Definitely worth the drive up to Snowbird for this restaurant. Amazing food. Amazing views. Amazing service. We love spending time in nature and riding the tram up to Hidden Peak. This place has a cool retro 70s vibe, hence the name. The inside decor is groovy and the patio views are to die for. The menu and quality of the food is top notch. And i will testify to anyone, anywhere that they have THE best French Onion soup I've ever tasted. The delicious broth and the yummy bread and the gooiest cheese baked on top. I want a bowl right now just thinking about it! We have tried ALL of their appetizers (small plates) and I would recommend all of them. Favorites are warm Salmon Dip and the Roasted Cauliflower. The baseball steak is cooked to perfection and the fish is fresh and tasty. They also have burgers and fresh salads. They have a great drink selection with many craft cocktails. The servers are from all over the country and its fun to talk and get to know them. I highly recommend Seventy One to one and all. Parents and children. Locals and tourists. This place is quite the experience! It feels like you're right back in the 70s. The decorations are consistent with that decade as well as the bathroom! Definitely check those fun patterns out in the bathroom (the men's bathroom apparently has TVs over each urinal)! The food was yummy as well! 10/10 recommend the flatbreads! Was at the Cliff spa today and decided to have a late lunch here after. We sat in the bar area and skipped drinks but I got the crunchy Asian salad with chicken. It was surprisingly good! The wonton strips, chicken and dressing were all amazing. I must say the best part was probably the noodles which is a nice touch since most places that have this type of salad don't have that ingredient. I definitely recommend it! read more

We came to snowbird to celebrate a friends 40th birthday and wanted a fun and delicious dinner. Our server was not kind and told us to "make do" with only two food menus for 8 people. The service or lack there of was very slow. We had soggy chips & dry chicken & bad cake. I would not recommend spending any time or money at this restaurant. Pleasantly surprised by a hotel restaurant. First i loved the 70's decor. The bathroom wallpaper was so cute....strange to notice but had to share. Loved the feel of the place. Service was great. Went there on Fathers day and quite disappointed with the food and totally over priced. $164 for 4ppl and food not measuring up to price made the visit very disappointing. The Ahi nachos was good, my son's steak was drenched in some sauce that tasted average, my chicken with waffle was ok and lobster roll would of been better heated up than cold. We didn't want to make a big deal because it was really busy. My Mac with chopped brisket could have been served as a side, not a full meal. The steak and burger were good. Great service two nights from Ramona and also Jackson. We got the poke nachos and we eat poke twice a week super pleased. My hubby had the ribs he loved them, kid had grill cheese minus the beef patty was the request. I made my own pizza bread vegan with olives. Fresh basil and tomatoes amazing. The fried chicken my hubby got the second visit since we were snowed in and stuck on the mountain, another hit. The dessert is to die for too. Can't go wrong. This is the replacement for El Chanate, which was originally the Mexican Keyhole. Both had brief times of excellence, and many years of getting by because there was almost no other choice. After 30 years of wishing for something better, SeventyOne comes along and breaks the mold. My primary time for dining at a place in this location is during timeshare week. Otherwise, Steakpit and the Lodge call first. That could change now. This place is a fantastic play on old diner with modern versions of the classics. Normally, I am not a fan with "twists" added to classics. There is a reason they are classics. They don't need a twist, and giving them one won't make it better. However, sometimes you can up the ingredients and technique and make it better. The burger meat is a mix of Brisket, Chuck & Short Rib. That's the type of thing I do when grinding my burger meat. Each cut adds something to the mix, beefy flavor, fat, texture, etc. These burgers can be ordered medium rare, and they are GOOD.The St. Louis Ribs are the real thing. They are not trying to be a replacement for top Kansas ribs, but they are good. The baseball steak, excellent. It's the same thing with the Northern Fried Chicken. We are there several times and it was always a winner. Meanwhile they have a full liquor license, so that just made this a better diner. We ate indoors and outdoors. It's a beautiful patio that should be calling you in the summer when it's hot in the valley. read more

Very Disappointing Experience - We decided to treat ourselves and try the new SeventyOne restaurant located in the Cliff Lodge for dessert. We ordered the hot fudge brownie sundae with carmel corn. The description on the menu sounded delicious. Unfortunately, the dessert arrived with no carmel corn and the hot fudge was so skimpy I wasn't sure if there was any more than a teaspoon on it. When we asked our waiter about it, he did not seem familiar with what the dessert was supposed to have. He went back to the kitchen and brought out a little cup of topping which looked like pieces of a crumbled butterfinger bar. No carmel corn. There was a tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream covered with whipped cream on top of a brownie that tasted like a Betty Crocker mix. But hot fudge? Nope. This was the only item we tried from the menu and we won't go back. read more

Really really bad. Mostly. Eggplant parm was hard and bitter as hell. Inedible. My daughter's chicken in the battered chicken over salad was overcooked, cold and horrible. The odd part is that my son's filet was actually really good. I guess even a broken clock is right 2x a day. Such an amazing delightful surprise. Was a little leery after seeing 3.5 stars overall, but was quickly swayed. The favorite was the ahi nachos. These are a must if you like ahi. Outdoor service with a great view of the mountains at sunset. The Mac and cheese was perfect and the burger was layered with goodness. The steak fries were great as well. Topped it off with a brownie that could have been its own entree. Such a great pleasant discovery. We will be back for sure. read more

Dined in at restaurant on October 14th for dinner. Service was good. That being said, the food was ice cold when served and we waited over an hour for our food. Complained to our waiter about it and he did what he could but told us if we wanted our food remade it would take another 30min. The kitchen is open so you can see the chefs and they have an embarrassing level of pride for their job. Watching them handle and cook all of the food made me concerned for the cleanliness and safety of my food, not that it mattered because we waited a ridiculous amount of time to even see it. I most likely will never find myself back at this restaurant in my lifetime, but if you are given the chance, I would not recommend coming here. I am hoping this review forces management to do something about the food there. Food tastes fine, service is nice, horrendous wait times and horrible cooking staff. read more

Great addition to Cliff Lodge. Haven't eaten at the restaurant yet - 3 times at the bar. Service could go up a tick. Food was good- burger, tuna nachos, and salad were all good. Opt for the wine and beer. The drinks a very conservative on the pours. Right now they have sleepy music guitar player going- and we all want to take a nap. Better if they played fun music and had Sunday football instead to make it fun. read more

Ohh bad food. The second star is only for our waitress. She was doing everything she could. I'll just say, the prices were steep for good food. Then, this ended up just being so gross. My boyfriend got the ribs. They were gummy, like a completely weird texture. The sauce was bland. The fries were cold and overly salted. I got the house salad with shrimp. The salad was wilted lettuce, about 2 small bits of tomato. The shrimp in the salad was awful. You know when if you microwave shrimp, it gets super tough and had to chew? Yeah, that was this. It had no seasoning, which is fine, but I couldn't chew it...I had to send the salad back for just a house salad. I mentioned the bad ingredients or lack of any ingredients. It came back with more tomatoes, same wilty lettuce, and a lot of onions. Thanks. So, no. I will not come back. read more

We came here to escape the heat in the valley and our experience was great overall! We didn't have a reservation but could make one there and the only disappointment was that we had to wait for about 50 minutes even though they had many open tables which stayed available the whole time, it could be that they didn't have enough waiters or kitchen staff. The views of our table was amazing, the service was great and fast and our food was ready in a timely manner. We all loved our food, I got the chicken cordon blue and really liked it and the sauce that came with it, my husband got one of their burgers which was prepared exactly the way he asked for, juicy but not pink which can be a bit hard to do. My toddler almost finished her pizza too. The only thing we didn't like was the soup that was cold and nothing special for the high price tag. read more
