The set up is nice, easy to order at the self service counter and decent amount of seating inside and plenty of seating outside. The food was as expected, solid like any other shake shack. I came here on a Monday and was surprised to see how empty it was. Usually, the plaza itself is packed and the surrounding food spots are packed as well. Anyways, I ordered two burgers and a drink. Finally one in north Orange County! Great location, formerly Corner Bakery. Plenty of outdoor seating if you can't find a table inside. There's also a Starbucks next door...what a combo! Parking during peaks hours can get a bit tough but the burgers are worth the fight. Yes they may not be as economical to its counterpart (INO) just down the street but their burgers are well seasoned and perfectly cooked. They have better fries here also and other options like the shroom burger or even their fried chicken sandwiches which are equally as good as the burgers! Don't forget their concretes too. I have been here several times but also know that if I'm traveling and I see a Shake Shack, but I'm in for. They have some of my favorite french fries which become even better with cheese sauce. Of course their Frozen Custard is amazing. I don't think their hot dogs get enough praise as well. Staff works efficiently. If you want quality taste you're better off spending your hard earned money at in n out. There was no taste in their burgers nor hot dogs. Shake were just loaded sugar and diabetes. Oh and if you don't tip, you get no service. Even the worker who brings food out to you somehow knows whether you tipped or not because we did an experiment. No tip = no service - we ordered off of a kiosk. Just ask the worker who did not bring us our extra cup and lid (so we can split our own drinks for the kids) even though he asked, "is there anything else I can get you?" upon bringing the food over as we make room on the table to make your life easier. First of all, the pricing is ridiculous. If I owned this chain, I'd never open a location where there is an In-N-Out nearby. You're literally paying twice as much for a product that isn't nearly as good. And that's a 100% true statement. I mean the place is worth trying, but you are either crazy or you just have money to burn to justify paying that much, when In-N-Out is right down the street. I can see this place surviving in other states that don't have In-N-Out, because those people don't know any better. My son and I got a very disappointing meal that was mediocre and way overpriced. I gave it another try thinking the first time was a fluke and they hadn't gotten things together.. once again very disappointing. The meat patty was small, and both times I got a single sliver of tomato along with a very small wilted piece of lettuce. The hamburger was bland and unsatisfying. Took my elderly Asian mom to eat here because she was craving a burger. I am going to write this from the perspective from a complaining older Asian lady who is horrible with technology. We walked in, I had to order for her because I knew she was going to complain if she had to figure out how to use the kiosk, there were about 4 kiosks, I did not see a regular register. It said to take a number for to go orders. I gave my mom the number and told her to wait until they called her number because I was going to grab a drink next door. I come back and she is grumbling because she said there is no way to figure out if her food is ready. I asked if they called her number and she said no.. uh ok mom. Anyways I take the number and they called me by name instead of the number, i was thinking to myself.. why have a number, not a huge deal to me. They have a lot of staff behind the counter just standing there, waiting, for food. Just an observation not a complaint. On to the food, sooo good! It was picture perfect and fresh.
