WOW! Charles and Public Storage helped me SO much. my gf moved to argentina for 3 months and subleased her place... I decided to move out of my studio at the same time to save some $$ so i could meet her down there at the end of her internship (YAY)... we needed to put our stuff somewhere safe and clean (because i'm kinda ocd about my stuff :-)) and we found this place! COULD NOT HAVE BEEN A BETTER EXPERIENCE! First of all, they were totally professional and helpful with Q&A. Charles toured the whole building with me to show me all the different units because i had NO idea what size we would need until i saw some samples. he was so good humored and friendly about all my questions. ;) THEN when my gf came by, he answered all her questions, helped us get set up with auto pay and BOOM! we were set to move in. since then, we've been in and out of the building and they always say hi, ask us if we need anything and are super helpful. They even walked all around the buidling for me and down to the corner of the street to look for a cart for me on a busy day when most carts were being used. AWESOME! What more can I say but Security Public Storage was my first choice after interviewing several Public Storage Companies in San Francisco. If you want to do business in a family atmosphere, Charles and Nickolas are your men. The facilities are very clean and well-it. Double protection, key pads at the front door and in the elevator allow only customers to enter and exit. Very important to me, clean restroom! Charles and Nicolas made me feel so welcomed. I liked the physical layout. Two car parking spaces for unloading. Flatbed available for your use. Charles is an organizing whiz when it comes to filling out the necessary forms to rent from Security Public Storage. I personally felt well-cared for. Nicolas was instrumental in helping me to downside into a smaller unit after I took out about 1/4 of the things I had had in storage. I could not visualize all my boxes fitting into a smaller unit, but it did. The wonderful things about renting a storage unit from Charles and Nicolas are they have all the things one would need like locks, boxes, tape to buy if you need them. About a year ago i moved out of one Security Storage in DC and into my new place across the street from another in SF. I was bummed i didn't go there first as i could have just walked stuff over and not hired movers! 12+ months later and i get to redo my choice. We are redoing our balcony and have patio furniture to store for a few months. Sadly, these guys were 100% booked up! But earlier today Chris calls me and says they havr one unit open! Four people on the wait list, but he recognized our name from the DC location and called us first. I thought the unit would be too big but he insisted i had undercut my sizr. Long story short, the dude was right. I definitely needed the larger size! Good lookin out lil homie. I am pretty stoked to be able to walk over the patio furniture tomorrow. They have carts so it will be sunday cake. I highly recommend this place, just call asap and don't wait until the last second. They are apparently often booked completely up due to having a lot of security mechanisms unlike some of the hobo home storage places around here. read more

Clutter is THE best moving company! I've only utilized movers once but I will always use them or refer them if need be. They're amazing, do a wonderful job and the movers were absolutely excellent and kind! My father (84) kept telling me how polite and kind the movers were! Ryan Lee, Madrid and Malachi Bobbit were THE ABSOLUTE best! They were funny, efficient and super polite. We had a great time with them and will always use Clutter again for moving. I highly recommend clutter for any moving experience. The set Up was easy to use, the guys packaged everything well, and did a marvelous job of packing the truck and got everything on one move. Truly good guys and great company! The supervisor even came out To my home to check on progress and such. Love, love, LOVE this company! I just started renting a space at SPS. The sign up online is easy and just a bit of paper work when you get to the office. Security for the site is pretty good (code in and outs on the outer doors and elevator). There are plenty of carts to use and they usually have a parking space or two coned off for customer use. The space I got was in good condition and has nice tall ceilings so you can stack and stack to your heart's content! The best thing about this place though is customer service. I dealt with Charles on both my visits. He helped me with the paper work, padlock and initial move in. Unfortunately I lost my keys to the lock the first day I had them (moving and such, they just disappeared). Charles was incredibly helpful. He get a bolt cutter from the back and cut the old lock off and got me a new lock all with a smile and humor. I would recommend this storage facility to any of my friends! read more

After a hectic moving day, Charles professionalism and patience made everything better. I had movers scheduled for 3pm on a Saturday and they showed up at 7pm. Not only was I frustrated that I spent a beautiful weekend day on movers but I knew that the storage unit closed at 6pm. Charles waited hours after the storage unit was closed to accommodate me because the moving company had strung us both along. To much surprise, Charles greeted us with a friendly smile and the most delightful personality. For a minute, I was completely caught off guard because I couldn't understand how anyone could be happy after this situation. At the end of it all, life truly is too short to waste one minute angry. This is an extremely professional and well-run business. The facilities are spotless and well-organized. The most satisfying part of my experience, however, is in dealing with the team who runs the company. I've mostly dealt with Charles in the main office. He is smart, efficient, and, most importantly, willing to go out of his way to help. For example, recently I had a critical need to access my stuff and, as I pulled up at closing time, I realized that I had forgotten my key. This was a huge problem because I was under a work deadline. When I explained my problem to him, he graciously agreed to stay and hold the facility open for the 20 minutes it took me to retrieve my key. I've heard multiple similar stories from other customers there. It's awesome to find folks like this willing to go the extra mile. read more

I cant say enough about the staff and their way of doing business its great. In the past my partner was very ill and they expressed concern for his well being and making sure I had no worries in having to move around alot things therough the whole thing. I recently was a little forgetful having to get my dads ashes and some musical instruments to which are invaluable and very sentimental to my family, well long story short I received a phone call within minutes of my departing the bldg.to be informed that I left one of the instruments behind and that they had it in the office for me to retrieve. Needed short term storage at the last minute and found these guys here at Yelp. Reviews were right on. I found Malcolm to be extremely friendly and helpful. He showed me lots of different options for my storage needs, which were 4 beds and 2 sofas. He also really helped me figure out what space would be the best for my particular needs, which was for my business. The savings were great and I loved that they have a parking space for me across the street while I'm helping my movers get the stuff in the unit. Everyone here is super helpful and I would definitely recommend again! Charles was sooo nice helping me move out and Malcolm volunteered to cut my lock off when I forgot the key to my unit. As a customer since October 2006 (4+ years), I have nothing but high marks for these guys. My storage unit has done just what it was supposed to and without incident. While here, I was always greeted with an amazingly helpful staff. Always courteous. They also made some important upgrades to the building a couple years ago. Monthly rent is fair with slight increases over the years. Even regarding a slight billing mishap, they were completely professional while working with me to get it corrected. A little civility on your part does go a long way. Keep in mind that it's the city, so parking may be a little tough at times. Just plan your visit and have some meter change handy. read more

Whilst in between places, I stored my stuff for 5 months at Security PS. I chose them because of their prompt customer service, and I was not let down. The place has convenient free parking (at the lot across the street and in front), is impeccably clean, and is reasonably priced. I never had problems with access or security, and the other renters there were always cordial. Most impressive, though, was the treatment I received from Charles and his staff during my time there. They were always kind, friendly, and worked to make sure I got the best deal possible. Also, the online payment system is super straight forward. This is The Best Storage Facility in the Bay Area!!! We used this facility for our business during a transition from one to store to a new location. When I made a call to inquire I spoke with Charles. He was very informative but most importantly friendly. When I stopped by I was pleased to meet him in person and he showed me available options. So i just finished my month stay at this Storage Facility. Although it's in the middle of the city it actually is quite accessible. They have a designated spot to unload and two permanent parking spots that all seem to be readily available. The storage is in a nice, clean, and safe area of SF. But most importantly it is ran by a great employee named Charles. He really makes you feel welcome and will do what ever he can to help you with a unit, unloading, or any other logistics. For me, it's about good people and Charles fits that mold. i would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to store stuff. read more

The owner and staff at Security Public Storage are patient and helpful, and treat you like they value you as a customer. The building and units are clean and well maintained. The rates are amazing and I feel like i am getting a good sized space for the money, which is not the norm when trying to find storage in the city. They are in a great location that is easy to get to and there is great parking so you won't have to circle the block 5 times or double park. I am very satisfied with the service at this storage location. It was very last minute that I needed a place to put my old studio apartment, and Charles and Eric were more than eager to help me get a unit reserved, with good detail about the business and its offerings. Very reasonably priced, very clean units and entire building, staff always on site to help. Also, each unit is individually armed, which is a requirement for storage units in San Francisco. My wife and I have been using this storage place for the last two months now and are totaly satisfied with the customer service level, location right off the Bay Bridge (Since we ended up living in Piedmont) and the Safety of our personal belongings..It is a very secure building and you will see why I say this when you walk in with the plasma screen on the back wall and 5-8 CCT cameras feeding live what is going on around your stuff!To re-cap...we love it...convenience....safety....and friendly staff! SPS is everything I'd expect from self-storage -- it's clean, safe, conveniently located, and decently priced...well, for San Francisco, that is. I'm sure you could get a less expensive unit outside of the City if you're willing to make the trek (which I'm not).The staff is friendly and helpful. I generally visit my storage unit on the weekends, and Malcolm is always lots of fun to chat with. My only complaint is that the aisles between the units are very narrow, which makes manouvering a cart around corners a challenge. read more
