Finally made the stop here with my boyfriend last Friday. The parking lot is a bit wonky but the inside is full of charm, complete with a train horn. There's a good amount of seating too for how small the building. We asked what we should order since it was our first time and the server recommended the Steak & Everything as a combo. A sandwich, fries and a drink for $10. I thought it was appropriately priced and worth it to upgrade. We liked the flavors, but wished there was more cheese and less bread. The fries were crisp but needed salt. Luckily the fry sauce was free flowing. Our server was kind and friendly. Only got the steak and everything sandwich, no fries. They said this sandwich was probably the most popular menu item. I don't know why. Everything was super dry, steak not tender, veggies undercooked yet limp and sad, and bread that tastes like it came from the day old rack of a cheap commercial bakery in a 3rd world country. The only way I knew there was cheese on it was because the steak slightly stuck to the bread on top, but I couldn't actually see any provolone cheese. No flavor besides a hint of garlic smell. Hands down the worst philly steak I've ever had. I wouldn't eat it again if it was free. Maybe their burgers and fries are better, but my first impression makes me never want to go back and try. Nice enough people, but not the most inviting atmosphere. Kinda screams old, broken, and questionably clean. Maybe they just a bad day there, but I was having a good day until I ate that sandwich. This was a very nice little place and very inviting. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had smiles and answered questions the best they could about what is the most popular dishes. The fries were pretty tasty and well seasoned. The fry sauce was also pretty good too but it is just as you might expect fry sauce to taste. However, the onion rings are much better I think. Nice and crispy and flavorful. The Malibu chicken sandwich was tasty and filling as well. The chicken patty was juicy but it is a patty type thing instead of a piece of chicken breast. I did think the sandwich was good for the price but I think a bit more ranch could make it taste better. read more

Not much to look at but this place is so good. Service is excellent. They serve you at your table. Food is always spot on. Best English chips anywhere. Cooked perfect and served with cold fry sauce. Steak and everything is served on a sturdy bun that holds the meat and sautéed vegetables perfect. Maybe a tish bready. Love the ham and cheese. Not a fan of the cherry fresh lime. I'm a fan, and I'll tell you why. #1, the price you pay and the amount of food you get, is right on. Few places get that right. #2, the fries are good. Good fries are important, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. #3, the philly was good, it had GREAT bread, the meat was tender, the veggies were perfect. It was a great cheese steak. #4, the service was quick and friendly. Overall a great place and I'll be back, the only issue we had was the lemonade was a little weak, but that's an easy fix. Not too many cheese steak places around here, so give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Absolutely the best steak sandwich in Utah County. If you're familiar with Places for Italian sandwiches that used to be in Provo and Orem since the mid-70's the Steak & Everything is exactly the same. My guess is that the owner of Steak Express has ties to that other Place for Italian sandwiches. I highly recommend it. read more

I got a combo with the first entree and let me tell you, it hit the spot! The fries are on point, the Steak and Everything Philly Cheesesteak too, and all at a great price for what you get. There's a 10% discount if you are a plasma donor and the prices already INCLUDE the tax, so you know EXACTLY how much you're gonna pay. We ate here tonight and it was very yummy! Let me first start by their cleanliness was great, All workers were wearing masks and very friendly. All the tables were clean and saw them disinfect tables after each customer left. So, they're definitely on top of covid standards! Now onto food, I got a steak sandwich and onion rings! The steak was tender and juicy and the onion rings were sooo good. The rest of my family loved their meals as well. We sat in their outdoor seating and were given awesome service. first let me say that the food is good (that's why they have two stars). The reason it wasn't five is because they are very inexperienced. It is a brand new restaurant and they have a lot of kinks to work out. Long wait time, teenage staff is awkward and uncomfortable but I'm sure they'll fix all that with time and experience. read more

Couple suggestions for them (since I'm that kinda person-haha).. maybe update your menu on line, b/c the one menu I could find was hard to read and the pricing was a little different. Also maybe think about angling your signs so people can see you when they're driving both up and down 9th East b/c it's hard to see you there- unless you happen to look over at just the right time. I hate to give poor reviews to locally owned small businesses, especially new businesses but I was really disappointed in my meal today. I got a Steak and everything for my Dad and a French Dip sandwich for me. The bread on both sandwiches was dry, it was so dry it was flaking apart. The Au Jus sauce was cold, not Luke warm but cold. The steak and everything had hardly any steak on it and was mostly mushrooms. The French Dip had hardly any steak either and no flavor at all. To top it off the rep put the Au Jus sauce in the bag on its side which meant it leaked all over. I kept the bag in the same position as she handed it to me. By the time I noticed it I had a mess in my car. The prices are very inexpensive but the food was not good. I'm going to have to stick to Jersey Mikes. I had high hopes for this place but the first impression was poor. read more
