The Salon itself is very modern, looks nice, pedicure chairs are very comfy, they offer you tea or water. But --- the technician I had for a mani pedi did not do a good job. In fact, she nicked the cuticle on my hand and drew blood !! Also, my big toe was pumiced to the point where the skin was rubbed off too deep and it was sore for 3-4 days when I walked on it. You don't know while it is happening that it is too much, or else I would have stopped her. A few days later, I discovered that she only filed the middle of my toe nails. She did not file all the way to the edges of the nails. The sides of the nails were a little raggy, and they started to catch on my socks. Unfortunately, I do not remember the technician's name, but she was not new. She said she has been a nail technician for many years, so there is no excuse for this poor work. read more

Went for my first time today after a friend recommended serenity spa. First impressions were great. The spa is clean, set up is nice and comfortable (also somewhat private), and staff is very kind. I had a pedi and mani which both turned out awesome. I'm pretty particular about how my nails are done and Alba did perfectly. **What once was a great place to get my nails done is now too big-headed to provide any form of acceptable customer service (and human decency), and the quality of polish used is now questionable.** I used to love going here, because it was clean and I generally didn't have to wait. Then I had one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. One my gel manicures turn from purple to gray while I was on vacation. It was scary how it just suddenly changed color. Whatever polish they applied was pretty poor and quite questionable in terms of how they sourced it. When I came back to show it to them, the lady at the counter was so rude to me, just because she couldn't find my name in their system. She was practically yelling and making me feel like I was trying to con them. Then another lady came and found my name in the system. They then asked if I just wanted to pay for a new manicure. No apologies, and they tried to make it seem like it was my fault. I've gone to this place for years now. There's no value to being a loyal customer. I think they've gotten quite arrogant, since they have a large customer base. I don't want to do business with this place ever again. If you want a place to have your nails done regularly, avoid this place. Avoid the rude and vindictive customer service and the poor and questionable quality of polish. read more

I had an appt at my regular nail salon, but when I went to my appt they had doubled booked. I waited about 20 minutes before I was too mad and left. On my way home, I asked Siri :) to find a nail salon near me. Serenity popped up so I called them first. I asked the price for a gel manicure ($35.00) and if I needed an appt or could walk in. She was very polite and said to come in and they would take care of me right away. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly lady, who immediately took me back. I had only planned on the gel mani, and since it was a new place, I was paying close attention to the cleanliness and customer interaction. This is the first place I have seen that uses disposable liners for pedicures....genius! The place is immaculate and the staff seemed to have a lot of regular clients that they were asking about their families and vacations, etc... The technician I had was Qhuin (hope I spelled it correct) and she was beyond anything I expected. She was professional and very experienced...and did a much better job than my regular place. I was so pleased that I asked to do a pedicure, as well. I don't usually get them due to worrying about fungus and seeing how little these things are cleaned, but since they had the liner, I tried it. This is also the first place I have seen use a timer, to make sure the pedicures weren't cut short and you get the full service. I think we went over a few minutes but she didn't seem to mind and she never acted rushed or put out. I was offered drinks, wine, fresh watermelon, and other options were available. As far as the price, I paid $70 plus tip for both and am not complaining at all. It is a little higher than your average nail salon, but well worth it. It is a very welcoming environment and I didn't feel rushed at all. I'm happy to say I have found my new nail place and have already scheduled my next appointment and am bringing my husband. Also...I was looking at their service menu and they offer massages. I went the next day for an hour deep tissue with Michael and it was awesome! During my last visit about a week ago, I left the salon unsure of whether or not I was going to leave a review. After my gel nails began chipping 7 days later, I decided I should. First, my nail technician rushed me (without assistance on picking out a color), then I sat next to a SLEEPING technician while another technician watched a soap opera on SPEAKER, while a second technician behind me watched another soap opera on SPEAKER... she also kept bumping into me... I have a two year old son so manicures are a rarity and a treat. I left stressed and now I am just annoyed I overpaid for below average /poor experience and quality. Big reminder on why I stopped going here. Clearly I had forgotten since my last manicure was over a year ago. Overall, clean facility but that's the only positive. read more

Well let me start by saying that I was a patron of the previous nail salon that was at this location, mainly out of convenience because I live within walking distance. When Serenity opened, I was thoroughly impressed with the decor and the service was superb--at first. I continued as a patron of their establishment, but on my most recent visit (about three weeks ago) I noticed that almost NONE of the nail techs that were there 4 weeks before, were there anymore. AND there was a hike in their prices! There was a new lady that did my nails, but I KNEW she wasn't as experienced as the techs that were there before. Needless to say, one of my nails broke that same night (I told her it was cracked when she was doing them and she just put glue on it. Didn't even buff it or anything.) To their credit, they fixed it free of charge the next, but...it broke AGAIN the next day. I can usually go a good four weeks without having to get my nails re-done, no cracks, snags or anything. But within a day, my nails were a wreck. Six out of my ten nails are either snagged or broken. And ummm....I'm not a construction worker. I'm not doing any hard, or manual labor for my nails to look and feel as jagged as they feel right now :( I don't know if I'll be getting my nails done here again for those prices, but I will say Jenny does AMAAAZZZZZING facials. Oh yea, the more money you spend, the better they treat you. But I guess that's most establishments anyway. read more

This lace is pretty good as long as you get a good nail technician. I've had a few of them do a terrible job (and give me an attitude about it) and some that do a spectacular job. It just really depends. I usually tell the receptionist who I DO NOT want to do my nails and that solves the problem. Pricing is similar to all other nail places and they always push you to pay extra for something you really do not need. I do wish they would't short you time that they give leg massages during the pedicure - I mean, that's the best part and some technicians skimp on it. read more

I honestly wish i could give this place 0 stars after the experience I had yesterday. Me and 2 of my friends go in to get fills on our nails. First problem I had was they went ahead and started on my 2 friends and I was left to wait until the next person was done. I even told the lady that it would be better if we all got them done at the same time so we can leave at the same time and she just shrugged her shoulders and said they were short staff right now. Ok? I can get over that, so I wait and wait and wait, my friend is already done and I haven't even started mine yet. Then some guy comes over and takes the nail polish off my nails ( which left yellow nail polish off my nails but all over my fingers) then says he'll be back in 10 minutes, so back to waiting. After about 20 minutes he comes back and I literally get the worst manicure I've EVER had at ANY nail salon. The next problem I had was when he started clipping the nails he was bending my fingers in the most uncomfortable positions, my fingers were literally cracking, and every time I would move it he would just say "are you okay" like no I'm not okay. Then the worst part of the manicure. When he started filling the nails my pinky finger and ring finger started BURNING so bad. And even after I told him it burned he continued to do it. Then when he started filling the nails in the pinky finger was extremely crooked and he just blamed it on whoever did my nails before, I would've noticed if it was that crooked before. Then after they were filled back to the filling. My fingers were still burning , it was awful, not only that but after all the filling he did on my nails they were still lumpy and uneven. Then when he went to paint the nails after two coats of polish you could still see through the polish so I asked for a third coat and he started huffing and puffing. So after I was done I didn't touch ANYTHING I just went straight to the drying station and looked at the nails and noticed he messed a part of my thumb up, it was noticeably uneven. So I went back over there and showed him and immediately he accused me of touching something. I didn't touch anything so I already didn't like the way he came off. Then when he was fixing it he said I was too picky. Which really started to frustrate me. I told him I'm paying to get my nails done correctly not to get a half-done job. And he said and I quoted, "You got the game f***ed up". What does that even mean? I'm at a nail salon, not a bar. Learn how to treat your customers. Then when he finished the clear coat it was STILL noticeably uneven, so I asked if I could have someone else do it. He replied " I know I do a good job, I don't care about anyone's opinion" obviously you don't because I could do a clear coat in my sleep. It really isn't that difficult. My friend came over and I told her "I know who isn't getting a tip" and he looks at me funny and says "you think I need your tip" like you clearly do if you're a man working at a nail salon. Come on now. But after all is said and done, he gets up and goes over to the pedicure area and slams something down then goes to the back, EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Another lady came over and fixed my nail correctly, I believe it was the owner. I asked her what the guy's name was and she hesitated for a couple seconds then said "Chris" so she was probably lying. For ALL the trouble I went through they only gave me a 5$ discount. This isn't even the first bad incident I've had with this place. Last time I came in and got matte black nails done and they rushed me while they were drying and they ended up getting messed up on my way back home. I wrote them a bad review and they told me to come in and they fixed it for free as long as I agreed to take the bad review down. I regret taking it down. The only reason I came back was because this place was close to my house. SERIOUSLY, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. Its way more expensive than most nail salons, probably because it's newer. But for the work being done there's NO reason it should be more expensive. read more

Ok so I can walk to this place. I came in on their grand opening. they are very friendly and professional. Lindsey is the best with mani/pedi. The only complaint I have is that they are never running on schedule. I make my apt in advance and I show up early or ontime and still don't get started for 15-35 mins later after my scheduled apt time. Not very good when you have kids and a babysitter you pay to go get this done. They take care of you from the minute you walk in to the minute you walk out the establishment. If you're in the area I recommend Loria, Mimi and Cindy. Lena did a magnificent job; she was very friendly and professional, and took pride in her work. I will never go to anyone else - please don't ever leave Lena! I made another appointment with her that same day for my next refill. It's been over a week now, and my nails still look fantastic. She also gave me a pedicure, and it was pure heaven. She made my legs feel great without massaging so hard it hurt like some places. This spa is beautiful and very clean; you can tell they take pride in what they do. Not a place that I would go back to. Yes, it's clean, but really is missing a human touch toward some customers. It was my first time there recently, nail technician (I think Cindy was her name) just seemed bothered by having me there. Admit it, it was a walk-in; didn't have an appointment, but as I went in I asked if walk-ins were okay. They said it was fine. I just happened to be at the Bank nearby and noticed the salon, so I gave them a chance. I was not expecting them to be over-the-top nice as it is not a requirement, but I spent over $60 on your business, the last thing I want to feel is unwanted. Serious demeanor, not accommodating, and many times seemed rude. My pedi was okay, not the best I've had, I think there are other places in the area who do a better job. Other than that, Other nail techs seemed a little more enthusiastic with their customers and were friendly, but I guess I just had bad luck.
