Carrie worked miracles on my hair so much so that when she gave me a hand mirror to look at the back of my hair. I actually looked around the room because I didn't recognize my own hair! She's a brilliant colorist and a lovely person. I can't say enough good things about her. Just look at my before and after pics! read more

Sherry at Sashay's salon is the absolute best hair stylist in town!!! She has expert skills, products and experience to cut, color, and style short, medium and long hair! I've been her client for over 15 years and don't mind the extra miles I have to travel to have her work her magic on me and enjoy our conversations. She is a true Gem and I'm very grateful that I found her. She will remain my hairstylist and friend for life :) read more

Was getting my hair cut at at a fancy hair salon in Blackhalk. Hair dresser was good, but way overpriced. Had the same great haircut- even better at sashays In Pinole. Ask for Carrie. She knows what she's doing! She gave me exactly the cut i was looking for. I was surprised to know she's new in the business. Prices are very reasonable and she knows the latest trends. I went here not expecting much of a difference in customer support and performance, but WOW carrie did an amazing job on my hair i got highlights while kept an amazing conversation with her, i 100% recommend! :) read more

Got a haircut from Sherry with high expectations since she had good reviews. Showed her a picture of the style I wanted. And when she was done I was disappointed. The cut did not look even close to the picture. I guess she's good at hair coloring, since that's what most of her good reviews are about. But not on haircut :( read more

First off, This little salon is in the cuts in Pinole. When you first walk in you see a bunch of stations. They do hair, and nails. It's a cute cozy place. I was in severe need of a haircut. And I looked up salons around my area. I live in el sobrante. I was referred to Carrie and she booked me right away. Let me just say Carrie is extremely detail oriented. She took her time and a girl can seriously appreciate that. She gave my hair the shape and life it needed. I will definitely be going back to see Carrie and I'm glad I found someone I trust in my area! read more

My hair BADLY needed TLC & i was checking on Yelp for recommendations. I'm so glad stylist Carrie Frazer accommodated me & was able to squeezed me on her schedule that same day. I had a hair cut & balayage. It's hard to get somebody to trust your hair, and i'm happy i found her. Thanks to Carrie she's my fairy godmother! I look a lot younger than my age! She definitely knows what she's doing & taking her time in every details & educating me as well. Her price is very affordable too! Now that i found her, i have no reason to neglect my hair. This momma needs to take care of herself too! I will definitely recommend her to my friends! I super love my hair! read more

Sashays - trendy haircut, root touch up & balayage by Carrie Frazer - Nail Salons Near Me - Pinole, California

Carrie Frazer is a saint. I texted her on a weekday morning with a major hair dilemma, and she reworked her schedule so she could squeeze me in that day. She was very deliberate and meticulous throughout the entire process, explaining each step along the way. She was also very understanding when I had to leave earlier than anticipated for class, and texted me to schedule a follow-up appointment during which she trimmed my ends, applied toner for additional color correction, and curled my hair to finish up what she'd hoped to during the initial appointment. On top of having amazing follow-through, expertise, communication, and flexibility, she's very genuine and personable, and shares wonderful stories about her life and family. I've finally become one of those people who are attached to a certain stylist, and will definitely be coming back to Carrie while I'm in the East Bay. read more

sherry at sashays recently highlighted and cut my hair. As you can see the highlights are horrible, my hair is damaged and feels brittle and the haircut is extremely choppy. When my hair gets wet it becomes one big mat which was never a problem before. She was unfriendly, didn't greet me when I walked in, brushed my hair from the top down, burnt my head w the bleach and the hair drier AND before I left she told me that if my boyfriend says he doesn't like my hair it's because it's a guy thing!!!! Who says that unless they know they messed up? She should take the $60 tip which she didnt deserve and go back to school bc she obviously has no pride in her work or clue as to what she is doing. Especially if she thought this was ok. Im very disappointed and angry. I don't have that kind of money to spend and I wanted to treat myself and look nice for a vacation I was about to go on. i will never be going back to this salon or recommending her. These are photos of the NEXT day. The highlights don't go up high enough and def don't look natural. My hair had no previous color in it. read more

Aha! I'll never forget Sashay's, though I have forgotten the girl's name who was my hairdresser! My sister and I tried the salon because the name looked and sounded pretty. Saaaa-shaaaay's! There was a grace to it and was easy to pronounce. We both made appointments for our hair and nails. Inside, the salon was cute and cozy. The stations went around the large two rooms. One room was a few steps up from the first. The hairdresser chosen for me was perky and bossy. She said that bleaching would destroy my hair but agreed to do it anyway. So whenever I went to get my hair colored, the whole time she did it, she told me over and over that the bleaching was killing my hair from the roots to the ends! She would also tell my sister this. "Your sister is ruining her hair! I've tried to tell her but she won't listen! She just won't listen to me and take my advice! Well, I got tired of this treatment! I took it for months because the nail girl did a good job. "I can get my nails done anywhere, "I thought to myself." And that was the end of my few months at Sashay's! No more details, Yelp Idiots!!!!!!!!!! read more

I have been going to Sashay's for at least 20 years. Sherry is my hair guru and my Mom and both I trust her with our every day hair and any special event hair. Sherry can do it all. Sherry is very talented and listens to your request to give you the best result possible. She really shines with her color skills. The shop is always clean, there is plenty of parking, and Renee is great with nails too. Highly recommend. read more

From boring brunette to interesting and eye-catching! Kelley Lemos rocked out my hair! I asked for "alternative professional" and I got it, spot on. I wanted something vibrant and different, but not so over the top that I would risk losing my customer-facing job. I love the new colors that have tones of purple and auburn so I brought examples to Kelley and she worked her magic. Now people take notice of my hair and I get compliments all the time, including from my boss! I love my new color and will definitely go back to Kelley for touch-ups. Sa Shay's as a salon is open, inviting, well decorated, and clean. I didn't walk in to the classic wall of hair products and was not overwhelmed by the usual smell of chemicals and dryers. It is a very pleasant space to spend a couple hours. read more

My babysitter recommended this place for a haircut so I went. I found a style I liked on Pinterest and Sherri, who was able to squeeze me in at the last minute), cut about 10 inches off (I was ready for a change). I have gotten so many compliments. Thank you Sherri! read more

I love Kelley Lemos! My experience went beyond positive hairstyle, I wanted to hang-out with this woman. Sure, it helped that she complimented my stunning visage when I entered. It helped some more when she put my scalp, and consequently my noggin-noodles, into a state of ecstatic bliss during my shampoo. Rocked pretty hard that she could quote most of the lines from my favorite film, "Out of Africa", with me. Oh, and she did a bang-up job on my hair, too! ;-) In fact, I loved Sa Shay's. It is the salon experience that I've been dreaming about. Great cut, great color, recommendations but not pushy and lots of ladies to blather with. I'll admit, I was probably one of the younger clients there (and I ain't really so young anymore) but I can't actually complain about that. It is awesome to feel like the baby once in a while! read more

I've been needing a hair cut for weeks, my hair looked dull and dry wanted my hair cut and colored by anyone at this point, but with a good reputation of course! I've never had my hair professionally colored and remembered Sashays a local salon nearby. I read recent reviews and found Carrie. Received Carrie's number from salon since she wasn't in and texted her my dilemma. She texted me back immediately and said she was running errands & would not be available today, Monday. She told me to take photos of my hair & text her. She called me within minutes! I think she could sense my desperation & changed her mind and said she could meet me in the afternoon. This person who I've never met, who sounded wonderful and understanding over the phone was just like the reviews stated. Carrie truly is amazing and honestly cares about her clients hair and tells you what she is doing since I didn't know what to expect. Carrie simply is one of a kind after she rearranged her day to help me out & I must have been with her for 3.5 hrs. She took her time, I got a long lob/bob, blowout and came home with beach wavy hair just like I wanted. I'm so fortunate to have found Carrie. I came back after 3 weeks for a balayage treatment-my first and the results are beautiful. read more

I came here and saw Kelley for a haircut. She was recommended by a co-worker. She was very friendly. She normally charges 45 for a cut/wash/style and 30 for a cut. First time customers can get a discount (ask first). Although I wasn't disappointed with my cut, I didn't love it either. It just didn't have much shape to it and afterwards, I found myself cutting odd pieces of hair that was sticking out and looked out of place. Also, during the wash, I was disappointed that I didn't get a scalp rub. Normally, when I get my hair washed, there is some attention paid to my scalp. I also felt my hair being tugged and overall didn't find the experience relaxing which is something I look for in a haircut. I recommend Kelley for a straight forward no non-sense haircut for a reasonable price but nothing more fancy than that. read more

This place is always bustling but yet very clean and well-kept. GEORGETTE is awesome. She's patient and she wants the job to be done right. And she proved that point when she cut my hair today. I've lost hope in getting my hair "professionally" cut/trimmed/layered when the last 3-4 times were all disasters. She has given me back that confidence in letting someone hack off my hair that I've patiently grown out over many years. She didn't rush, she asked me questions after some fine tuning and made sure I double checked that what she did was what I wanted. She kept in mind what my idea and vision was even with my poor instructions. :P Her prices are reasonable and affordable, (especially for someone like me with really long hair) most places charge extra for longer hair. She doesn't. :) I've been referred to her by my bf and another friend, I highly recommend her. She's got 25+ years of experience and it shows in the work she does. Thank you Georgette, I will be seeing you again. :) read more

I have had gone to this salon for year and received great services. However lately, the atmosphere has been disturbing. One of the stylists, Sherri, is constantly gossiping about other stylists. She was so loud one day, that I heard her telling a client all about a former stylist's personal business in a very negative manner. I know the stylist she spoke of very well. Its very unprofessional. read more
