First of all, a 50% deposit is required in order to book the appointment. I had no problem with that but didn't realize until after that I had chosen the wrong date due to the date being so small in font. I received a confirmation that showed a date that was further out than I desired and wanted to cancel right away but there was no option to. I responded to the email, calendar invite, and sent a text all stating that I needed to cancel the appointment right away. At this point my appointment should have been cancelled and pending deposit charge should have been cancelled as well. It was not. Instead she responded argumentatively and told me that she would cancel but I had to wait (and so does my deposit) until the following week whenever she was back in salon. While the amount of those funds may seem trivial to some, to others they are not. For me this disconnection and the way it was handled is unprofessional and inconsiderate to the client. Doesn't really make me want to even give the service a chance.

It's a very cute cat-themed shop with comfortable places to sit and books to read while you await your appointment. My husband and I had no idea what a really good haircut, style, and color was until we met Kelley at Sashay's. She is totally amazing and knows exactly what to do after asking what we wanted. She always makes us feel welcome & wanted & always asks if we want to change anything or do anything different. I LOVE my hair and so do my co-workers. The first time I went I had just broken a nail - Kelley introduced me to Tammy who fixed my nail and wouldn't let me pay - she is also amazing at nails - I really never knew that you didn't have to hurt for days after getting your nails done. My nails look better than they ever have. I then met Renee who does my pedicure and is also excellent at her job. Sashay's feels like family now and did after my first visit thanks to Kelley. I moved to the bay area 3 years ago and have been on the hunt for a hair stylist since I got here and I have finally found her. There is nothing nicer than going to get your hair done and leaving the salon feeling like a million bucks. When I went, the store was closed but I heard a honk. To my surprise, it was Ann! She opened the door and explained to me that she went to do some errands due to a no show and I was able to fit in same day at the time I arrived. For cut, style, and wash, this was $40 either cash or Zelle to Ann. She told me that the number indeed is no longer valid and each of the hairstylists are contacted by their personal phone number to schedule appointments etc. I typically don't go to the same hairstylists unless if the price is cheap/ the person cuts well. Personally, $40 is a lot but I wasn't only give those services. Ann was the first hairstylist to ask me the temperature of the water I use to wash my hair since she noticed I have thinning hair. Even telling her I have genetic hair loss, she reassured me it can be combatted in some ways. I feel confident to come back to get my hair cut by Ann after my very first time here. Definitely out of my budget in some ways but where can you find this package for this price? I highly would recommend Ann! She's such a sweet person too!

I had tried booking in January with another stylist, Gio, but our schedules didn't align. I had worked with Gio before at another hair salon in Berkeley and she is the sweetest! I found CS Beauty Salon through their Instagram page and was redirected to their online booking platform. I reached out to Carina first before booking, just to see if she was still accepting new clients. The appointment had been filled by the time she got back to me, but Carina was nice enough to squeeze me in for an appointment on another day, that same week. There is parking in the back of their building, but it looked a little tight to go through and there is a lot of oncoming traffic to turn into, so I just parked at Dollar Tree and walked over. The salon looks remodeled and everything is brand new and clean. I believe they opened about 3 years ago? There are complimentary snacks and a coffee bar for you to enjoy. Carina was easy to talk to and she is very friendly and welcoming. I appreciate her reaching out and communicating with me when she was running behind with her current client. My appointment included a wash, cut, and blow out; I opted for long layers and face framing. She did a great job and I'm very satisfied with my cut! So basically they won't let me go to my appointment, but they also won't waive the fee for keeping me out for being sick. Wtf? These people are seriously unprofessional and rude. Any other salon would've understood and simply waive the fee like a real business who treats their customers well. Not to mention my first experience there when the employees gossiped about other clientele the whole time to each other and then smile to your face as you fill their pockets, wtf was that about and why are they doing this in-front of customers in the chair?!
