At lunchtime on a Friday in June, the service here was brisk and friendly. It only took a few minutes for the staff to seat our party of ten. The ambience was cozy and the food was delicious; except for a mediocre corn dog, our ratings ranged from very good to "amazing." The chicken strips and the patty melt were very good. I thought the regular fries were very good, but the younger kids didn't care for the seasoning. The sweet potato fries were excellent. My six-napkin black and blue burger was very good but a bit too messy for my taste. Next time, I would just get a plain burger so I could fully enjoy the juicy, flavorful patty, which was cooked to a perfect medium (pink in the middle.) The highlight of the meal was my daughter's amazing pulled pork nachos. We agreed it was the best pulled pork we'd ever eaten--tender and moist, with a nice smoky flavor. The barbecue sour cream sauce was yummy, light, creamy, and mildly spicy. Daughter and husband enjoyed the house-made pickled jalapeños, which had a spicy sweet-and-sour flavor. The nachos were enough to feed two people as an entree, more as an appetizer. All the portion sizes were generous. For dessert, we ordered a slice of carrot cake to go. Again, we all agreed that it was the best ever--moist and flavorful but not too heavy, with a light frosting the consistency of whipped cream. It was a refreshing change from the usual gooey, ultra sweet concoctions. We also tried the German chocolate cake. It was too rich for me, but if you're looking for a major chocolate fix, that'll do it. The rustic decor is as charming and cozy as ever, and the grandkids loved browsing in the gift shop. Snowmobiling at Daniels Summit Lodge is one of the trip's highlights. And after snowmobiling we had a great lunch at Lodge Pole Cafe. Delicious cheese steak sandwich with a salad instead of fries. My husband had a cup of chicken noodle soup with a grilled cheese. The soup came with a homemade wheat roll. The noodles were the thick home style noodles. The service was just right. They were busy but had time to attend to each table. Our food was hot. The place was clean. Loved being able to watch the canyon from the large windows. When we left, we grabbed a candy bar and made a pass through the darling boutique. read more

I stopped here after fishing Strawberry. It was busy but the food was pretty good. I liked the frozen mugs that drinks came in to keep things nice and cold. This is not the same lodge pole grill that you remember and have read previous reviews on. It is now a to go sandwich shop with sad sandwiches, flavorless fries and a whole lot of disappointment. This place used to be a huge reason we stayed at daniel summit lodge, but it was nothing more than ordinary. 10/10 suggest driving down to heber for food instead. read more

Ugh, I'll make this long - and believe me I hate to leave reviews like this as is evidenced by my other reviews. I love giving people the benefit of the doubt but these guys have completely compromised the QUALITY of both the menu and the staff. I paid nearly $30.00 for a prime rib that looked like a gray, sad, old..something. Horrible! It was tough, flavorless and a out 1/2 inch thick! Keep in mind, this 10 ounce piece of garbage cost me nearly 30 bucks! My wife ordered the ribeye - it was gristly and fibrous - like the meat of an old cow - no joke. The next night, we ordered the short ribs. 80% fat. I would swear on my son's grave they're using frozen vacuum packed meat from a meat slinger outfit. NONE of this crap was the real deal including the sides. Look, this was the worst food we've ever had - no lie! And we're not complicated people or snooty brats. Trust us, it's not our goal to bitch and moan about things. The purpose for this review is to somehow wake up the ownership of this place because it's gone downhill in a major way. Now, the staff. I'm going to reference one particular gal that was serving us on "prime rib night". She had 50 times more interest in a table of young workers than she did with....everyone else. Now use your imagination in regards with how frustrating that would be. In short, we were there for almost an hour longer than we wanted to be. The reason I'm calling out all staff here is because all of the other employees - bussers, servers, etc. saw this behavior and brushed it off as if it were not something talked about. This is a major indication that no one gives a shit. The staff culture at this joint sucks big-time. The last time we visited this place was 10 or so years back. It was soooooo much different. Don't be mistaken, you will be disappointed at Lodge Pole Grill. The food is extremely average. We had the cheese dip to start and it was just so so. The dinner menu has been the same for years with no innovation. The ribs were average, but just covered with BBQ, too cover how poorly they were cooked. We've been here several times and it never gets better though we keep hoping. You are far better off finding a place in Heber city than stopping here. read more

So, the service here is a bit slow. And yet i'm giving it 5 stars. It's because the staff is so friendly and the food is so good that it just doesn't matter that it takes a little while. My wife and her friend swear by the southern chicken salad and I have had both the Philly and the Summit Burger. Both were excellent selections. I absolutely LOVE this place. Basic fast food. We had the Bacon Cheesburger and it was average. My wife had the chicken strip and liked them alot

No service, rude staff and GROSS food. We paid 70.00 for what could be called Bad gas station food. Our 12.00 salads had old Romaine lettuce that was red. Red lettuce is old lettuce. And the actual salad itself was not worth the price AT ALL. We had no servers, we had to take care of ourselves, the food was super late coming out, it was served in foam take out containers and plastic utensils. When we asked where the restroom was, an older lady told us it was in the gift shop. we walked over to the bathroom and it had a big sign that said it was closed because of covid. So I asked her again where did you say the restrooms was? and she very rudely told me the same place again. I said the sign said it's closed. And she said very rudely and super irritated ' "well, not for restaurant patrons" there was no sign anywhere that said restaurant patrons could use it. So how would we have known? So if you want to spend a lot of money, for old, gross food, have crappy service or basically just take care of yourself, then this is the place to go. read more

The food was delicious! I had the prime rib and it was excellent. The meat was very tasty and tasted almost like it was farm raised. Not sure on that.. My wife had the Mountain Alfredo and I was very impressed. Everything seems homeade and fresh! Even my kids macaroni and cheese was delicious! I recommend taking a drive up to Daniels Summit and come to the restaraunt! It's a great alternative to Park City!! read more

I have been going here since before I can remember, it used to be AMAZING!!! Best food always, but I went there yesterday and was severely disappointed.....they have obviously had some cut backs on budgets and no one seemed to be happy there....they forgot our drink 3 separate times......also the chile verde was off.
