I wouldn't recommend this salon unless you want to be ignored & like being treated like you're wearing an invisibility cloak. They make u wait 'til they're ready to deign talking to u, and then act like ur imposing on them by ur presence, or like something they'd like to scrape off the sole of their shoe. They should post signs warning potential customers that they don't want or need your business. Big, fat ZERO read more

I love Norma!!!! Been going to her for years and years. I will follow her anywhere! But this place needs an update. It looks ancient and sorry to say, dirty. No receptionist. You only go because you love your professional. read more

My experience at the Salon -- always great. Everyone is professional, accommodating and most importantly, very nice. In particular, everyone is the person who added color -- highlights -- to my hair, blown light ). Thank you . I absolutely love how my hair looks -- it makes me happy. I also get a lot of sincere compliments from friends, as well as from people who pass me on the street. "I love your hair" and "I love the vibe!' read more

I have been going to Odete Alexander at Transitions for decades. I love my hair color and hair cuts from her. Last time I went in, I had a Brazilian Blowout. OMG, it turned out AMAZING. I was shocked when after she blew dry my hair, it was straight. No flat ironing required. Now it's been a week and after each washing, my hair is no longer frizzy. I love it. I wish I had this done way sooner. Thank you, Odete, you have changed my life. Having had frizzy hair all my life, this is a life changer. read more

Sharon did a fabulous job on my highlights. I had a year's worth of grow out and she blended it perfectly. The cut was perfect, a 2" trim that was actually 2"! Will definitely be going back! Thanks Sharon! read more

Spent over 4 hours getting a hair cut and color to cover my greys ... I showed the woman pictures of how I wanted it cut , she said fine . After the color , & drying my hair she did a chop job ! Left my hair like a bob NOT at all what I asked for and said you can come back if you still want it shorter. I was really tired by that time and hungry , I left thinking maybe I can work with it to look good as my sons wedding was the following weekend . $245.00 later If the person can't do what you ask they shouldn't even cut. Why not just say sorry that's too hard I can't do that style! Never going back & wont recommend this place. Sharon you should take classes. read more

When Marcella did my hair, I always came to hair transitions. After Marcella left, I followed her then she had to quit doing hair for medical reasons. I asked Marcella to refer me to someone and she did. This person I only let her cut my hair twice, she never remembered me or how I wanted my hair cut. Because of this I left and went back to Hair Transitions, that's when I met Taylor. The first time she cut my hair, I told her that I wanted it short with layers since my hair is very fine. Unlike the other lady Taylor knew what I wanted. I have not been back to see Taylor in a few months. Today when I went in she knew who I was and how I wanted my hair cut. Taylor and all the hair stylist are very professional, helpful, and friendly. Thank you Taylor for doing such a wonderful job. read more

I absolutely love this salon! Everyone is so friendly. There's a really good vibe going on in there. I have been a client @Transitions for years. I want to give a special "shout out" to my stylist, Odete Alexander. She is so talented! Odete really cares about her clients. She works miracles with my hair. (Note: I have long hair, and she is always so patient with the extra work it requires.) I always receive compliments on her work, and I am quick to recommend her. Her creativity goes above and beyond. Odete is so honest-she will listen to your ideas/requests and tell you if it is doable or not. She is also very reasonable in her prices. Making her clients happy is her ultimate goal. I love her for that! Thank you, Odete, for all the good that you do! read more

I have been going to them for now 7 years and I became close to Odete my hair stylist . I love how she uses 2 tones of coloring on my hair and I always leave with very soft hair . You should check her Facebook page on many vibrant colors she uses on the younger generation : blue, pink, purple and nice hairdo too. My friend recently asked me who colors my hair and I said Odete. She will book an appointment with her next as she was very disappointed with someone she recently tried . Odete also really cares about her customers and she is a person of integrity and heart . I highly recommend her . read more

We go to Odete for all of our family haircuts and coloring. We have been going to Odete for over 20 years. She does an awesome job. Odete is very polite, courteous, respectful, and a very nice lady. She is very thoughtful with her customers. I totally recommend Odete as a hair dresser. She is like family. Odete has done my daughter's hair for proms, graduation, and other special events as well. a family member will come from Solano county just so Odete can cut his hair. He has been going to her since almost a baby. It has been over 20 years as well. Thank you Odete. Transitions is very clean, fun environment, and safe. read more

dont get a haircut from TAYLOR. she may be good at other stuff but cutting hair aint it. I cried at home while looking at my hair and i had to go to another salon and get it fixed. it was so uneven and messy. Look at the "face framing" she did. a thick piece of front hair that she didnt even bother to fix. She mentioned her bfs mom owning the salon i hope they're not letter her cut hair w/o a certificate. i cannot explain with words alone how disappointed and mad i am. read more

Sharon always did my hair. The last time I saw her was 5 years ago when she cut it super short in preparation for losing it due to Chemo. It took me all 5 years to grow a little back. In the meantime, it turned gray, wavy and very thin. Tonight, she gave me "low-lights" (adding some pepper to a lot of salt), cutting off some completely fly-away thin hair and giving it a style. She understood and I'm happy and grateful. Thank you Sharon - you're the best! Cindy read more

Sharon did an amazing job with my hair three days ago and it was exactly what I was looking for. I've been looking in the area for quite sometime now to find someone who can take care of my hair needs and can produce the style Im looking for without me having to over explaining it, and after numerous tries and fails I think I've finally found the one :) she was very attentive and paid attention to detail, my hair looked really nice after a Brazilian blowout and a style. read more

As a guy, hair perming is still a new experience for me and was nerve-wracking at first. But Taylor sat me down and was able to give me exactly what I was looking for. To all my brothers considering a perm, look no further! They will get you right! read more

I have been coming to Sharon here at Transitions for 5-6 years now. I am mixed race and it's hard for me to find someone that knows how to do my hair and take care of it at the same time. I really enjoyed going to this salon and having Odette color my hair purple and cut. I had been going there for a couple of years. She was very good but the last time I went approximately 4 weeks ago she almost tripled her fees. I was always loyal to her and tipped VERY well ($30 - $40). I was just so disappointed that she screwed me over this way. read more

Taylor does my hair and I'm always happy when I leave! She's kind, professional, takes her time, and listens to what you want. I called this salon for 3 reasons : one it is close to my house, two it had good reviews on yelp and three they had Olaplex. Olaplex is a treatment you add to bleach so your hair wont break off. Marcella answered when I called. She set up a consultation and I booked some highlights on my bangs to brighten my look up. I think she did a very nice job. I wanted something simple because my look is where I want it to be. I just needed a little suttle streaks. She also does wedding updos, make up, hair extentions, permanent make up and Brazilian blowouts read more

Marcella completely changed my views on going to a hair stylist, which I would normally avoid at all cost. She not only was able to cut my difficult hair beautifully, but she is also a color genius. She managed to lift my dark brown hair to a light enough shade in ONE try, WITHOUT DAMAGING IT, to be able to turn it into a beautiful pastel purple. PLUS she is one sweet lady, she treats her clients like they are life long friends. 100% would recommend anyone looking to get their hair done to give her a try, I promise you will not be disappointed. read more

Odette is a phenomenal colorist / stylist. She is blessed with a natural gift of artistry through hair design. My daughter came to me wanting rose gold hair. Odette has a great reputation in the West County for doing bold, vivid color (among other techniques). I knew Odette was the right choice! The proof is in the photos. Taylor Thurgood was my stylist, I had her install ktip extensions that I purchased myself ($1200) she charged me for install and bleach all together $915. Mind you I was her first real client for this install method. Taylor thurgood guaranteed her work prior and said how confident she was .It was beautiful the first week, then ktips were falling out and than massive shedding, due to her not bonding the hair correctly. I spoke with a specialist who's been doing this method for years and she agreed that she did not bond correctly. They refused to refund me for the hair I purchased and Taylor Thurgood said she would only refund me a partial of the $915. She said she would Zelle. I began getting frustrated and asked a few times for my payment to be sent, no response until I called the salon. Taylor then again said she would send it "right now". I get a text within a minute saying "come in" I called and it was Debbie Haggerty yelling saying "no I'm telling you to COME IN" I come back in and she explains she called my hair manufacturer and I should reach out to them for a refund for the hair, and they said all 10 packs were faulty? How are all 10 packs faulty? and so now she believes Taylor does not owe me for anything after she agreed. Completely unprofessional experience. Taylor Thurgood also made racist comments during my installation making me feel uncomfortable. She knew the right thing to do but Debbie wanted to make sure I received nothing from this experience. All Taylor had to do was follow up and send the partial refund. read more

I had an amazing experience with Sharon! She made me feel so comfortable and as a first time customer I left feeling like we'd been lifelong friends! Seriously she could be a comedian! We are lucky to have her doing hair though because wow she is a wizard with shears. I got a very dramatic a-line cut with U shaped bangs and dyed black and couldn't be happier. I'm a very nervous customer because I've had my hair completely ruined by salons before, but she nailed it. She was incredibly precise and paid great attention to detail and I will definitely be coming back to her! 32 years of experience cutting hair sure shows.
