I want to start off by saying food is excellent and our host, Chloe, was very kind! We have been to seventy one many times over the years and always have great service and food. However, last week was different. We stayed the night at the cliff lodge and dined for breakfast. Our waitress, Natalie, was very unpleasant and left us waiting for quite a while. She seemed to be annoyed and very overwhelmed with her workload. When my husband tried to use his pass discount, she quickly dismissed him, even though we are used to that accommodation, which seemed unusual. It made us feel unwelcome and want to leave. Unfortunate, because we usually have an amazing time dining here with bright welcoming service. The food was great but unfortunately it was ruined by a grumpy waitress. read more

The servers were attentive and enthusiastic. The views can't be beat. But the food is lacking, especially for the price. My bison stroganoff had lemon seeds in it, which explains why all I could taste was acid. The crab rangoons were mostly cream cheese (see photo). read more

We went to Seventy One after a spa day. The restaurant has a cool vibe to it, but the fabric of the chairs are stained and kind of gross. We shared the cauliflower appetizer which was delicious! I got the chicken sandwich and it was kind of odd. Not sure the green goddess dressing works with the spices on the chicken and the bacon. The bottom bun got soggy pretty quickly and I ended up eating the chicken with a knife and fork. The potato wedges were unremarkable. Our service was fast and pleasant. read more

Seventy One restaurant is located in the Cliff Lodge hotel. The outdoor patio has an amazing view of the landscape while you're dining. My mother and I came here for dinner and we ordered the Southwest Chicken Wings and the Peruvian Burgers. The Southwest Chicken Wings were delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The Chicken Wings were sweet, tangy, and has a kick of spice. Additionally, they could have had been fried more in my opinion but they were packed with flavor. The burgers were delicious. It had a thick cut of Bacon, Arugula, house made Barbecue Sauce, White Cheddar, Fried Onions, and Jalapeño's. The burgers were a good grade of meat, tender, and flavorful. I've never had Barbecue Sauce on my burger before and I was not hating it. It brought a different type of flavor to the burger and the texture of the Fried Onions brought it all together. 3 stars for food, 4 for ambiance and 0 stars for the waitress and hostess. I loved the retro decor, it was like going back in time. The prime rib was a bit thin and dry but was ok. The fried chicken was mid, and the sides it came with were laughably terrible. The kids pizza was generous and large, the best dish of the evening. Our waitress was devoid of emotions and not present. My husband ordered a beer he didn't like, only took one sip and requested a different beer. But instead of asking him about the situation, she never took away the unwanted/undrank beer, and also charged us for it ($10+). We waited what felt like a lifetime for our check. The hostess had a similar attitude and never cracked a smile or engaged in any kind of friendly vibes while seating us. Would avoid spending time and money in here, should we be back at Snowbird/The Cliff Lodge. read more

Came here for my besties bday trip and we decided to do a spa day. Seventy one was one of the restaurant options they had on site and it was pretty good. The service was awesome. We had great conversation and he was very accommodating. Unfortunately they didn't have a blender to make any of the frozen drinks that were on the menu. But we made our own special kind of piña colada and it was delicious! The ambiance was nice. Beautiful view of the people skiing down the slopes. On to our meals. For an appetizer I ordered the vegan tomato soup. OMG this was absolutely amazing!! I could eat this everyday!! They included toasted herb bread on the side which paired perfectly. I ordered the ahi tuna nachos which were good but I couldn't eat too much of it. I actually don't think it sat well on my stomach later that day. But my besties both ordered pizzas. SeventyOne the on the lower floor of the Cliff lodge hotel and is the only restaurant open in the hotel during lunch time. The menu is identical to the room service menu so i'm pretty sure they make all the room service food as well. Over the week of staying there the Cliff Lodge, we probably ordered about 5 meals from SeventyOne. The poke nachos appetizer is good and filling. It's ahi poke on wonton chips with sauces, seaweed salad, edamame and other toppings. The poke bowl is almost the same subbing in white rice for the chips. 5/10 but I still ate it. I got the asian chicken salad one time which was a big mistake. It was some cold noodles with lettuce topped by what looked like a cut up chicken tender. They provided a small saucer of asian sesame dressing which was not enough. The salad was so bad 2/10. The margarita pizza was thin and had a nice crisp to it 9/10. My boyfriend enjoyed his burgers that he tried8/10. The fries that come with the burgers are great! We tried the chicken soup and french onion soup and both were pretty decent. French onion cheese pull was amazing but the soup itself was on the salty side. The veges in the chicken soup were undercooked but flavor was decent. this is one of the many restaurants located at the cliff lodge in snowbird we stopped by for lunch before heading to the spa and overall had a good lunch. we tried a couple of their apps, sandwiches and wood fire pizzas. overall i think this was a pretty decent restaurant for lunch. the ambiance was casual and the views were amazing! read more

Came back 5 years later and it just isn't what it used to be the service is mediocre now barely checking on the patrons because they don't have enough staff actually waiting tables. Our food was okay but not as good as when we came 5 years ago. I ordered a burger and they didn't ask how I wanted it cooked and it came out bright pink RARE I sent it back and they messed it up again because I asked for the sauce on the side. I just gave in at this point and ate it. I'm sad because this was our favorite spot on the mountain. It seems like this is par for the course at snowbird now. Since there are very few restaurants to choose from they have a chokehold on the people. Still probably one of the better restaurants price wise but expect to pay $20 minimum per item anywhere you go here. read more

We ate here twice during our stay, the first was the breakfast buffet and the second was regular dinner service. Service wise they are so accommodating, they made sure we sat right where we could enjoy the sun, the view, and the heaters when needed. The breakfast buffet was so good, worth the $28 for sure. The dinner was delicious and the portion sizes surprisingly good. The best part is the views and the vibes. The decor is so charming, and the little tv in the bathroom with the pure gold accents really rounds out the environment. read more

We grabbed lunch here after we had a massage at the Cliff Spa. We were seating quickly and service was great. The views were amazing and good people watching from the bar area facing the window. The decor was so fun and funky with cool snowbird pictures! Our meals were delicious. The thick cut fries were perfect and the burger had great taste. Was very filling. The Caesar salad was good but needs a bigger bowl for how much lettuce is in it + having to cut the lettuce down a little. The pretzel bites with the beer cheese was SOOO good. I could have had 2 more servings of these. Overall we'll be back whenever we're up there!! read more

We always sat at the bar of SeventyOne. It was quick and convenient with great food and affordable prices as far as ski pricing goes. The food was delicious, I had the bison stroganoff and it was delightful. Also their tuna nachos are fantastic. Highly recommend. the vibe of the place is fun, they play classic music that matches the 70's aesthetic. And the service was always friendly and prompt. We had a great experience at 71 while staying at Snowbird. They have a fun menu and the restaurant has a general nostalgic feel. It's cool to see the history of Snowbird. We had a huge group and our server was great. The food and drinks were a bit slow but I think they were short staffed. Everything tasted delicious. Everyone in our group liked their food. The ahi tuna nachos and cauliflower starters were flavorful and filling. I got the portobello burger for my meal, it was fantastic! Didn't miss the meat at all. The pesto made it delicious. This way maybe the most "Mid" of places I have eaten ever. I went in with incredibly low expectations as my spouse had eaten their before and gotten moldy, subpar food that must have been at the back of the Sysco delivery truck. I ordered the Baldy burger which despite having I am sure several times over my daily recommended amount of sodium tasted like nothing. The bottom bun was also somehow 1/2 soaked and non existent (just a pile of goo) from some kind of residue of grease, and the other half was bone dry. Perplexing. The way I can describe it is it tasted like nothing. When the manager came to ask why I did not enjoy my food I had nothing to say beyond it was bland and bad, I didn't want a comped check or anything too, it was just bad. Still tipped 20 percent because I am not an asshole and not gonna punish the server for Snowbird serving terrible food. My daughter just got chicken tenders and fries, and I will note we both waited 50 minutes for this food on a not super crowded night and her comment on the chicken was "why does this not taste like chicken?". This is an 8 year old as well, she is pretty well versed in terrible chicken tenders like the dino nuggies I give her when mom is out of town and im throwing those and broccoli in an air fryer. This is just bottom of the barrel Sysco brand tenders and man, it tasted barely like breading. I'd advise just don't go here unless your desperate like we were. I knew what I was getting into, I knew this place was just not good. But despite my just absolute rock bottom expectations, my disappointment was immeasurable and my night ruined. I blame none of this on the cooks or staff though, they are trying their best but you can only do so much when your food quality is somewhere between what they feed prisoners, and well i don't know who we even treat worse? read more

Had french onion soup and the flatbread on this go round. For some reason there were little bits of black burntness floating around the soup which made it crunchy . I had remembered the soup in the past being delicious but this time I don't think I get it again. The flatbread was tasty but for 20 bucks it was outrageously overpriced. It was just enough to take the edge off our appetites but not enough to be filling. We had stopped in for a ski because the canyon road was shut down and we had no other place to go and we're starving. Despite seeing more servers in the restaurant than guests we still had to flag people down for water, beer, and our order. The servers were very nice but yet we couldn't understand what took so long. We did hear that a lot of employees could not get up the canyon to work so maybe these people were pulled in from housekeeping and didn't really know how to work in a restaurant? It's a shame that Snowbird doesn't have a place for people to chill while they are blocked from going home. The tram club at the plaza isn't convenient because there's no parking. We probably would have gone up to the Alta Peruvian if the path wasn't blocked in that direction as well. read more

I fished it out and placed it on the side to make it look better. I was also hoping that my glass would have some sugar/salt rim, a fruit peel hanging on the side, something that screams $13.50 or Seventy One. We sat on the lower level to be close to the window and the server seemed to forget about us since she never came back. We had to ask our server for a check and left. We went with a bunch of girlfriends during dinner. It was not busy at the time we went. Service was a bit slow, we ordered mainly small plates and tried one entree. The cauliflower had good flavor but was a bit overwhelming. The nacho was different, it was wonton chips with ahi tuna. There was way more chips than toppings and in the end we were mainly only eating chips. The margarita flatbread was good and was crispy, so I would recommend this one. My friend and I got the chicken club yesterday for lunch and for whatever reason our order took way longer than for the rest of our group. Well, I ended up getting food poisoning and now I'm wondering if the chicken was undercooked or went bad. The waitress had also told us they were getting ready to start a new menu the next day and "trying to get rid of everything" they have. It was awful. Really cool spot in terms of decor, location and views. However the food left a lot to be desired. The ahi tuna nachos seem to be one of their most popular items, but fell short in terms of value and taste. There was almost no tuna on our giant dish of fried wontons. The salad portions were gigantic, almost unnecessarily large (and it was like this at every restaurant in the hotel), but didn't have much in the form of veggies, it was just like a giant bag of spring mix. Had the best time coming here during our staycation up at snowbird! We made the reservation ahead of time and I would highly recommend doing that because this is a popular spot up there. Loved the energy, retro design, and (of course) the food. We had the warm spinach & artichoke dip appetizer (highly recommended), bbq chicken flatbread and margarita flatbread (both delicious), and classic mac n cheese (sooo good). Others in my party got baked french onion soup (both loved it), and house salad (wasn't impressed. pretty basic). The concierge told us to go to this place and we thoroughly enjoyed the service, food and drinks.
