I should've reacted to my first impulse when I walked in. Leave! Now! The booming, loud and annoying music was almost unbearable. I stayed and ordered the #3 lunch combination. It was bland, and the whole tostada--with guacamole, lettuce and chopped tomatoes--was slathered in something sweet and weird. I just pushed it aside. Excellent crispy taco shell, but the carne molida was dry, overcooked and disappointing. The cheese enchilada was awful. Wrong cheese. I prefer (correct) American, not cheddar. But it was good quality cheddar and not that stringy, bubble gum consistency stuff I run into occasionally. There was only a trace of what I assumed was supposed to be the chili con carne gravy (per the menu) so I requested more gravy which was thin, bland and somewhat tomato tasting, not chili con carne sauce. Serranos is a Tex-Mex restaurant that mainly serves Mexican food, but also food like chicken fingers and burgers. From my experience I walked in, got greeted, and was immediately asked if I'd like a table or a booth. Within a minute I got to order my drink and got my chips and salsa. Once I placed my order I took the time to see the atmosphere of metal stars with designs in them to let the light shine through, there are many interesting paintings, and what catches your eye the most is the warrior like masks in the front of the kitchen. After a couple glasses of water I had to excuse myself to the restroom and noticed there was no toilet paper or paper towels on the floor. I went up to the sink and leaned over the counter to notice my stomach was getting wet because the counter had puddles of splashed water. I was quite upset but the restroom for the most part was sanitary. Fifteen minutes after I ordered my food was presented to me and looked very appetizing. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce and for the side refried beans and rice. There was a serrano on the side of my dish as if it was a signature mark for their restaurant. My enchiladas were very clean and not sloppy looking, and the beans had white cheese in the middle that was slowly melting since the beans were so hot. I grabbed my silverware and noticed there were no stains or any residue left from who used the silverware before me. My beans were cooling down, I cut off a small portion of my enchilada and when I took my first bite I tasted the juicy chicken mixed with the kick of verde sauce. My beans finally cooled down, I used it as a dip for my chips and found that refried beans taste better than their queso as a dip. I'm not going to say much about the rice because rice can only have so much taste to it. Once I got my check I paid around twelve dollars including the tip. read more

The food at Serano's was not the best i have had. I got the cheese enchiladas and let me tell you, as i bit into it, the sauce was not pleasing and the cheese was still a little cold. Guessing it was not cooked all the way through. The rice on the side was very hard and chewy, the beans were refried, how i like it and they were decent enough. I would have to say that this tex-mex food was not suitable for the ethnic group. The service was actually quite good, my waiter communicated with me, and made eye contact most of the time. From the moment i walked into the door, i was greeted with kindness. Although there were a few waiters that would just stand around and watch us as we ate, making me feel a bit uncomfortable. The atmosphere of this restaurant was unique, it had painted pictures of hispanic woman, it had lights on the walls, and the walls were all painted different colors making it a very unique and colorful room. The atmosphere seemed stuffy although. It was humid from the cooking in the back, but overall a cool atmosphere. The price of the food was a little much for what it tasted. I felt as if they put a little more into the food it could be for that price. The cleanliness of the restaurant was not so clean. The floors were dusty and covered with food, i felt they did not put much time into cleaning there. When i went to the bathroom, the sink was covered with water, the stalls had toilet paper on the ground, even though it smelled good, i felt grubby when i was in there. read more

The food here is pretty good, but I had a major problem come up at this place. I eat by myself a lot. I got up at one point to go to the bathroom and I told my waiter that I was just going to the bathroom and not to throw my food out. I had barely started eating. I got back out and the table was clean and a new group was sitting in my spot. I stood there in shock and the waiter handed me my check. I told him I wasn't finished and he said it looked like you were done. I was eating an 8 piece quesadilla and had only eaten one of the 8 pieces. He looked in the pile of dirty dishes and saw that I was telling the truth. I asked to speak to a manager and the he just told me they could give me something to go. I replied with "I came to a restaurant so I could eat here, rather than taking it to go while I run my errands." He then handed me the check again and I just turned and walked out. There was no way I was paying for food that I didn't even get to eat. I have eaten here many other time and the food is generally very good, but it seems like the service is completely unorganized read more

I'm so glad I did because the food was absolutely delicious! I ordered a couple of breakfast tacos with bacon, egg, and cheese, and added beans based on my coworker's recommendation. I had never thought to add beans to a breakfast taco before, but let me tell you, it was an amazing combination! Now, here's a little insider tip that you definitely need to know: Ask for the homemade corn tortillas! They're so much better than the regular corn tortillas, and they're absolutely worth requesting. I'm normally not even a fan of corn tortillas, but these completely won me over. They were THAT good! The service was excellent and quick, which is especially nice when you're grabbing breakfast before work. The restaurant itself is colorful, vibrant, and welcoming, with plenty of seating if you'd rather sit down and enjoy your meal. Overall, this was a fantastic first visit! Great food, friendly service, and those homemade corn tortillas are reason enough to come back. I'll definitely be returning, and next time, I'm ordering those tortillas without hesitation!

OK somebody help me here because I don't understand the 3.5 stars?…read more I rarely go to tractor supply but every time I do I smell this amazing chicken restaurant next-door today I planned to go hungry when I went shopping so I could finally stop in. I must've gotten there right after they opened because they were still setting up and very busy, however there was already a line for the drive-through and everyone inside was nice it wasn't like they were busy and I was bothering them. I ordered the chicken taco plate $11. It was delicious it came with beans and rice, the beans were a little runny but I just mixed the rice in there and of course everything that fell out of my chicken tacos while I was eating them. Chicken tacos are served with half a lime I was shocked and this really good green salsa. The lime is a must though, it really brightened the flavor of the tacos! The chicken tacos I thought were amazing I only wished they had a little more lettuce in them because I like the crunch. There's plenty of parking out front and as I mentioned there is also a drive-through if you just want to take it home. The only thing I don't like about this restaurant is the location. Which is the same reason I very rarely go to tractor supply that section of Bell Road is very difficult if you are turning left when you exit. But today I planned it. I stopped at tractor supply and then went straight for tacos and then turned right to go to Lowe's. Which made it easy breezy.

I just had to stop in and try it, I had to get the chicken as that is in the name of the restaurant so it must be good. I got the half chicken meal with two sides and it was just like it smelled. Got plenty of corn tortillas with it along with dipping sauces. The red sauce is extremely mild, almost no heat at all, but taste good. The green sauce has a small amount of heat to it and is great. This is a small fast food restaurant you walk up and order. they call your name or number you go get it. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. My wife got the tostadas, which she absolutely enjoyed. My daughter got the torta. I was able to sample each of their dishes and I must say everything was good. Oh I am definitely coming back.!!!

I kept my order pretty simple with just a couple of breakfast tacos, and a glass of orange juice which was much larger than I expected. I like the fact that it came with a small fresh carafe of salsa and green sauce. There's well over a dozen tables to sit at and cajunto music playing overhead. They do offer DoorDash, but it's always best to dine in. My 2 tacos and very large orange juice with tax came out to nine dollars. You just can't beat that deal which earns them five stars.
