I was having one of those weeks at work that only a good haircut can fix. I was able to book an appointment with Ashley the same day, all the reviews that mentioned her were good so why the hell not. I am thrilled with my haircut, she did such a great job. I'm hoping to keep my hair chin-ish length for the long term, and one of the biggest requirements for me is being able to tuck it behind my ear if need be. The length is perfect and with the back shorter it doesn't hit my neck at a weird angle. I'm able to wash, dry, and go with minimal styling but still look put together. Buyer Beware! A first-timer to Chop, I made an appointment to have a section of my hair dyed a muted raspberry pink. When I arrived at the appointment, I had photos of the color and placement. We discussed the process and the stylist confirmed that she understood I did *not* want my hair to be a neon/shocking color, that it should be a muted dark pink.  The stylist did a great job at placement but bleached my hair then applied neon red dye. She did not check in with me on color at two different steps as she had promised and when it came to the "big reveal" after almost 4 hours in the chair, I was too exhausted and stunned to ask what happened. I went home, mulled a bit and contacted the owner. The owner was nice enough to fit me in early the next morning. She explained to me that the stylist didn't need to bleach my hair to achieve the look I requested and then dyed my hair a more muted red after telling me I would "just have to trust her" when I politely asked what color I could expect from this process so I could adjust my expectations accordingly. I left with a maroon chunk of hair and breakage from the bleaching. When I contacted the owner to ask for a refund, I was denied "per salon policy" which seems unreasonable, especially considering that I was charged for bleaching and other bits that were not necessary. The whole situation was entirely disappointing. Beware that there are no refunds given here. read more

Lexi did an amazing job with my hair! I came in and wasn't sure what I wanted but she made a couple suggestions and ended up doing a touch up for me. I wanted my blonde to be higher and brighter (without damaging it too much) and she did exactly that. She even suggested that I get curtain bangs and I loved how it turned out! I used to go to a different salon that was pretty high end, but the guy that does my hair (highlights, grey blending and roots) makes things more complicated than it should be and that he was the expert and my thoughts didn't really matter.
