I just had a pedicure done. Nothing extra and barely any massage (maybe 2 minutes per leg if that) took her less than 30 minutes doing gel. It was $70 definitely not worth $70. read more

Not going back to this place. I was rushed when choosing my color, even though they were not busy (three employees sitting at stations without customers the whole time), and then charged $23 for a regular polish change that took only five minutes and absolutely did not look worth $23. I let the man at the front know and he rolled his eyes and stayed quiet. I mostly don't appreciate this because I was very polite and kind to them, despite their complete lack of customer service. Decided to try this nail salon because it was close to my house. I was a walk in and was seated right away. The guy that did my nails was very friendly and I thought he did a good job on my gel manicure. However, after four days my nails were already chipping. Great nail salon in Lorton! My most recent trip I got the spa pedicure and manicure. It came out very nice, awesome work by the nail technician. They really do take their time to produce clean work. During my first trip, I got a gel manicure and it only lasted a few days (sadly). Maybe it's because I washed my hands frequently? This place is really inconsistent. Sometimes they're great, sometimes they're awful. I've come alone several times over the years to give them a fair shot; with family, and alone, and you truly never know what you're going to get. Sometimes I have awesome nail techs! Other times I have nail techs that move sooooooo slow. Today for example, I had to actually ask my nail to stop talking to the women next to us because we made an appointment for 12:15 and said they were getting chairs together only for her to start at 12:41. Then, they didn't begin my family members till 12:51. I had even asked her to see if she could clean my skin better, because she didn't get any of my excess skin with a pedi (I have nail techs who get it always!), and she looked at me like I was nuts. My feet don't even feel clean if I'm being honest. I called ahead and politely asked the manager for an honest answer with starting on time, but unfortunately, they didn't do a good job starting on time or cleaning our feet. I had mentioned if he thought they couldn't truly start on time to let us know so we don't waste time (we had plans), I didn't even say anything to the nail tech because she seems aggravated when I asked. I've had countless other experiences with them starting way late, or the manager raising his voice, so sadly I'd say don't go here. They do amazing, but staffing is an issue. Went to get a pedicure with my mom. She called and made appointments for us ahead of time. Unfortunately, it took an hour for us to get a tech. Luckily we got to soak of feet and use the massage chairs while we waited and had no plans for the evening but I understand how it could be annoying to have to wait around. Their basic pedicure would normally be a spa pedicure at other places so that honestly makes up for it to me. However, this last time we sprung for the $55 spa pedicure. I would recommend this if you're looking to splurge, paraffin wax and hot stone massage are heavens. I've never gotten my nails done here but my mom does often and sees Charlie the owner. He's a very popular tech for dip/acrylics and did Ombre on her the last time she went! Last pro tip! Made an appointment in the am after several calls. Came to appointment and the whole appointment was fast. They rush you to the chair and they don't give you much time to pick a color out. Then she spent the entire time taking the polish off. She barely touched my feet. No lotion. No paraffin wax. While doing my pedicure she kept rubbing my toe on the uv ray machine smudging it. I came here after a friend recommended the place. Her nail tech, Tina, was unavailable so I just saw who was available. I went on a Saturday around lunch time. Lots of regulars, but not a whole lot of staff to handle walk ins. I had to wait a bit, but they did lose some clients due to the wait--I was in no rush so 15 min wait wasn't a no go. I think my tech did a good job. A few days in, I don't see any peeling, bubbles, or issues with the color application at all. The nail preparation process was pretty decent also. I wish they did a little more hand/forearm massage at the end. Overall, pretty good. I'll go back and try the pedi next time! read more

I've been going to this place for years, because I found "my person." If you can relate, that's pretty hard to do. Unfortunately, my person moved. Otherwise, the place was clean and decent and I never had a problem with them until recently. They've started playing awful club music that's head-exploding. Why, I cannot fathom. I walked in and tripped over a chair because they piled them all the way up to the door. I asked them to move the chair so no one else would get hurt, and next time I came in nothing had changed (some staff also laughed when I tripped instead of asking if I was okay). Their nail polish wall is very sad. Most of the shelves are empty or have old, dried-out OPI bottles. I should also add that the owners' kids often run around screaming and banging doors. I have a toddler. I get it. But it's not appropriate for a business. I grew up at my mother's place of work. Never once would I even dare think about behaving like that. The staff is not friendly or courteous. And I can't remember the last time I felt relaxed there. Today, I was 10 minutes late to an appointment and the woman I requested took another customer for a very involved acrylic nail process. I waited for over an hour and they told me to "come back tomorrow." They did not apologize and made me feel like I did something wrong, saying "you were late, right?" Walked in to get a manicure and a pedicure, when I came in I asked if they would be able to accommodate that. The lady said yes, and put my to soak my feet. I then sat there for 40 mins without anyone saying anything to me. Someone finally asked me if I was ok when I pulled the arm rest up to leave. I left without spending anything but time there. And they won't get that from me again. *Update* Someone reached out to me and said they were understaffed today and as someone who works in the retail industry, I understand that. I've been coming here regularly for the past 2 months. Despite a long wait the 1st time, Charlie did a great job on my nails and FINALLY I thought I found my place. The next 3 times weren't the same. I call ahead every time I come and I'm always told I can come in at the desired time but every time I've do, he's working on someone else I end up waiting no less then 30 mins. to me that's very deceiving, why not tell me he's with another client and to come later? I guess they figure say anything to get you there rather than be honest and give you the choice of waiting or not. When I'm finally seen the experience and results are nothing like what I wrote in my 1st review, my nails are different sizes, lengths and shapes. With my last fill-in, one nail broke in half the very next day, not due to an injury or unusual impact because there was no pain or problems with my actual nail, it just wasn't filled in properly. I came in the next day and waited over 40 mins for Charlie to get around to fixing ONE nail and that in itself only took less than 15 mins. I've never experienced so many issues with my nails so soon after getting a new set. Now almost, but not quite 2 weeks later and the acrylic on another nail is lifing from the bottom. Will not becoming back and recommend those who value their time and money to choose somewhere else. They are friendly here (that's the extra star) but I can't support a place that doesn't respect their clients time and that is inconsistent with their work. read more

Here's the reason I love this place. Kimberly! She is fantastic. I went in there after another shop messed up my French tip nails for my birthday (though the other people were kind, they just didn't know how to do them properly). Kimberly gave me exactly what I asked for. I came in, told the manager/owner about the bad experience I had at the other nail shop and he was so kind and empathetic. He then paired me with Kimberly and she took the time to make my nails look feminine and professional again. She even checked in with me to ensure that I was getting the kind of style I had hoped for. She was friendly, patient, sanitary, thorough, and precise in her work. The nail spa was clean and everyone who worked there was kind and friendly. This is my go-to place in the DMV now. (Make sure you bring cash for the tip though) Also, the manager/owner is really awesome too. He was helpful every step of the way and completely personable. I could tell within the first few moments of speaking with him that he and the other specialists at this spa really care about their clients. I am visiting from out of town, and this was the closest nail salon to me so I decided to give it a try. Everyone there was so friendly and accommodating. I believe my nail technician was Charlie. I asked for coffin-shaped acrylics and he did an amazing job! He put so much time and effort to make sure that they looked natural, and I can honestly say that that these are the best looking acrylics I have ever gotten. I got a lot of compliments on my nails. They are also taking the proper precautions related to Covid, so I appreciated that. I know that this will definitely be my go to nail salon for when I stay in Lorton in the future. read more

It was my first time visiting this location. I have been to the Springfield location before and this experience was way different. I came to get my acrylics taken off as well as a manicure. I was so disappointed in the service I received. I had my nails dipped in acetone for over an hour. The nail tech kept switching between different clients. If you know you are busy, tell us our wait time. But don't make clients sit in a chair and wait almost two hours to finish with the nail service. I usually don't leave disappointing reviews but this was something that really upset me. My hands were so dry in the end, I didn't even get to wash them after getting the acrylic powder taken off. She went straight in to painting my nails, and slathered some lotion off to finish up. I went home and removed the nail polish. My nails are so weak, two have broken off so far. I've come here numerous times with no issues; I went before my wedding and had an awful experience. First, during my pedicure I was laughed at and ridiculed for not knowing that acrylics are no longer airbrushed but painted. Then, in addition, when I went to wash my hands after my manicure, I put the towel in a basket next to the sink. The whole salon was full and I was made fun of by the male owner (sits at the first table on the left) for putting it in the trash; when it wasn't even labeled. The other technicians are always sweet as well and are knowledgeable about the different and latest techniques.
