I've walked past this business for four years on my way to work and always noticed that it was quite busy. Now I know why. The customer service here is phenomenal! I recently joined a clothing rental service called Nuuly and I was hoping for a quick way to ship the clothes back without going to the post office. Wow! Yesterday was just an unbelievable experience here. I've been coming here for over 5 years. Although their rates are expensive I have always enjoyed not having to wait in the lines at the post office. I used to come in and would be greeted by name. Matt was the employee that usually took care of my shipping needs. He always packed my items with care. More tho, he always asked about my daughter who has gone away for college. Priority overnight shipping so pricey, no reflection on this business, it's all FedEx; this shop seems totally organized and honest. My experience started strong, but immediately degraded once they charged my card and picked up my property. Kiko handled my project personally. I needed to ship three large paintings from SF to South Carolina. He provided a fair quote, and picked the items up from my apartment in the city personally. Then it all went to shit. Once back at the shop, the quote shot up over $200 more (over 50% increase from initial quote). Since I provided all of the correct dimensions and weight, and he failed to estimate added packing, we settled on splitting the difference. He said the items would be photographed once packed, and they would be sent along with tracking info when it all went out the next day. My card was charged, but I received no photos or tracking, regardless of an email inquiry sent over 24 hrs after pickup. No reply. After threatening to file a police report, I finally received photos of a terribly over-packed box of my own original artwork, purchased by a client. As an artist, I told him I was looking for a shipping account to use for my business, and he said they worked with artists all of the time. I find this hard to believe, or perhaps their standards of professionalism are lower. No apologies were made by Kiko or anyone at Post & Parcel. 48 hours after pickup and charging my card is far too late to receive confirmation of shipment and a receipt for a first-time customer who has entrusted them with sensitive items. They also neglected to insure them. Complete failure to deliver on all fronts. Let's hope Fed Ex can hold up their end of the deal. read more

It is annoyingly difficult to find information on the internet about this place. I knew it existed because I'd walked past it a bunch of times, and even used it in the past for some shipping and faxing needs. I couldn't remember the name of it and I absolutely HAD to find a FedEx shipping place within walking distance of my house. No amount of Google-hunting could return info on this place, except an 800 Fed Ex number, and my go-to local search site (durh... Yelp, of course!) didn't have a listing for it either. This is a pretty standard shipping location, offering DHL, UPS, FedEx and regular USPS / US mail. They also have a photocopy machine, faxing services and a notary public. You can get a private mailbox (P.O. Box) here if you want one, and they've got pretty standard office supplies that you might need in a pinch like legal pads, pens, pencils, etc. The people who work here are shockingly service oriented, which is SO much better than the lackadaisical attitude I've encountered by the sloth-like counter guys over at the UPS store on Fillmore (http://www.yelp.com/biz/DpVJWUcwgjBCAhXn-xVSQg). I believe it's a family owned business and I'm so happy that they're holding on as there are fewer and fewer of these types of businesses left in San Francisco. I've gone in there to ship packages in the past and gotten excellent customer service. Not so today. I'd heard that the store handles shipping of USPS media mail for its customers. I wanted to know the cost of using this service. I tried literally eight times to explain what I wanted (I counted) The guy who anwered responded each time that "We are not a USPS location". I kept telling him that I knew that. I asked to speak to someone else. He refused. He finally gave me the price: $38. I asked him to confirm and told him that USPS media mail is $6.00. Again: "We are not a USPS location". I use places that provide good customer service. I have options. I'm not going here again. read more

Total rip off. They charge .65 for .49 stamps. I made a rush error and bought 100 and handed them my credit card, signed, then ran out the door. That was my mistake. Don't do what I did. The other reviewers are right that it's hard to find because there isn't a big sign, but you will find this place if you look for the American flag out front. Whatever and however you want to mail, Rebecca and Chris will make it happen. Never in all my years would I have thought I'd someday be writing a yelp review for a postal store but after my first few experiences with these guys I felt inclined to write a review and give a special thank you shout out for their help! I have a vintage store in the Mission district and Post and Parcel is the only place i'm aware of that has double walled boxes in multiple sizes, so when I have to ship something delicate or overseas it's worth the drive over to buy the perfect box. Not only do they have the best boxes but they are artists when it comes to packing and estimating size and cost. I know it sounds silly, but they are experts at looking at what you are shipping and telling you precisely what box size you need and how much packing supplies will be needed. What i liked best was there were two people working behind the counter, a notary and a non notary.. they switched tasks so that the non notary could do the parcels a lot of them and the notary could help me so i could be in and out quick ...it was great. read more

I have used the Presidio Heights Location for years. Fast, friendly and efficient. Staff and owners are always very pleasant to deal with.

While the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful, be very aware you may be paying an egregious premium markup for any the shipping services services. I have found the charges for UPS, FEDEX and now USPS to carry an almost 100% markup. Profit is one thing and I am willing to pay a MODEST premium for convenience, but the levels of price inflation I have experienced is so far above the shippers' public rates that it amounts to, in my personal opinion, utterly shameful customer abuse. I am referring only to shipping rates, not to packing fees. Stay far away, open your own accounts with USPS, FEDEX and UPS - you will save quite a bit rather than ship with the albeit pleasant people in the store who purport to charge only modest premiums. read more

Only been here a few times but have gotten excellent service each time. The workers are very friendly and want to get to know you as well as help you with your postage. Small shop, parking is a little tricky during the day but there is a 15 min only spot at the end of the block which is usually free. read more

I've gone here for notary and mailing purposes and the service is always great and the people working are always knowledgeable and pleasant. If you've been to many places like this, you know this isn't always the case. I've read some grumblings about a website, but they provide their services on site and not online, so I don't really see this as a problem.
