We stayed in room 1695, which is an Executive Suite with an entry foyer, living room, bedroom, large closet/storage space, expansive bath with nice tub and separate shower. There was also a second sink area outside of the bathroom, which made it very easy for our family of 4 to get ready. The finishes and details of the entire room were exquisite and very nicely thought out. It felt luxurious! I visited the spa one afternoon for a pedicure with Madison. It was an incredible experience! After my appointment, I took a shower in the 17-head shower room and it was SUBLIME. The mandarin shampoo and conditioner in the shower felt silky and smelled amazing - my hair felt so nice that I came back the next day to purchase the shampoo to take home. My kids loved the pools - it felt fun to them that there were two. I thought the indoor pool was nicer and had a really spa-like ambiance with beautiful glass chandeliers and luxurious loungers. The outdoor pool area just didn't seem as special as I was expecting for a hotel like this, but was still great. I appreciated that they had a 1' toddler pool tucked off to the side. Very nice showers - individual shower stalls with shampoo and body wash. The pool menu for food and bar was perfect! Ordered a delish salad and a fun summer cocktail. Poolside service from Ethan was surly and inattentive, but the food was something I would order again which made up for it. A highlight that we'll always remember from our stay is breakfast at Laurel. We started 3 of our 4 mornings here and it was an absolute treat. Servers Rob and Tatiana were stars. All 4 of us agreed that the food was phenomenal and I appreciated that they offer veggie breakfast meat options. Every detail in the service was elevated and just a great experience. (We walked across the street to The Coffee Shop at Little America for breakfast the 4th morning and it was also a wonderful experience! Coffee Shop is a misnomer, as it is a comfortable sit down restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.) Jou Jou, the toy and candy shop off the lobby is CHARMING! It's a destination for anyone, not just hotel guests. We spent a lot of time (and money) poking around here. Really nice brands, unique toys, fun puzzles and games, amazing dress up things, tons of Jellycat! Everyone we encountered working there was friendly and engaging. My kids also loved watching the marble track in the window outside the store. The only aspects of our room that I didn't think were up to The Grand America snuff were the beds and bedding. I didn't find them to be super comfortable, the pillows were very thin and I thought the duvets seemed to be for a bed a size smaller. Despite this, I still give the overall stay 5 stars. Originally I booked a king room and called prior to visiting and the front desk staff helped to change our room to a double queen. The room was located on a high floor with a beautiful Mountain View. We were impressed with the room size and the bathroom set up that allowed two of us to get ready at the same time without having to share a space. During our stay we visited the pools (indoor and outdoor) and were lucky enough to get a seat outdoors. We were told it can take up to 2 hours to get seats. Luck was on our side. While out there we ordered virgin daiquiris and some fries (our usual snack of choice on vacay). The indoor pool was virtually empty and very relaxing as the outdoor pool had every seat taken on a hot summer day. After the pool we grabbed some ice cream at the hotel shop and later that evening returned for dessert at the restaurant. All of the desserts we had that day were just so tasty and would recommend the bread pudding and creme brulee.

The spacious living room helped us to spread out, as snowboarding requires a lot of equipment and gear to be used. There is also a fireplace to help warm any wet socks, gloves or shoes. Pros: -Cost (great price) -Location (about a 10min walk away from the closest ski lift) -Spacious bedroom and living room -Kitchen -Fireplace Cons (slight): -The bathrooms are not the most updated ones you'll use, but they get the job done. -When using the kitchen, the steak knives weren't straight - they had curved edges which simply needs replacing. -There is a faint musty carpet smell that you'll encounter as soon as you walk in. If these cons are as minor to you as they were to me, then the other benefits of the place (listed above) really outweigh the slight cons in my opinion. Also breakfast is provided but for a fee. If you plan to gather groceries beforehand then this is also a minor setback. The lobby looks recently renovated which is great to walk into. They give you a parking pass which grants you a parking spot right outside. There is also a downstairs entrance door for quicker access to the rooms. All in all, this is a stay where you'll get a great bang for your buck. I've recommended this place to others and will likely stay here again when we come back.

Our stay here was amazing!…read more My in-laws booked this hotel over Thanksgiving partly because of how neat it looked in the movie Falling for Christmas, and we were not disappointed. Our suite was absolutely lovely and incredibly spacious. We enjoyed the facilities we used, including the infinity hot tub. On Thanksgiving Day, a member of the staff gave us some leftover cookies from someone else's room service order. And after our meal, a cleaning crew came in (and literally started picking up the mess under our baby's high chair). We did have a few snafus during our stay. We couldn't figure out how to warm up one of the rooms on the first night, and our baby didn't sleep very well in the cold. And early on Friday morning, the valets lost the keys to one of our cars, making a member of the party unable to get to their work shift. But the rest of the stay was so nice that I decided not to deduct any stars.

The surroundings of the Inn are amazing.. it couldn't be set in a more majestic location! Upon my arrival, I was greeted at the car by a doorman/bellman who assisted me with my luggage & introduced me to the front desk agent. The FDA checked me in, and noted that my room was not yet ready. I had arrived around 1:00p, so I wasn't surprised by this. I was told that the room would be ready in 30-40 minutes, as housekeeping was just finishing their inspection. No problem, I walked up to The Kits to grab a quick lunch. (I wrote a separate Yelp review of that encounter) Upon finishing lunch, I meandered around the Inn to gain my bearings. One thing I noticed was a general untidiness of the public spaces. Crumbs on the floors & soft furniture, stains on most of the furniture (sofas, chairs, table tops, etc), accessories disheveled (accent pillows, coffee table books, side tables).. overlooked details which I just didn't expect from a property of this caliber. Around 3:00p, I approached the Front Desk, and inquired about the readiness of my room. I was told that it still wasn't ready, but it should only be a little bit longer. Approximately 3:20p - I was given the keys to my room. Up until this point, I would have rated the Goldener Hirsch Inn a solid 2.5-3 stars. I was completely underwhelmed with the experience. Upon entering my assigned "room" - I was completely blown away! I use the term "room" loosely, as my living quarters were more like a palace! I was assigned a Residence in the new part of the Inn. It was a (2) Bedroom, (2.5) Bathroom, Full Kitchen (complete with Wolf Appliances), Full Laundry Room - unit that was pristine! The Master Bath even included a Steam Shower.. which is much appreciated in the dry air of Park City. Everything was in its place, and the room(s) were spotless. The only criticisms I have are.. - The HVAC would not let me dial anything cooler than 72° F - None of the windows in the bedrooms open Both of these details led to a restless night's sleep, as I prefer a cool room to sleep in. The Rating I would give the Room Product is an easy 5-stars. It is by far, one the most finely appointed Hotel Rooms I have ever stayed. So, upon combining the two very distinctly different experiences.. I have settled on an overall rating of 4-stars.

Be warned, the wifi is not free, which boggles my mind given that even cheap hotels have free wifi. Because we needed to work during our stay, wifi was important. We had a lot of trouble getting it set up, even though we followed the instructions. The 3d-party 24-hour help desk was not responsive. When we were finally able to get connected, we were told it was going to cost almost twice as much as WorldMark said it would be. When we asked the front desk about that, they said we would be charged the lower amount. Long story short, they didn't honor that and their friendliness suddenly evaporated when we asked about it.

This resort was located in a very nice and quiet area. Whether you're planning to use the kitchen or not, restaurants and stores are just a short drive away. Check-in was quick and the staff at the front desk was nice and friendly. Parking was underground and the spaces were kind of tight, so it was nice to be driving a compact car. The unit that I was assigned was very spacious and I found everything to be clean. It was definitely more than adequate for a short weekend getaway!

Recently, I…read morestumbled across the Park City Hostel and it had a room available when I was in town for another engagement. My partner and I excitedly embarked on our journey and entered with an open mind. They have shared rooms with bunkbeds, or for a little bit more money, you can get a private room. This is what we did. There are still shared bathrooms and showers, however. There's also a large community room with games, books, pool tables and several seating areas. This was my favorite part-people from all walks of life coming together to share a space, exchange stories or just be in each others' presence. I felt comfortable and safe during my stay and my only regret is that we didn't have more time to stay and get to now more people. But I look forward to returning and making more memories here.

I've been going here since I was a kid and I've loved it so much. The saloon was recently closed…read moreoff to anyone not staying in the lodge, which was such a disappointment. I was really excited to show my friends who traveled from out of state the saloon because I've so many memories there from over the years. In general, Alta has become much less accessible. They now *require* paid parking, which made the trip more disappointing (another new thing). Not only did I pay for parking, we got kicked out of the saloon after being there and paying for food. Nobody else in the saloon was confronted and a lot of people there were not guests. It felt weird that we were the only ones getting asked to leave. Additionally, they no longer allow refills for fountain drinks and also removed mountain collective/ikon pas discounts when buying food. The entire resort is behind a pay wall. The Alta magic is dead.
