Bought a replacement blade for my Babyliss clippers here. Pretty sure it's counterfeit - fake items. It won't even cut the hair on my arm. These are $350 clippers and usually cut extremely precise. Ill never go here again. read more

The employees in this beauty supply are just down right disrespectful and rude , I had bought an acrylic brush in which the cashier did not place in my bag , so after noticing I attempted letting them know they charged me for the acrylic brush but did not give it to me. they gave me an extremely hard time and tried to make it seem as though I was lying, and preceded to lie about the items in the store claiming they did not have the items in stock after I bought it. The owner is a racist and accused me of switching the labels on an item because they put two different prices on the item that I bought for which I was trying to exchange . The other worker also accused me of it and would not exchange my product until I had to call the police on them . This lady has been known to be racist in her store . I will never give them any of my business again. I HAD MY RECEIPT yet they accused me and didn't even bother to look at my receipt or check the prices on the other items to see if it matched up with what I bought. I bought a costume wig on Amazon for comic con and the tracks showed on it. That's what you get for buying a cheap wig. I just couldn't wear it like that. I was looking around for a replacement because I was going to be Storm from X-men at Comic Con. I found the perfect wig here! It is so beautiful I want to wear it out for dinner with hubby. Five stars for the awesome staff in this store. As far as customer service skills go this store could train other stores. Five stars for the wide selection of available products. 0 stars for quality, 0 for pricing. I've been going to this store on and off for 10 years and I'm one who changes my looks often so when they didn't have what I wanted I went on line. I've bought 200 dollar "Brazilian" hair here that must have been from a malnourished woman because it matted in a week. Tried to return it and was told they can't accept it since it's been installed. I get that but I'm assuming if I pay that much for something there's an implied contract that the product is a quality one. I went on line, paid the same price and have had that hair for 4 years. I stayed away for a while but in the past few years I've been wearing natural hair and needed a wig to cover up my rats nest. Bought a 60 dollar unit out of desperation, the thing is matted and useless two weeks later. I think I'm done with this overpriced place now. Fool me once, shame on you. I went into this store on a whim to get hair for faux locs. My braider provided me with the brand she prefers to use. The store did not have it in stock. I will say there were a lot of options, and the place is huge and easy to find, but the issue I had was the customer service. I asked the very nice young lady who rang up my purchase if she could order the hair. She said I'd have to speak with the owner. She called the owner over and the first thing this lady did was look me up and down. Now, mind you, I drove straight from work and was dressed very business like, not that it should matter. She barely looked at the photo of the hair I wanted and kept a tight frown on her face. I asked if she could order the hair and she said no. I told her I would pay in advance and she said no and dismissed me. Now, I had just purchased 60 bucks worth of some other brand of hair and was a bit dumbfounded at her rudeness. Someone helped me pick out a nice priced wig that lasted a year! She helped me pick out and try on a wig which I didn't even know I could do. Then she helped me to get the right beginner friendly wig. I know now that it was very short compared to where I wanted to go. It was about 18" and I was imagining 24" but that would have set me back about $200 to get exactly what I wanted so I'm happy with my purchase. read more

I was in desperate need of a wig so I went into the Beauty Supply Warehouse and was greeted by a helpful clerk who referred me to a woman named Jo. She took me in the section where wigs are sold and tried on and I told her what I wanted. She came up with one wig that was awesome but not for me. When I told her I needed to tweak it a bit, change the color, she came up with a beautiful wig that fits perfectly and looks great. She was patient, sweet-natured, helpful and completely accommodating. The bangs were too long, she trimmed them perfectly and if I ever have any other Beauty needs I will go back to this place of business and if I ever need another wig I will ask for Jo. read more

Do not spend your money here. I am a hair stylist and I frequent BSW in Richmond almost daily. I just witnessed an employee, I believe possibly a purchaser of wigs, yelling and cussing at another employee. He was so demeaning and unprofessional that I had to interject. I spoke up for the female employee, and he stopped yelling. She was in tears. This is not my first experience with someone rude in that store. I spoke with the main manager, Charles of BSW in Oakland, and he was not apologetic or even offered to investigate. All he said was that there was a manager in Richmond. If they treat their employees this way, what would prevent them treating the customers any differently. I will no longer support this business, and I will purchase my supplies elsewhere. They definitely won't miss my money, but if enough people stop shopping there, then they would understand the importance of customer service. read more

I purchased a human hair wig from Beauty Supply Warehouse which I maintain well. After less than an hour of wearing it, the hair becomes extremely tangled and matted. I went to the store and explained the problem to them hoping for a solution. Instead I was told to carefully comb the hair - which I already do on a constant basis. Whatever hair they use is poor quality and not worth the price they charge. I have had human hair wigs and weaves in the past and never had this problem. read more

If i could give this place negative stars i would. I went into their store on Jan 19 and used apple pay to make my purchase and it went through the money was immediately taken out of my account but the later at the counter said it didnt go through her end and that the transaction was cancelled. So i proceeded to call my bank to see what was going on and my bank said nothing was wrong there was no charges pending and it immediately came out of my account so i told the lady at the register the same thing and she told me no and would not give me the items i purchased and she " so called got on the phone with her bank" who I tired to speak to but was rudely hung up on once i started talking. I was told i was not going to get my items nor a refund because their machine didnt print out a receipt after being there for ever and talking everyone in the store, their bank, and even the owner of the store i had to pay again in cash just to get the items i already paid for. DONT EVER GO HERE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS JUST HORRIBLE THEY WILL STILL YOUR MONEY BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST MONEY HUNGRY AND DONT CARE ABOUT NONE OF THE PEOPLE THAT SHOP THERE. WORST BEAUTY SUPPLY HOUSE EVER I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN HERE AGAIN AND THEY WILL BE HEARING FROM MY LAWYER. read more
