetizing. It was falling off the soggy bun every time I took a bite. I asked for cheese on it and that was a bad mistake because I had to pay $1.00 for a Kraft single. The cheese was like rubber and did not even melt. Yesterday was my Very First visit to Shake shack, I went in knowing full well that I live in the middle of Newson Destroyed state Calif ( everything over priced and a rip off ) either way we walked in and first impression was ok. I saw a row of auto order and pay machines which i hate but Calif.. My wife placed the order for us , and knowing that the prices would most likely be high i told her just a basic cheese Burger no fry's or drink Zilch.. i went to sit and when she sat next to me I asked her how much was it ? she said $22 dollars i thought dam !!! well i knew it would be high but DAM !! then a server brings us our food tray with the burgers ? my first reaction was ??? did we order a kids meal?? wife said no . and i blew up are you efen kidding me? this is absolute BS the burgers size were an Absolut JOKE !! we just spent 12 dollars for this? are you kidding me? my gosh Governor Newson is a total Idiot for raising the min wage to 20 an hour why the hell is he in office ? regardless as per my wife i kept calm and ate the micro burger and finished it in 4 bites. Flavorful burger with lots of charred surface area, juicy patty, soft potato bun. Fries are always crispy and salty. No complaints but one recommendation, the fries with cheese aren't as good as the plain ones. It's unnecessary and not as good as the regular. read more

Many people only find the time to review fast food places when there's a problem or an issue with their experience. 4-5 stars only when they feel like showing off to their social network friends that they had an experience at a pricey/classy joint. I am a teacher of special needs students. I took my students to this Shake Shack location yesterday and could not have been happier about the service that we received. Jasmine, the store manager, went out of her way to accommodate the needs of my students and make our visit extremely enjoyable. She and her co-workers were kind and patient to my students as each one placed his order. Jasmine came over to our tables several times during the meal to ensure that we had everything we needed. Not only was the service exceptional, but the food was equally as delicious. The burgers, fries, and chicken nuggets that we ordered were fresh and served hot. The restaurant offers a nice selection of beverages, and the fountain beverages are fill-it-yourself, which my students enjoyed. We left the restaurant feeling so completely happy, and my students are already asking when we can return to this restaurant. I shared our wonderful experience with my peers and the administration and we plan to take our students to this restaurant regularly. This is just a warning that if you order from here and you receive a text message after you order saying "we will text you when your order is ready," apparently that is a lie and the expectation is for you to stand near the door, near a bunch of other people (even though you're not allowed inside where staff is, of course, but they expect you to stand bunched together outside apparently) to hear them say your name. Received my cold food after 25 minutes of waiting patiently in my car for the text, but only received because I went inside to ask since it had been so long. It was sitting right there. Great parking. The server was attentive and knew her stuff. The food was still hot when I got home which is pretty impressive. Ordered a black/white shake. It was good, kinda on the thick side but you could taste all the flavors. My daughters shake was really thick. We had to using a straw from a sports cup that we had at home so she could enjoy hers. We both had the chicken sandwich, which i think was ok. It was really thin (should be alittle thicker) and crispy (which was nice). I was not blown away by the flavor. There is a chick fil A next door and I think there chicken is better. The fries were great, crunchy and tasty. They forgot two things in my order being that I live 15-20 minutes away I decided to take the loss but this is the 2nd time out of two times that they forgot something. The food is great but horrible service. The touch screens always have a problem when ordering. The manager is a janitor running around cleaning tables opposed to managing his staff. The short guy that manages Friday nights is who I'm talking about. Only one person dies the in person ordering and the line always takes about ten minutes just to place the order. Super disappointed with my to go order this evening with the wayne, NJ location. I ordered a large order totaling $72.47. Got home to open the bag and not one item was done correctly. Firstly I ordered a cheese dog, there was no cheese and the hotdog was burnt & bun was stale. The fries were cold, all thrown in the bag disheleved. We ordered 3 burgers with shack sauce on the burger as well as on the side. Not only was there no sauce on the burger, there was not one single sauce on the side. Also the burgers are advtertised as cooked medium, they were all well done to the point of being burnt. Next, we got three chicken sandwiches with herb mayo on the sandwich as well as on the side. There was no sauce on the sandwiches OR on the side ! So I got home to open a bag of cold fries , messed up sandwiches , burgers, & missing sauces. It was a complete disaster. We even waited for our food ! No reason the fries should be freezing. I've been eating at shake shack for years & never experienced such a horrible experience. I called the location to complain & see if I could pick up the sauces, and they would not even answer the phone! This location can't seem to get things right. read more

I used to live/go to school near the OG Shake Shack in Madison Square Park. I remembered it being really good, so figured I'd check out the newest Jersey outpost after doing some shopping nearby. First off, the manager seems to really be on his A-game. He was constantly checking on guests, making sure staff was expediting food (even telling staff calling out pick-up names, to speak-up etc). The food was really good. Everything seemed freshly prepared and packaged neatly. I tried the ShackBurger (single) which was great, and I didn't feel weighed down after eating it. I also got a side of their signature crinkle cut fries. Way better than any other frozen fries out there!! I even made a second visit later that weekend to try the Chick'n Shack. It was STUPID CRISPY (I got it without the buttermilk herb mayo--not a fan of Ranch). The chicken was meaty and just as delicious as the burger. read more

I ordered online and by mistake sent the order to the Parsippany store instead of Wayne. I called Parsippany and they told me they would transfer the order to Wayne and I didn't need to do anything except fo pick it up. Got to Wayne and the order wasn't there. I explained to the manager what happened and he said don't worry about it. He placed a new order and didn't charge me. It wasn't his fault that I placed the order to the wrong store, or that the other store didn't properly sent the order to his store....but that didn't stop him from making sure I had a good customer experience on behalf of "shake shack". Shake Shack has over expanded and the quality has sunk. Danny Meyer, the founder ,had a great thing going when he had his original 2 locations. His Midwestern style (Steak n Shake type burgers using a private LaFrieda blend ) are excellent if prepared correctly. The fast expansion has left consistency lacking as many of the newly hired managers are not trained properly nor are their people. The Vienna Chicago Dog is also very good and the fries still the weak part of the menu. It is overpriced and the pricing seems based on his NYC costs/locations. They need to stop opening new locations, close and/or fix the existing ones. read more

I ordered a burger and drink through DoorDash form this location and my meal was not only cold but my entire drink was outright missing with the Dasher informing me that this location outright did not give it to him. Then when I called and attempted to speak with an associate about it no one picked up, I then attempted to speak to a manager only for no one to pick up again. I called again an hour later and managed to get through to a manager however they did not help me and placed blame solely on doordash despite them splitting a burger and drink into two separate orders/bags. Would not recommend this location, clearly poorly organized and managed, normally really enjoy Shake Shack's food but this location is definitely not worth the time or money. read more

Shake Shack was worth the wait. I've only been there once, but that is subject to change! I had their shackburger and cheese fries and both were delicious. The shackburger is a bit more expensive than I'd like, but it doesn't detract from the quality and flavor. The burger is cooked well and is topped with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and their special sauce which is absolutely amazing! Fries were crispy and hot and the cheese was just as melted cheese should be (can't remember what kind of chess was used). I'd imagine you'd be getting more for your buck with a different burger, and a better meal as well. Scrolling through the kiosk inside shows they also sell hot dogs and sandwiches as well as drinks and shakes (which seem expensive even for a small). Overall, ShakeShack is amazing and I'll be sure to head back again! read more
