    Corn Hash
    Ryan N.

I ordered the corn hash and was a little unsure because of the name, but it didn't seem to have any corn--and I really liked it. It came with bread and two eggs, which made it filling. We also tried their house sourdough pancakes, and they were surprisingly good--almost like a protein pancake The atmosphere is amazing. Driving up the canyon feels like stepping into a totally different place. I come about once a year, and it's always a great experience. Service was above and beyond- they even gave us a little tour after we ate.

We love avant- ski at silver fork. Great place to get a hearty breakfast with attentive fun staff and delicious food. We enjoy sitting by the crackling fire in winter, and the patio in summer so you can watch the hummingbirds flit about.

We were the first guests to stay in the newly renovated Silver Lodge, and it made for the perfect, relaxing staycation. Our room was cozy, the TV was large, and having a restaurant right downstairs (with breakfast included) was a great bonus. The location is also ideal, just minutes from the ski resorts, which helps you beat the traffic. For dinner, we tried the recommended bison burger and red pepper pasta. Both were good, but what we'd truly come back for is the breakfast. It was incredible-- steak and eggs, bananas foster French toast, and both regular and mint hot chocolate (the regular was our favorite). We'd definitely recommend staying here or stopping by for breakfast. The servers were friendly, and we even met the new owner, who was wonderful to talk to.

This is such a great brunch spot! So cozy and amazing service. I loved the service as well. Super attentive and homie feeling.

    Cosy interior!

a lot of history in this lodge! Silver Fork has a pretty view and good food! We had the tomato basil soup and it was delicious. all the plates that came out looked delish!! Beer on draft- Guiness-!Very clean and well kept as well!

Very warm and cozy. Staff was friendly the portions are big. He hot chocolate and the peppermint patty mocha hot drinks are amazing. We ordered a burrito that was almost as big as the plate that had more chicken than anything else. I had the Reuben and it was very good.

Great meal in a wonderful setting. The open face turkey and cranberry was really tasty and fit the mood of the changing leaves up Big Cottonwood Canyon.

We stopped by this place on a recommendation. When we arrived they were switching over to lunch and made us wait 20 minutes before seating us. Once we did get seated, we were outdoors and surrounded by nature. It was so beautiful and the little squirrel was entertaining. The service was really great except the server forgot a couple of things and had to be asked multiple times. The Bison burger was perfectly done and very filling. I actually gave half of it to someone else in my party. The sauces and cheese on the burger was a nice change to the standard burger but make sure you're willing to try something new if you haven't before. The golden beet salad was refreshing and huge, definitely shareable. It had sweet spicy walnuts with arugula and maple vinaigrette and the person in my party said "it was the best salad I ever had." We also shared the nachos which were made with blue corn chips, cheddar, beans and the cilantro lime creama was really good and a different take on the regular nachos. It came with a side of salsa that was also very good and fresh. I definitely recommend!

Sourdough cakes with blackberry Eggs Benedict Both delicious

Wait wasn't bad especially on a weekend where the weather was beautiful. The staff were very attentive despite juggling so many people we were so quickly inside, which was so beautiful. We are looking forward to next opportunity when we can sit on the patio. Breakfast feels like the best time to go. The famous cinnamon roll, spoke for itself. came as an appetizer It was absolutely delicious. Warm and fresh with some butter melted on top. Would recommend. The sourdough pancakes were divine. Always cool to try someone else's discard as a DIY baker myself. Ordering the side of berries was the move. Perfect summer fun time breakfast in the mountains.

I was standing in line at a post office, shipping a box home to Florida full of clay and glazes from my pottery conference & struck up a conversation with a local who told my to take this drive up the mountain and have lunch at the Silver Fork. It was Saturday and I was winging it- so I went! It was snowing up at Silver fork & the snow was piled high in front of the windows from the parking lot being cleared. Once inside I spotted the featured cocktails with a Hot Toddy listed right at the top- hmmmmmm- yes please. I ordered their meatloaf plate with real mashed potatoes and veggies and just had a great, comfort foodie, meal! The hot toddy was delicious and perfect! The meatloaf surprised me with gravy and tomato sauce! Everything was delicious. Service was stellar too and I saw other plates coming out of the kitchen- all huge portions! This lunch fed me for dinner too- there was a ton of food. I loved the outdoor patio too, even though the weather wasn't patio friendly- the views out back were lovely. I also loved the cozy cabin vibe including the furs draped over some of the dining room chairs. Attention to detail- I love that!

I cannot express how good this place is. It blew our minds! We did a last min booking to enjoy some of the ski resorts in the area and let me tell ya, this restaurant at this lodge is incredible! They offer free breakfast in the mornings as an overnight guest and the portions to the options are wonderful! We stayed in a two twin room and let me tell you, it's an old log cabin style. Nothing fancy but clean bathrooms, clean bedding and that is all we needed! The service is so friendly and warm, I'd hands down recommend staying here. I believe the overnight rates are extremely fair, we paid just under $200 a night. The UTA bus stops literally right in front of the lodge, takes about 5 min or less to get to Solitude without traffic! The bus gets to use a special drop off lane at the resort so it's VIP yo. I believe the bus came about every half hour or so! Super convenient, use it. The lodge bar has a fun $5 beer and shot deal, I mean it might not be top shelf but for $5....can't complain! I'm too old these days to take in this bargain. Lol. Enjoy my friends, hope you get to come and experience this lodge!!

This place is great! The food is so yummy and good, servers are very kind and the mountains and trees around are beautiful, my one problem is the amount of bugs like all around the deck, but that's Mother Nature for you, would definitely go again!

The lunch is good. But the breakfast is like serving jail time. I ordered an omelet and typically with an omelet, the veggies are inside. This just had a slab of egg on top of barely cooked veggies. It tasted really bad. My bf got something that looked like the cat got sick. Just a random assortment of slop. I'm really disappointed because lunch is memorable. They should serve both menus all day to prevent disappointment.

We met our guide Pam in the village at Solitude where she welcomed us and outfitted us with snowshoes and headlamps for the slightly moderate hike up the mountain to the Yurt. It was so refreshing to hike through the trees and the snow to our dining adventure. Once inside the Yurt chef Andy introduced himself and welcomed us with a glass of bubbles and explained our dining experience for this evening and the menu that he had planned. He was conscious to ask about any dietary restrictions or allergies. The majority of the menu is locally sourced and includes lots of farm to table elements. We started with a plate of fresh breads and cheeses from Beehive Creamery. Next we were served a fresh mixed green salad with a vinaigrette dressing. Then the soup was a potato leek soup with bacon which was so warm and comforting. The main course was a NY Strip Steak in a special cut served atop pureed cauliflower and asparagus. The flavor was amazing. To wrap up our meal we enjoyed some salted caramel ice cream. The only thing that was lacking is the beverage menu. Only water is offered as a beverage. There is a wine and beer list available with options by the glass or the bottle and all at moderate prices which is expected at a resort. They do permit you to bring your own bottle with a modest $35 corkage fee. With this experience being so magical and modestly priced it would be nice to have a few other beverage options "included" in the cost of the dinner. This is an entire dining experience with the snowshoe hike up the mountain, a chef curated meal inside the Yurt and the opportunity for communal dinning with some new folks. The prices for this meal are really the price for the experience. We were celebrating my birthday and what an amazing way to celebrate.

Finally a woman appeared and said she'd be with us shortly. She came back and when it asked if we could sit on the patio she told me it was closed because in the morning it had been cold. It was in the 70's at 2pm?! She sat us at a table next to a support beam and it felt very tight. Chairs were not very comfortable and the table was wobbly. It was very warm in the restaurant and very loud. We sat for 15-20 minute without a single person acknowledging us. I was about to get up and leave when finally a waitress came for our order. My husband enjoyed his Back 40 burger commenting on how juicy it was but expected more flavor. I ordered a Garden salad which was really good. Carrots were huge, tomatoes were yummy and like I said earlier the greens were so crisp and so fresh. My daughter had the chicken tenders and seriously the chicken was so tender and tasted fresh unlike grocery store chicken. The views are amazing!

For that price we were expecting a large dish with a wow factor, but it actually lacked flavor. For parents with children, I will also note that this is not a convenient place to come with small children. If you want to go to the restroom you need to leave the restaurant and go outside and across a hall to a more public restroom (it was clean), which is less than convenient with little kids. They don't have a kids menu either, it's just verbal, but they did have a few basic options (my kids had pasta).
