Tonkotsu, Spicy miso, and Original House soup. Beef toro, pork belly, Prime Flat Iron Steak. Gyoza and soy glazed chicken karaage.

I came to have dinner for a friend's belated birthday celebration. You will only get seated when all of your party is here and you can only sit for 90 minutes. This is an all you can eat place. I got the Original House broth. My stove gas took awhile to boil the soup for some reason as rest of my party had their pot all ready boiled. This happened to me at one other time when I came here and not sure why. Other than waiting longer than expected for my broth soup to boil in order to put ingredients in to cook, everything else was fine. Service was nice. I like the thin slices of meat to cook in the broth soup.

Our nephew gave us a treat! It was a Mothers day weekend and with my birthday and my husband coming up, he was too sweet to include and take us out with the family. Our nephew recommended this place and it did not disappoint! For me, soups are always a great idea. They're always comforting. Especially I love veggies too! I love how big the place is.it's huge, clean and the staff were pleasant with very fast and good service. Parking is not a problem either and their price is pretty reasonable for an AYCE buffet even though it's just mostly boiled meats. It's healthier anyways. Definitely would come back and try it again.

If you come for lunch on weekdays it's only $20. It's not a bad place for hot pot but there are better. The meat is sliced thinly which is perfect and service is always really nice. But, because it is open bar for the side dishes some of it isn't really fresh and some of the seafood is fishy. It can get really loud but for what it is the place is pretty clean. They have lots of seating so good for parties.

I grew up coming to Shabuya (from when it first opened to now) and this place is still a staple for my family! Meat is cut fresh and the portion sizes for meat were perfect for us. It doesn't seem like a lot on the plate but it adds up! We were a party of 3 and I signed up on the waitlist on Yelp. I love that option since it's always super helpful. Our waiter was Reagan and he was great, he came to check on us often and was attentive and helpful. Food was great, selection is good and had the things I usually eat. For $29.99 this is not bad at all! I will be continuing to come back :)

We love Shabuya, but we usually go to the one in Concord as it's conveniently located in a plaza/mall, but that location gets really busy and there's always a wait. This was our second time at this location and it was on a weekend so I decided to add us to the waitlist, and when we got there, there was no wait. It was a pretty busy day. It's spacious with ample refills throughout the day. The lighting a dim with natural sunlight during the days The soup and options always hit here and it's always bustling with full tables and bellies apparently. My son does not each much as a 9 year old but is tall enough for full price so it's not worth it for him, but we take him anyway because we love it so much. The service was good and the staff there seem to be more friendly than the Concord location. If you have a huge appetite, this is such a great place and the food is so comforting. I also appreciate the sauce bar. Since it's an AYCE, most people are in and out and some stay a while to get their money's worth. Either way, I highly recommend this for hot pot and looking to be a glut for the day. This place is an all around hit for my family and I can't wait to come back.

10/10 experience. Shabuya is a go-to hot pot place for me. This was my boyfriend and I's first time at this location. We actually prefer this location! There's a good amount of places to park. This location is so much more spacious compared to their Concord one. We were greeted kindly after walking in and were seated immediately. Our server Barrett was on it! Our orders came promptly. There's a huge variety of sides to choose from and a make-your-own-sauce station. Meat quality was great! To note, they have a clean lavatory.

price: $30 per person They have a wide variety of sides to choose from with seafood, quail eggs, veggies, noodles etc. The sauce polar was also plentiful as I enjoyed having ponzu sauce and the radish! the meat quality is pretty good and service was really quick on a Saturday night.

Shabuya is one of my favorite places to go for AYCE hotpot! It's always a fun time, and the servers are always a great vibe. Also super easy to join the waitlist, just do it through Yelp but make sure you're within distance! The location itself is pretty big with parking all around. The eating experience involves choosing your broth, meats (up to 8 per round!), and appetizers if you're interested. My boyfriend and I always get chicken and gyoza. You can then get your noodles, veggies, seafood, and sauces from the self serve area in the middle of the restaurant. Pretty easy to navigate, and everything is so yummy! My personal must-gets are the sukiyaki broth, pork belly, glass noodles, and lots of cabbage and mushrooms! Super filling and hearty! They also have fun soju cocktails if you're interested, definitely try out for a fun time!

WOW my new favorite Hot Pot Lunch spot!!! This is my first time eating here and I'm definitely glad we came to Shabuya!!! Loving this Lunch Special!!! All you can eat for twenty bucks!!! Super Great Deal!! Delicious Spicy Miso Broth with Beef, Pork, Prawns, Chicken, Tofu, Fish, Mushrooms, and Veggies-absolutely yummy!!!! This is a great place for any occasions! I recommend coming here on weekdays because it won't be too Crowded. This place get super packed on weekends!! Spacious Seatings inside. Self-Serve Station areas loaded with Deliciousness!! My friend and I enjoyed our Lunchtime here!!!Love it and I am Definitely Coming back to this Shabuya for sure!!!

One of my go to AYCE shabu/hotpot spots! There are limited selection of meats and sides that you can choose from. I usually order all their beef meats (only ones worth ordering). Loved the variety of noodles that were available. Do keep in mind you're able to combine you broths. I usually combine sukiyaki with their tonkotsu. The sauce bar has enough of your usual/typical choices. I wish they had another peanut option besides the sesame sauce. Otherwise, great place to eat with family and friends. Quick and friendly service.

The lunch deal for $20.99/person is so worth in this economy. Our waiter was super attentive, bringing us napkins and checking in on us frequently. You have a 90 minute limit, so what I usually do is scoop as much broth as I can into the bowl provided to you for eating. This makes the broth come to a boil faster. When your broth gets low you can just add the lukewarm broth back or ask your server to dilute it if it's too salty. Unlimited appetizers come with the special, but I don't think it's worth your stomach space. My group of 3 prioritized the meat and ended up almost finishing 16 plates of beef brisket and 2 plates of beef belly. This was after I picked a bunch of veggies and glass noodles from the sauce and veggie/seafood bar. The facilities, especially the sauce bar and seafood/veggie island, were cleaned frequently which is impressive. After the table next to us, two guys bussed and thoroughly wiped down the table with a wet towel pretty quickly. I think this location is pretty popular even despite all the new hot pot places always popping up in the Bay Area so do come at a good time to expect to not wait 1+ hrs to be seated.

First time at this location. The servers were super nice and helpful. It wasn't too crowded when we came here so we had an awesome experience. There was a variety of food from meat livers to vegetarian items. We will be back, especially when soup season is still here!

We are here almost once a week with our 18 month old. The restaurant is always clean with welcoming staff. Though it's always a bit cold inside. They had a good selection of broths and meats plus a good size veggies & seafood bar. I always get the sukiyaki soup while my husband gets the original. I love being able to load up on veggies and the all you can eat aspect of it. Can't wait to go again

Beef and seafood galore!

Do they sell their “Goma” dressing? Some restaurants sell their salad dressings so wondering if they sell “Goma” dressings ? If so what size and how much per container? Thx

Their website says they open at 11:30am on Sunday but the e yelp page says 11:00am? Which is it?

Hi there, yes we do!

Is this hot pot only? No kbbq option as well? Trying to look that has both options

Yes, hot pot only. No kbbq options.

Do you offer free birthday person?

Unfortunately, we do not have any promotions for birthdays, but would love to celebrate with you at Shabuya!

Do you accept reservations?

Yes, we do accept reservations via Yelp waitlist!

Can we bring a birthday cake for party of five?

Absolutely 😀 The Staff are super nice.

How many ounces is each plate of meat for AYCE?

The exact weight of each plate of meat isn't specified on their official menu. However, in shabu-shabu establishments, meat servings typically range from 4 to 8 ounces per plate. For precise information, it's best to contact Shabuya directly or… Read more

I'm planning a 17th birthday here for a friend and I have a couple of questions to ask. Do they take cash or is it credit only? Do you need everyone there to join the waitlist, or can you put your name on the waitlist and the # of the people going?

They accept both cash and credit. You can join the waitlist in advance but your whole party must be present to be seated.

Do they do lunch prices on holidays?

No, holidays are always dinner prices.

Is there private room for group of 10? Or reservation for big group needed?

I've never seen another special room at this restaurant just an open restaurant concept. They can set up the tables for a party of 10.

Can they accommodate a large party of approx 60 guests for a lunch? How much for lunch on a Thursday? Does it include drinks?

They look like they have the space for it. But I have asked and no reservation are taken. Maybe it's different for larger parties.

Do you use meats that are hormone and antibiotic free?

Can you confirm if the miso broth purely vegetarian?

Miso contains fish and so it's not vegetarian. They do have vegetarian broth though!

I have never been to this restaurant. What can one expect? Is the bar still open for seafood and salads? Is their a time limit? Are reservations needed for dinner on Tuesdays or Wednesdays? Is it unlimited proteins?

I believe the self-serving bar is still open. Last time when I was there, which was about 1 month ago, they only allow one person per table to use the bar at any given time. I don't think they take reservations but the place is huge. You add your… Read more

Are you open for lunch on New Year 01/01/2022 (tomorrow)? Thanks.

What Covid-related accommodations are still being made, if any (e.g. open doors/windows, reduced capacity, closed buffet section, etc.)?

I went on New Years Day 2022 and they still require masks, take your temperature before being seated, and require you to sanitize and put on disposable gloves before you help yourself at the buffet.

Are Dec 30 and Dec 31 both lunch price before 3 pm? Thanks

Hello! We will be serving the regular menu all day.

I used my own eyes and saw the vibe and then went in without checking anything on the internet. And I was very happy that I did. This is a very CHINESE place. I have heard of such hotpot places in China. They cater to the customers very well. The bathroom has toothbrush and toothpaste and other stuff to get you cleaned up after eating hot pot. There are endless appetizers and Chinese desserts, as well as snacks for you to load up (all free!), and there are lots of sauces and whatnot for you before you even order. All self-served. The hot pot broth is very tasty, and you can then order items to put in the hotpot. For those of us who cannot decide, they have combo mushrooms platter so you don't have to choose, and beef offals mixed platter so you get a little bit of everything. The types of items available for hot pot is distinctively Chongqing stuff, so don't get too turned off if you don't see the usual hot pot stuff. It's not the run of mill kind of place. You get a nice booth and you get to refill the broth whenever you want. My favorite are the nice cold mung bean noodles that you would otherwise pay at least $10 to get as a side dish. It's free and endless. This is all you can eat and free. The second favorite thing that I couldn't get enough of is the different sesame balls they served up, all freshly made and incredibly tasty. My absolute third favorite is the various Chinese desserts that are locally found in Sichuan. Again all free. Onto the items we ordered. I really liked the thinly sliced lamb beef and hand cut beef (thicker), as well as mushrooms, veggies and beef offals. You don't have to decide on one thing, love the combo selections and very reasonable in cost. I also ordered pork blood which my parents liked. The price point is medium to low. Comparing to other hot pot restaurants, it's definitely very inexpensive. So I am surprised that they are making money honestly but that made my parents happy as they like a good deal. My parents really enjoyed the ingredients, the process and the endless appetizers and desserts plus local Chinese snacks that you can load up while eating the hot pot (individually packed quail eggs and tofu snacks). The restaurant chain is from China. So they cater to what the new gen Chinese hot pot goers want. Lots of variety, good price points, and a good beginning to end customer oriented process. A slight interesting observation - they have hair ties up front, in case you need to tie up your hair before getting down in business. I eat everywhere in the world because of my job and demanding travel work schedule. I am usually not impressed by food but this place is definitely top notch. I think I ate at least four variety of sesame balls. Yes they are fried, but they are fresh and delicious. It took an hour to get there, but it's totally worth it. Bonus points, made my parents happy in advance of Chinese New Year.

We came with a group of eight and were able to comfortably share one large table, which made the experience feel really fun and communal. We ordered a big variety of meats, veggies, noodles, and rice for our split pot with a mild Szechuan broth and a tomato broth. As soon as the waiter took our paper order, all the food came out at once, which was super convenient. They placed everything on a small side table next to us so we could cook and eat at our own pace without feeling rushed. There was also a great self-serve sauce bar with lots of sauces, small snacks, and soups, which added a lot to the experience. Overall, the quality of both the meats and vegetables was really good, and everyone left feeling very full and satisfied. The only downsides were the service and the spice level. It was pretty hard to get the waiters' attention if we needed water refills or more soup base, and they didn't check on us after dropping off the food. Also, we ordered the "mild" Szechuan broth, but it was much spicier than expected -- more like a medium. It was also quite oily, so we had to skim some of the oil off the top. Overall though, I'd still recommend it for the food quality and group-friendly hot pot experience.

We didn't expect the Tom Yum broth to have such a strong coconut flavor. I didn't enjoy it. We mostly ate from the green rattan pepper broth, which was very spicy but pretty good! For sides, we got the lettuce, mentaiko fish balls, tofu skin, udon, enoki mushrooms, and Angus eye steak. I wouldn't get the lettuce again, since it gets too soggy in hot pot. I would opt for other vegetables instead. That said, one issue I had was that a fly flew into my sauce while we were eating. There were a couple of other flies flying around, likely because we were seated near the door. Since it was just my sauce, I was able to replace it, so I didn't mind too much but I'd avoid sitting near the door next time and hope they keep it closed. Overall, with so many hot pot places in the Bay Area, I'm not sure if this one will stand out especially with strong competition in Milpitas and San Jose. The quality is good, and the restaurant concept is cool. However its expensive compared to other places! I just hope they invest in better marketing, since we only discovered this place while heading to another restaurant in the same plaza. Their $17 lunch specials are pretty cheap so maybe I'd come back for a lunch special one day.
