I came here to get my LiveScan finger printing done so I could apply to take a state examination. It was super quick and the fingerprints were accepted by the BRN. I believe it was $90 which is pretty much the price I was seeing for other places in the city. Would recommend for live scan! read more

Conveniently located in the Fillmore District, it was just the spot I needed to blaze in and drop off a FedEx package. Funny how some shipping locations don't always accept a pre-addressed package. Maybe they don't receive any revenue for the transaction? Not the case at this spot: I didn't have a problem at Fillmore Postal. My package was scanned and it was off to FedEx. A little dingy inside, reminded me of a shipping dock off the rear of a business but the owner was friendly and I was on my way in a flash. read more

I'm beyond frustrated with the outrageous pricing at this shipping service. They're charging 30% more than what I would pay at a FedEx store for the exact same service! He wanted me to pay $150 for shipping. I later looked up up on Fedex.com and and they were only going to charge me $115. Thank goodness for the women behind me that mention the USPS offers flat rate 2 day shipping services. I shipped my package for $21.85. The owner knew about the service but clearly cared more about taking advantage of the uninformed more than providing service to a black man. It feels like he is taking advantage of customers who might not have the time to shop around or who trust that they're getting a fair deal. Unfortunately, that trust has been completely shattered. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this service to compare prices elsewhere first--you'll likely find a much better deal. I won't be coming back, and I'll make sure to let others know about this pricing scam. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with this mailbox service. It's almost impossible to access my mail because the office is constantly closed during posted business hours. I've lost count of how many times I've made trips here, only to find the doors locked with no explanation. It's incredibly frustrating, especially when I have important packages that I can't retrieve. There's no point in offering a service that people can't rely on. The lack of consistency and communication is unacceptable. I would not recommend this service to anyone who needs reliable access to their mail. Save yourself the hassle and find a service that actually honors its business hours. P.O. Plus in the Castro is much cheaper and has reasonable operating hours. read more

Hours are listed everywhere online as 9 AM to 5 PM, yet when I arrived it closes between noon and 1:30 PM. I walked 25 min to get here. More frustratingly I arrived at 11:45 and it was closed saying closed from 12 to 1:30 PM, so they closed early today. Now I have to walk another 30 to 40 minutes so I can find a place to ship a package. Everyone deserves a lunch break, fair enough, but please post your times correctly and please follow times as posted. read more

I stopped by to have a passport photo taken. They took 3-4 images until I found one that I liked. And in addition to printing, cutting and putting the final correct sizes into a small folder for me, they also included the digital version for free and emailed it to me. I love this place and I love the people who work there. A nice review is the least thing I can do for this place. I had to get a lot of paperwork ready to send it to USCIS and needed to make 8 passport photos. I went to this place to get everything ready then after everything was done, my card got declined and it was over 100$ so I checked my wallet but I only had 53$ cash so I thought I am going to be in a very embarrassing situation but au contrary he was really nice, he gave me all the paperwork and took time to retake and choose the best passport photos. After moving to CA, I needed to get fingerprinting for my professional licenses and employment. Z at Fillmore Postal was great. He has the LiveScan process down to an art. I've never had good luck with fingerprinting (always hoped that could work for me someday), but Z was able to get all of my LiveScans processed and none were rejected! The location is very easily accessed by bus and I was able to find street parking the time I decided to drive here. My next visit will likely be to have my passport photo taken, as they offer that service too. I like that it is apparent to me that Z enjoys his store and takes pride in it. He offers many services to the community and deserves to make a good living by doing it well. read more

I cannot say enough about the kind and professional service that I received at this store when I tried to send a package internationally via DHL. The Postal Code I had was not working in their system and so rather than sending me away the owner took the time to solve the problem by contacting DHL directly. Then the following day the owner called me to advise my package had been picked up by DHL as he knew I was concerned about it arriving in time for a Court appearance. This kind of service is mostly forgotten these days and I cannot thank the owner enough for his patience and the service he gave me under a very stressful situation for me. Wasted my time and money by slowly filling out a doc I was getting notarized and not explaining to me that he refused to sign THE LINE THAT SAYS NOTARY WITNESS until after he had taken my money. Now I have to print out the doc and get it notarized by someone else. The doc also required a witness. The witness initially only spelled their name out without actually signing it. Had to point that out to him to get it fixed. Seems like a mistake a notary should be able to avoid? Maybe his other services are fine but please don't waste your time getting notarized here. If he is your last resort option, be sure you get him to explain everything he plans to do to your document before you let him touch it to save yourself a lot of headache. I don't understand why my experience was so opposite from the crazy amount of 5 star reviews this place has. Makes me suspicious.... read more

Asked a simple question over the phone about pricing for mailbox rentals. They directed me to the website at which point I insisted that he tell me since we're already on the phone. He persisted to have me use the website b/c he was busy. Understood. However, when I went to the website, pricing was not available there. Not only that, but their "FIND OUT MORE" button only refreshes the same page and does not actually direct to any page providing more information than the page that the button was originally on. read more

But let me say that I officially rate it 4.5! haha Being a part of the printerless population, this place was a LIFESAVER. I needed to print and sign and scan a document ASAP and was feeling mucho lazy (not a good combo). I was browsing Yelp for the closest printer/scanning place and voila~! I live a 40 second drive from Ethio Bay. (I sucked it up and walked the 1.5 blocks though, go me!) The owner is super friendly and patient. The use of the computer is $3.00 for 15 minutes or less, which I thought was a bit steep. But I figure that's what I get for not having a printer. ;P The rest of the services were the usual prices, which was nice. I just walked out, after having no idea what to do to renew my passport, the owner took passport photos, helped me not get scammed online with all the passport renewal places-- he even let me fill out and then print all my passport documents there and then shipped everything!
