We had ended our day on the slopes and wanted a fat, juicy burger, and this place hit the spot! The staff were really nice, funny, and attentive. We ate rather quickly when the food got delivered, so that tells you how hungry we were. I was able to swap out the fries for salad and it was the perfect substitution for me. No additional charge either! Would recommend on coming here for a nice meal. The interior has a tavern feel to it and lots of window seating, so it was nice to look outside while we waited for our food.

Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. We ordered a bison burger with fries, pulled pork poutine, and blue corn nachos. The fries were limp and cold. The nachos arrived with regular corn chips instead of blue corn and were also cold. The pulled pork poutine was cold as well, and the burger was overly salty. What made the experience worse was the lack of service. We waited about 30 minutes without being checked on while the manager appeared to visit other tables. After flagging down a server, it took additional time before we were assisted. I understand that restaurants can have off nights, but this visit fell well below expectations -- especially given the price point and past experiences. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the location and atmosphere have always been a draw.

However, additional details create a loving connection - it's off-Broadway central location, the copper-paneled ceiling that mimics warm conversations in varied spaces (cocktail, chef's counter, expandable tables for groups, and outdoor), fresh, locally-sourced ingredients with service to match. It's the place where I had my first glass of Turley Zinfandel (education alongside), and the place I will always return for my favorite Wagyu Beef Stroganoff (a comfort from home, but upscale). This one delivered with large, firm, expertly seasoned portobello & forest mushrooms over wide, freshly handmade pappardelle pasta that soaks up rich beef stock (a touch of black pepper) blended with crème fraîche. A generous portion of wagyu is tender and rich. PRO TIP: Mix then let it sit & marinade a minute - flavor pays in dividends. For dessert, a Valhrona Chocolate Pudding topped with whip cream and Maldon flake salt - exquisite, but expensive. The texture is comforting and delicious - olive oil adds a lingering finish with slight fruit.

Host name is Carleigh…read more We had a reservation for 8:00 PM and arrived around 7:50 PM. When we checked in, the host, Carleigh, immediately told us it would be a 20-30 minute wait. I informed her that we had a reservation under my name, John, but she simply looked at her list, seemed annoyed, and told us to wait anyway. While we were waiting, we watched several parties of two arrive after us with reservations at 8:10, 8:15, and even 8:20, and they were seated before us. After waiting about 20 minutes, I went back to ask how much longer it would be. I was told it would be another 20 minutes. I reminded Carleigh that we had a reservation, and her response was, "Oh, you did?" She then asked for my full name and phone number, looked up the reservation, apologized, and immediately escorted us to a table that appeared to have been ready the entire time. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Reservations are made so guests don't have to wait behind people who arrive later. It felt like our reservation had been completely ignored until I spoke up a second time. Whether this was poor organization or a lack of attention, the level of service at the front desk was unacceptable. We came looking forward to a nice family dinner, but the experience started with unnecessary frustration and left a very poor first impression. I sincerely hope additional training is provided so this doesn't happen to other guests.

Amazing little farm to table restaurant serving artisanal dishes in a charming space…read more Went with the Lamb Crepinette which I was a little worried to order as lamb can be fatty. But wow, this dish was out of this world. Braised lamb is then crisped on a grill, served over a bed of roasted vegetables with a crème sauce. One of the best things I've ever eaten. Also ordered the sourdough, again so good - crunchy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. Started with a martini (they have my favorite - Belvedere, A+ for that) which was perfect, and a glass of wine which I enjoyed. For dessert we loved the Olive oil cake. The dark chocolate terrine got mixed reviews, but most of us don't like hazelnut so wrong thing to order. Waiter was nice. When is SLC this is a must!

So really looking for guidance, I asked the server for vegetarian recommendations and then she came back that they had just gotten some lion's mane mushroom in and the chef could create a dish just for me also including rice and peppers. In fact, we saw him walk by our table with his hands full of said ingredients. I love that the feature local and seasonal ingredients and really showed off their scratch made capabilities by creating a unique dish on the fly. My favorite item was the mushroom toast!
