I don't have before pictures but it's been a million years since I got my hair styled. I messaged Jen through Yelp and she was quick to get back to me about booking an appointment on her super efficient website. I had really long virgin blackish hair and asked for a layered cut with a low maintenance type of color so maybe a shade of brown that's closest to what my natural hair color was. It is really hard to find someone that can cut curly hair especially nearby. I live in the east bay and have traveled to different salons in San Francisco for a good cut. OMG when I tell you I have gone to countless hairdressers and have paid literally THOUSANDS of dollars on cut and color, the only person that I have truly enjoyed and felt like they have understood my vision was Jen. I went into for a haircut and I was very vocal about keeping my length (I fried off my hair after going platinum blonde a year ago and am scarred over short hair lengths) and how I wanted choppy layers and curtain bangs in the front that blended in, kind of like Sabrina carpenter. She looked at my face shape and knew what type of style would look good on me and I am OBSESSED with my haircut! This is my most complimented haircut to date! She will be very honest with you and hold what's BEST for you and the integrity of your hair rather than just doing what you want and taking your money. She told me that anything IS possible but sometimes if the integrity of the hair is going to be compromised she would rather save the hair and NOT do the procedure. With that kind of work ethics I KNEW I was in great hands The Salon is right by the waterfront in Hercules and next door is a little cafe so if you're having a long process like I did, you can just order your food and drinks and have it delivered! I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Jen to anyone looking for a complete NEW change like me starting with a major haircut cutting at least 6" off the bottom and adding lots of layers and then all the different coloring procedures!! Jen had to do a color correction because of my years of self coloring at home, grey root coverage, balayage and then finally face framing highlights I told you I was asking for A LOT but look at the MAGIC she was able to create!!!!
