This place is gross. Acrylic dust all over the place. Cut nails on shelving near waiting area. I ended up waking out because of the attached photo. You can literally see the grime from other people's hands! Why would you continue to pass it around without cleaning it?? Disgusting. I wasn't there for more than 15 minutes before deciding to go to another salon. If your shop isn't clean, how are we supposed to trust that your tools are? I have never been treated so rudely in a nail salon. There was a male employee that was doing my sisters pedicure & he got upset when we didn't upgrade to a higher pedicure. Then he proceeded to talk in his native language instead of utilizing the English he was previously using. When I commented to let him know we would appreciate if he just spoke in English & remain professional he further acted unprofessional. This was supposed to be a treat for my sister before our sisters wedding tomorrow. I used to live in Lorton but was just in town for my sisters wedding. Only ok. I only went here because they are not to far from my job. I arrived a few minutes before 10 a.m since that is what time they open. At 10:05 the lady shows up to unlock the door. I don't even recall a hello or a apology. My nails are ok but there is nothing special about this shop or the services offered. Also being late opening the shop is just not cool. I just spent 86$ plus $15 tips, for gel manicure and pedicure, and eyebrows. my nails look awful, nobody can tell i just left the salon, it looks like the nail polish has grown and i'm ready for a new one, the lady focused so much on not yo clean outside that she forgot to fully paint my nail, it's so sad, looking at my hands like this. Let's not talk about my pedicure, she cut me, which is ok, accident happens, but she not even removed the blood, it looks like my nails are dirty, and she filed my nails round, she not even asked me and if i correct them they will be too short, my advice, don't go here, it's expensive enough to find a better place. read more

Always have a great experience when I come here. Flower is my regular manicurist. She was patient with my Mom with dementia. Was patient with me through 3 shoulder surgeries. My best advice would be to avoid this place. This nail salon is fairly close to my home, so I decided to give it a try despite the reviews. Bad decision. I opted for the regular pedicure. I'm not paying "spa" prices for something that should be customary. This was the quickest pedicure I've ever had in my life, maybe 15 minutes maximum. They play around with your nail bed and feet as if they're really doing a pedicure. I also needed a fill-in that was done by one of the regular technicians. I noticed that the owner only does the nails for certain clientele. Otherwise, she's sitting around talking. I can't believe that she would allow her business to be ran into the ground. Oh wells, to each his own. My fill-in was even worse. The technician had the drill on the highest speed and was drilling so hard that it cut into my nail bed twice. After the second time, I refused to let her finish. So, the owner had to finish my nails. She was pissed at having to work,so she did a horrible job. It really is hard to believe that this place is still in business. The few remaining customers of this salon don't realize that this is not the epitome of a quality nail salon nor good customer service. Do yourself a favor, avoid this place altogether. read more

I went in on a Saturday on a recommendation from one of my students, and I was BEYOND disappointed. I opted for the UV Gel nail polish they said would last two weeks. I chose a nude color with some shine to it, and when the woman was finished it looked TERRIBLE. I mean, worse than amateurish. I could have done better with my eyes closed. When I told her how disappointed I was, she still tried to sell me on it. She said I could "come back next week." I told her I was leaving on vacation on Monday, and I demanded that she take it off and just send me on my way. While the UV Gel was soaking off, one of the other techs convinced me to try it again with a darker color. Big mistake. After the first coat soaked off, I washed my hands in the sink, and from there I could see the disgusting staff area that's out in the open: food lying around, people's personal clothing items... they had the UV machines and some of the supplies on the floor. DISGUSTING. Things went better at first with round two of the darker colored UV polish, but after I took my hands out of he UV light I saw (and felt!) huge, mountainous bumps on my nails. The polish was like a topography of the rocky f*****g mountains. I had now spent 1.5 hours there, and I just wanted to leave. On the way home, I convinced myself that I could live with the bumps, but tonight a huge piece of the polish FLAKED OFF. Two weeks, they said! Ugh. Needless to say, I will be visiting another nail salon tomorrow to try and get them done once again. This place is ATROCIOUS. Avoid at all costs. read more

'Meh' sums it up. I ran in because I seriously needed a pedicure and it looked empty. And it stayed empty while I was there. Thankfully they were not in a chatty mood and I could read, but they didn't give me feet much of a soak. I opted for the 'spa pedicure' which included more of a massage, and lotion. The nail lady wore latex gloves - which is fine, I get cleanliness and protection, but it doesn't really equal a nice foot massage. Her massage was more like burping a baby for half an hour. Hardly any pressure, or attention was given. In the end, my feet looked great and felt good, but hardly worth the $35 plus tip I spent. If you are in a hurry and don't care much, this is the place for you. If you want special attention (Like at Nails 2000 in Arlington) skip Hollywood. read more

The older guy within the shop (he said he hasn't been working there for long cause he didn't know the prices of the servictook my acrylics off and was very rough! He wanted to take the quick route but I told him I was uncomfortable and didn't mind waiting for my nails to soak off, he really became nervous when he continued to do the "quick" way and I was verbal with how uncomfortable I was. I'm surprised by the good ratings. I get my nails done a lot and at a lot of different locations but this was not good. They took me right away but as he scrubbed away at my feet, two technicians argued loudly and made things very uncomfortable. Once I moved to my manicure, a trail of young teens came in and were loud/rude and basically being teenagers. No one asked them to leave or to quiet down. Then three women sat down for their pedicures and proceeded to eat (ewww!!!) in the chairs, talked loudly with their mouths full and discussed inappropriate topics. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. I believe I need to go in there and see if they even have licenses. I went to get my eyelash extentions filled in. I was told they "didn't" know the cost at the time I made my appintment because they were individually placed. The tech tried to tell me otherwise. I think I would know because I had them professionally done prior to moving to this area. When I came in for my appt, the side room was filthy. I should have just left. I know, but I stayed. The table had oiled stained paper towels where someone's head was. :( Then she came in and opened up a jar of very thin and cheap lashes. I had to repeatedly tell her that I needed my bottom lashes taped and she used a band aid. WTH! She then told me it was going to be $100 for a fill in. I was like get the Hell out of here. Thats way too much. I can go to the spa for that price. This place isn't close to being clean. She then dropped it to $70 and when she took her time for a few lashes I looked like I had spider legs growing out of my eyes. The lashes lasted 2 days before they all started falling out in clumps. Let me say this. This place is horrible. I will never go back nor send anyone there for the type of service and waste of money that I went through. Please close. I'd advise you not to go here to get your eyebrows done!!! I've been here also for a manicure and I've had better for cheaper prices. Even though it's right across the street from me I'd rather continue to go to Sunshine Nails 30 minutes away. When getting my eyebrows done here I've gotten burn scars in between and under eyebrows from their wax. I came back in here again because I was in need of an eyebrow waxing and did not have time to go to my original place to get them done and they screwed my eyebrows up. Manicures and pedicures are too pricey for what they do. All I get is a basic gel nail set and I don't understand how you can go wrong with that. read more

I would like to note that I have never written a review online before, but was so disgusted with the services at Hollywood Nails that I felt compelled to post on Yelp. Went here on a whim to just relax after a long trip with a pedicure (I wasn't near my usual pedicure salon). It was the WORST experience I have ever had. They put me in a chair that one of employees just had his feet in and they didn't properly rinse it out, just drained the water. The water was luke warm at best. I attempted to change the chair massage settings because the pressure was too hard and uncomfortable, but it seemed the remote wasn't working. When I asked the person starting to work on my feet, she said the chair was broken. She then wanted to charge me an extra $15 for a spa pedicure, which consisted of adding the green scrub to my pedicure - anytime I have had this done it is only an extra $5 - $8. She then asked if I wanted to have her use the razor and as she was about to take to my feet, she didn't change the blade! Any other salon I have visited will take out a packaged, sealed blade. This is absolutely disgusting and above all a health issue. I questioned her about it and she asked if I wanted a clean razor, and started rummaging around the carts in search for one. This put me over the edge and I got out of the chair and left with my soaking wet feet. read more

I went to get my eyebrows waxed really quick because it was convenient. I don't think they ever waxed an eyebrow before. The wax she put on was extremely hot and then she attempted to wax me in the same place 3 times!!! She not only burned, but she ripped off my skin! I felt like I was being tortured & punished. My friend recently went for a french pedicure and it looked horrible. The white was halfway on her nails, who wants a half and half toe? Any other place knows to only paint white on the tips. My nail technician Nikki is the absolute best! She respects my time and doesn't keep me waiting when I have an appointment. When I don't have an appointment she makes time to see me. She knows how I like my nails (pedicure and gel fingernails) and eyebrows so I never even have to give her instructions. There was only one incident when I told her I felt rushed and it never happened again. If you feel something is a problem just pull the owner to the side and let her know, she will do whatever she can to rectify the problem. Came in today got my new set acrylic nails n pedicure. A woman did my nails n she worked fast like she didn't want to do them. After reading the previous reviews I made sure I got my money's worth n point out one nail that was slanted n after that she fixed every nail n always asked if I liked it or not. Went here for a fill-in with 2 of my sisters. The service was prompt, but that was they only good point. After less than 24 hours the nails are lifting around on the sides, the gel top coat is not smooth and they are not very detail oriented (nails even and shaped well). One of my sisters asked for a certain shape of nail and was told that they didn't know what it was, but would try. She even had a picture for reference. What she ended up with is what looks like very thin misshaped nails. We will most likely not be returning. read more

It was an ok place for the rush I was in. A bit on the messy side. I'd never get a pedicure here lol. They kept moving my seat which was annoying. I picked my color in one chair & got my nails painted in another. The gel nail polish selection was great. They also didn't have a front desk so Lam (the nail tech) ran my card in a little corner which was weird . But the work she did was pretty decent. She was nice & paid attention to detail.
