My makeup was flawless!
Kim B.

Yeah I'm surprised by the low rating also! I had a Great experience with my full face makeup application! I'm telling you.... Dianna (like the princess) ... She "ATE" my makeup application!!! TRANSFORMATIONAL!! I'll be back!!!

The exchange policy that ALICIA refused to acknowledge or honor. The other Sephora subsequently processed the exchange; no questions asked.

Had an infuriating experience with Alicia. Alicia refused to accept an exchange for a product purchased at the store, claiming that today is the 31st day after purchase, and purchases placed after the 30th day are ineligible for return or exchange - bear in mind that Thanksgiving was day before yesterday, thereby eliminating that day as a possible return/exchange day, which would in effect make today the 30th day. I informed her that the policy is not stated on the emailed receipt, and that it is required to be according to California Civil Code (I work as an attorney in Consumer Protection). She says, "oh it is on your receipt. It's on the website." ....... uh..... huh?? ... LOL.. yeah, so the first order of business would be to learn the difference between a receipt that is issued to the customer, and the website for the store. I informed her that even if it was the case that it was one day past the "deadline," as the manager, she has the discretion to process the transaction if she so chose to do so. She said "yeah and lose my job." .... Uh...seriously. If she is indeed a manager, she clearly has not been one very long. I informed her that my mother is elderly and unable to walk, and that it was her item, and I was trying to exchange it on her behalf; that it's only one day past the presumed "deadline;" that the return policy is not stated on the receipt; and that there was a holiday in between, in effect rendering today, the 30th day; and that she had the discretion to make an exception if she chose to do so. She still refused. An automaton would have had better customer service. We left; took it to Sephora in Emeryville, and they were so kind - made the exchange with no questions asked. FURTHERMORE - and I do not believe that it is possible that Alicia does not know this - there is an extended holiday return policy that is currently in effect! The link to which she directed me (their website) clearly states that purchases placed within the timeframe in which we placed this one are eligible for returns and exchanges until January (two months from now)! How could Alicia not know this? Why would Alicia insist on behaving so bitterly, hatefully, and ungraciously? What was really going on here? IMO, it really had nothing to do with any "policy." It felt very personal. She informed me that she's worried about her job retention (who says that to a customer? - I don't know her), but most experienced managers know that it is not a good idea to be penny-wise and pound-foolish. Poor, poor, inexperienced and unprofessional choices and behavior on the part of Alicia, which led to a completely unnecessary, infuriating experience for a long-standing customer. I have literally spent thousands of dollars at Sephora, and have been shopping there much longer than she has been working there. Sephora is struggling, and like most businesses, should be focused on customer retention. But this location will forever leave a horrible taste in my mouth because of Alicia. I will never return to this location.

Sol de janeiro perfume mist

Went in here around 6 pm was kind busy but the service overall was quick , I liked the variety this store had and enjoyed looking around at the skincare products and perfumes . I always come here to get my favorite signature sunscreen and body products .

I have now ordered it a couple times, and it's never a fail. I can't wait to try some of their other products and services - and will definitely come back. The vibe is very clean and crisp, and there are several treatments room throughout. Also, the reception area is spacious.

Luckily their location was not terrible to find, as there was ample street parking. When I walked in, the warm and friendly receptionist greeted and made me feel right at home. Throughout my visit, Shannon shared me with her wealth of knowledge of the various AHAs as well as retinoid products. I love that we were able to geek out on which products to use to achieve brightening effects. She also made some recommendations based on my skin type such as mandelic acid instead of glycolic acid for gentle exfoliation. Without trying to oversell me her products, she suggested that I try over-the-counter Nizoral antifungal wash for possible white-heads that pop up occasionally as well as prescription tretinoin since I had a few hyperpigmented spots that I wanted to fade/brighten. Given it was my first time there, she did allow me to use my credit card to pay but informed me that she only accepted cash or checks to help keep operating costs down. Since my back issues were minor based on her assessment, I did not schedule a return visit. I so very much appreciate her sound and scientifically backed advice (I also follow various certified dermatologists on IG for general aging skin care maintenance); I definitely will be making a visit if future skin issues arrive!

There's a reason this place has such high reviews. Everyone here is experienced, professional, and…read morethey go the extra mile. I've had filler once, Botox once, and two RF microneedling sessions and it's like the technicians are OCD. Three full passes, every patch of skin is covered, and the results are the best I've had. They give you time to numb, and they do a great job distracting you from the discomfort if you do decide to go for a more intense setting. Also, really helpful with the GLP, clear labeling on each syringe, and easy FaceTime with the doctor. I've never had to wait past an appointment time and there's always parking. Really grateful I found this spot. Note: Sheila did the rf microneedling if you end up scheduling that service. I normally have some white spots but after the service with her my entire face is covered and it shows in the results.

I booked a consultation with Dr. Shay with the intent to purchase a skin treatment package since…read morethe $200 consultation fee can go towards the treatments. The interior of the medspa is clean, minimal, and thoughtfully designed. The consultation was pretty short and confirmed what treatment I was looking for. I felt uncomfortable about the various treatment and product recommendations because I didn't feel like I had a say in what I wanted to opt in or out of. Dr. Shay informed me that a package of 5 was recommended (since packages are usually at a discount vs individual) and that it is typically $950/session for the face, but that she would honor the 5-package sessions to use for my arms as well. When I was walked back up to the front desk, I was quoted a different (higher) price for the package. I wish there was more communication between the staff because I definitely felt cheated. I was ready to purchase the package of 5 as quoted by Dr. Shay, but after hearing the discrepancies I felt hesitant to commit to Kintsu for so many sessions and opted to purchase just a single session which I used the next day instead. Additionally, a skincare product box set was brought up to the front as if I was going to purchase it when in fact I never agreed to it. Thankfully the ladies respected my decision and didn't try to push the product, although I did feel like I was being judged in the moment. I was also recommended a facial which I was not interested in and again felt like I was cornered into purchasing. The day of my treatment went much better, but could still use some improvements. It would've also been nice to have a clock in the room where the prep was done. I was sitting in there for what felt like ages and didn't want to move around too much reaching for my phone. The treatment itself felt pretty straightforward and the nurse had a calm demeanor which was appreciated. I couldn't remember what the aftercare instructions were, so a post-treatment care sheet would've been helpful. The nurse also said she would give me an ice pack afterwards to help sooth my skin, but I wasn't given one and just went up to the front to pay - oh well, no biggie but sometimes the details are what makes the clients feel appreciated and coming back. Overall, I wouldn't be opposed to coming back here if I wanted the convenience of going somewhere close by. The treatment itself was fine, but just be aware that products and services may be pushed on you and to just be firm about what your focus is.

Shiva, the Harry Potter of aestheticians, a true wizard, and the genius of her expertise astounds me. I never walk away feeling over done, or not looking like myself, rather a more refreshed, best version. When friends ask if I'm using new skin care products, rather than, "what work have you had done?" you know you're in great hands. I trust NO ONE ELSE with my face other than Queen Shiva. I bow at her altar. While some reviews do point out that their prices are a bit higher - which is true - they are not the cheapest, but they are also not the most expensive: you pay for what you get! Their prices are comparable to places I've gone before in Walnut Creek who were voted "Best Of", and WAY better. Night and day. There are some things in life that you should never skimp on, or go to the cheapest person for, a lawyer (when/if you need one) and a plastic surgeon/injectables. You are paying for someone who has years of experience, and it shows! Shiva has a deep understanding of anatomy, and her meticulousness during each session is something I haven't experienced before, save for my derm/M.D. in LA.
