I've been a Supercuts customer for almost 9 years and have been going to the Pinole location for nearly 3 years. Unfortunately, today would be my last visit. Three weeks ago, I came in for a haircut, and the gentleman who assisted me did a great job. During that visit, I also requested a hair color--specifically ash gray or something close to it. The stylist agreed, but mentioned she would "try not to bleach" my hair. Instead of the color I asked for, my hair turned red. She told me to come back and she would fix it. I returned today expecting her to correct the issue, but she told me she couldn't do it because my hair is black. This was frustrating, because if it wasn't achievable, it should have been communicated clearly from the beginning instead of proceeding with a service that resulted in the wrong color. I remained patient the first time, but during my return visit, her attitude was unprofessional, and she initially did not want to issue a refund. After speaking with a manager, they offered to color my hair back to its original shade, which I declined. In the end, I was charged for the haircut and refunded the rest. As I was leaving, the gentleman who usually cuts my hair apologized, which I appreciated. While I was speaking with him--not even addressing the stylist involved--she said, "We don't need you here anyway." That was completely uncalled for and disappointing. It's not just about the money. It's the time wasted, the poor communication, and the lack of professionalism. I will not be returning to this location, or to Supercuts in general. read more

Don't let the previous reviews deter you from going. I was long overdue for a hair cut and my usual spot never had any openings. Plus I received great reviews about this Supercuts location. Walked in and immediately was greeted by Brandon. He listened to my concerns and my hesitations on cutting too short. He was patient to cut an inch at a time until I was satisfied with the length. I saw Brandon for the first time, and he did a great job. He did exactly what I asked for and didn't get "creative." I would definitely suggest calling and making an appointment with him. BUT the other stylist could not have been ruder and mean to me. I was shocked. I can't believe that they employ someone who is so overtly hostile to the customers. Her nastiness was right in front of her customer, who looked embarrassed. The lesson: Check this place out. Do not just go in for a walk in, and don't do this to your children. Schedule for Brandon. After being canceled at two different salons, I was desperate for a haircut, so I booked with Linh at Supercuts in Pinole. I was pleasantly surprised. She was ready when I arrived for my appointment and immediately asked me what I wanted and how she could cut my hair. She did a great job cutting my hair short like I wanted! Had an initial good experience last month and liked the results of my haircut. Made sure I remembered the name of my stylist and when I went in for a haircut yesterday, found out she would not be in until 1p.m. I made an appointment for 1 p.m., and it was suggested that I might want to do 1:15 in case my stylist was late. I arrived there a bit early. I waited patiently until 1:20 p.m. and then left. The two stylists on duty showed no concern or acknowledgement and appeared to be indifferent...I won't mention the name of the stylist I had an appointment with as this may have been a fluke, but I don't think so. Interestingly, there did not appear to be any customers in Supercuts from the time I made the appointment or during my wait...I may have uncovered the reason why! I've been coming here for 7 or 8 years and have generally been treated well. Yesterday was the exception but bad enough that I've decided to go elsewhere. I'm a 70 yo with severe mobility issues. With Covid, this Supercuts had supposedly switched to an appointment system so there wouldn't be a full waiting area. What a joke! They also take walk-ins and they gave a woman who had no appointment priority over me! And sat her with the stylist I had requested. Total wait time was going to be one hour. This is bullshit. This was my 1st time here & I was pretty skeptical but I gave it a chance based on the reviews here. The haircut was for my 1 year old daughter. I called before hand and asked how much the haircut was and if I needed an appointment. The lady said a kids haircut was $15 & I could just walk in - which is great - price not so much. Came in here at around 10am. It's right net to five guys and next to Jamba Juice. Since it was early morning on a Friday - the parking lot was pretty much full. I walked into the salon with my daughter and a really nice lady at the counter greeted us ad took down our name. There was nobody else in there beside an elder lady getting her hair dyed. The lady that took care of us, was really nice and talkative. She mentioned that they had good sales on their shampoos , she was really good with my daughter as far as getting her comfortable. She really listened to what I wanted and did a quick and good job. At the end of it all the haircut turned out great, my daughter did wonderful, & my daughter even got a ballon when we left. The lady also gave me a coupon card, after 9 haircuts the 10th one is free! So that is awesome. Prices are ok - nothing super expensive like other salons - staff is really nice - not busy - quickly get seated - will definitely be coming back :) read more

I'm stylish and picky so I arrived with photos of the cut I wanted. Tiffany was patient and gave me guidance. I highly recommend her and will be sending my partner in next. I advise booking an early appointment to avoid waiting. I was seen right away and done within 30 min. I have thick curly hair and usually have to go to salons that specialize in naturally curly hair. What I relief to know I can stay in my neighborhood and save time and $. She also said they do blowouts which I don't see on the website so I will def be following up on that. The only positive thing I have to say is just for my hair stylist that day, Janelle. She was very sweet, answer all my questions and made me feel comfortable. I'm a male with very long hair that is almost past my butt, so you can imagine how nervous I get with people cutting my hair especially if I'm just getting lined up and afraid that they might cut too high and it may cause my hair to be layered unnaturally. When walking in, I was not greeted. The younger gentleman with a nose ring in the front was very rude to not make eye contact cannot tell me that I had to sign in or was not welcome me at all. Even after I left my haircut and ask him questions he was rude and not encouraging for me to return. Is the reason why they are lacking the additional three stars. The place is clean and tidy but the price of the $20 haircut, rude and unwelcoming nonexistent greeting and the way I left feeling like I did not want to come back really turn me off. Janelle does get 5 stars in So with the combination of that I will give Supercuts two stars in total. Will not be coming back here again. read more

So a few months back I was looking for a place to get my hair cut since my regular person was no longer at my usual location. I came to Supercuts in Pinole because it was close by, priced about the same and had working hours that fit my schedule. The first visit was everything I had expected, normal service, good haircut and the person was friendly. The reason for the two stars is that a month later on the second visit I arrived before 7 p.m., just got off from work, and the door was locked and a lady inside was closing up. She saw me and waved me off. Another person was just walking up and saw the situation and commented about them closing early. I headed up to Great Clips to get my hair cut...the person who was standing outside with me in Pinole also ended up at Great Clips. read more

I got here around 10:45 on a Friday morning. There was one stylist working and one other customer waiting before me. I waited for 30 minutes before it was my turn. The stylist gave me plenty of attention and asked how I wanted my hair cut. After she cut and combed my hair straight back, I told her I usually part my hair (I walked in with it parted). She re-combed my hair and asked if I wanted my mustache trimmed. I accepted and she proceeded to "trim" my mustache to about 10% of what is was to begin with. I will probably return, but pay closer attention to what is being done to me. read more

Nice quick haircut with friendly people who do a good job. What you would expect from a supercut location which is good for a guy just needing a short fade. You get what you pay for and this is the equivalent of a good little hamburger stand where you go for a quick satisfying meal. It was alright -- The customer service was nice, and the people are great but it all boils down to the hair cut -- maybe it's just me, but I expected more. So I came in, sat down, and asked them to give side bangs and any hair cut that gives me volume and matches my round face. The hair stylist worked her magic -- cut off about 2-3 inches and straightened out my layers and done. The hair cut makes my head looks flat rather than voluminous and there weren't any style to it probably because my layers are replaced by schoolgirl haircut... I should have just asked my sister to snip off my hair instead, it would have been the same. I won't come back. read more

WORST VISIT EVER!!!! I will NEVER come back!!!!! Do not waist your money here! I went in to get a simple "side swept" bang and I got a choppy mess! It looks like an another job I came in on April 17th 2014 around 5:30 or 6:00 pm an Asian lady with blond hair took me in WORST thing ever!!! I showed her a picture of the bangs with different angles of the same bang and after I saw it was NOT what I wanted she tried to tell me it was ok before I even noticed the mess she made she tried to cover it up and once she knew she messed up she tried to fix my hair with products. I have previously had pleasant experiences at this location but it only takes one disaster to turn a person off forever. During my last two dye jobs I was told repetitively about a conditioning dye treatment that is very inexpensive because it does not use a developer. I believe I was told it would be 17$ but it could have been in the low twenties as well (I was fairly certain of the number 17 but I am willing to admit my memory is not 100% infallible). What I am crystal clear on is that my total would be approximately 40$ after including a 20$ haircut. Boy was I surprised when my total came to 72$. But not before the two stylist had to consult with one another on what to select on the register. No fucking thank you. I hope this review can save a few people from a dishonest experience. Ask them to spell out the cost in blood before you sit in that chair because apparently services can double in price when the manager is on vacation. Edited to include new information. My bangs were not cut evenly and my hair is very dried out. Not to mention the dye spots along my hairline in my neck. read more

While I come here maybe once or twice a month for a decent haircut, today I showed up and sadly had to leave. Normally, there is somewhat of a wait, mainly because it is the only place to get a normal haircut that doesn't cost in the $40 range (most local barbers), which is due to there only ever being two people with open chairs. Today was no exception to that rule. After waiting for almost an hour, I left without both a haircut, as well as my turn in like being anywhere in sight in regards to a "normal" timeframe. They need to get their stuff together, because this "two people working" thing just doesn't cut it. read more
