So I said I'd come in sick with a mask on to my appointment in order for them not to charge a cancellation fee. They said I couldn't come into my appointment either because I'm sick. So basically they won't let me go to my appointment, but they also won't waive the fee for keeping me out for being sick. Wtf? These people are seriously unprofessional and rude. Any other salon would've understood and simply waive the fee like a real business who treats their customers well. Not to mention my first experience there when the employees gossiped about other clientele the whole time to each other and then smile to your face as you fill their pockets, wtf was that about and why are they doing this in-front of customers in the chair?! I really tried to give this place another chance, I had hopes for this place based on reviews, I came to realize later a lot of those nice yelp reviews came from their friends, yes I can tell. There are definitely better salons out there that are authentic and courteous and I was lucky to find a better one with higher standards for how they run their business and treat people and been with them ever since. Happy to ditch the ritzy place, no room for the fake and greedy.

I really regret spending around $500 at this salon for basically nothing. I paid for the treatment,…read moretip, and an expensive shampoo they recommended, and I'm extremely disappointed with the whole experience. I originally went in for a different treatment, but the worker C recommended the QiQi treatment, something I had never heard of before. She told me it would be stronger and give me the straight, smooth results I wanted, so I trusted her recommendation. Unfortunately, I barely saw any difference in my hair. I also trusted them and bought the expensive shampoo they recommended, even though I had never heard of it before. In my experience, the quality was very disappointing, and I regret spending money on it too. They agreed to redo my treatment at no charge, and I gave them plenty of time and opportunities to fix the situation. I called, messaged, and followed up, but now I'm getting no response. I really did not want to leave a negative review, but after giving them so many chances to make things right and hearing nothing back, I feel completely comfortable sharing my experience. I truly regret spending all that money and getting almost nothing out of it.

I wanted to like this spot so bad but it was very underwhelming and the service for the application…read morewas terrible. I went for what I thought would be a simple root touch up. I did tell them I got my hair done overseas and didn't. know the color. They didn't inform me that my hair was too dark and it would not show on my roots. For the application, the stylist got color spots all over my face. It was probably one of the messiest applications I've ever experienced. Then, when I asked to be re-seen to get my hair done since it looked like nothing had been done to my roots, they tried to convince me that I NEEDED bleach to lighten my hair (which would've cost me additional hundreds of dollars). Mind you, I have a dark brown hair color. Some time has passed and I've consulted multiple hair stylists and they all confirmed I DO NOT need bleach to get my roots the same color. When I complained to the owner, she said I needed to wait for the sun to lighten my hair?? Which is completely absurd. 2 months later and to no shock, my roots aren't lighter. I unfortunately would not recommend or be returning.

So deciding to cut my hair is always a long process. After reading reviews I decided to take a leap of faith and cut my hair to finally give my hair a break from all the split ends. You ruined a teens self esteem! This really took a toll on him mentally, his hair means everything to him. From the moment I stepped into Chop Salon, the service was absolutely wonderful ~ check in/out was a breeze, and even during wait times for color to process, there were ample snack/drinks to munch/sip on. Appreciate the good tunes and really just the overall vibe of this salon. It feels cozy, but also hip and comfortable. This is for this specific location. I previously left a review about my experience with this salon,…read morebut that review is no longer posted, so I am sharing my experience again. My biggest issue continues to be the OWNER repeatedly canceling my appointments. This has happened more than once, and it is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Customers arrange their schedules around appointments, and our time should be respected too. What makes this especially disappointing is that the cancellations are coming from the owner herself. As the owner of a business, I would expect you to set the example when it comes to reliability, communication, and customer service. If a customer repeatedly canceled appointments, I'm sure it would be considered unacceptable and they could potentially be charged a cancellation fee. So why should customers be expected to simply accept repeated cancellations from the business? I have tried to be patient, but there is only so much inconvenience a customer should have to tolerate. I am leaving this review because this was genuinely my experience, and other customers deserve to know what they may encounter when booking here.
