The staff made it SO EASY for me to hand over my items and know that they will find the perfect box and add the right paper and padding to it. After it printed, the sizing in my document was a bit off, so they helped me adjust it on the fly to get what I needed. The printing cost was very reasonable and in line with what I expected. Great local spot to drop off packages, be it UPS, USPS, FedEx. Literally a one stop shop for all these shipping companies! I was in the Potero Hill area and had to drop off a FedEx return - Post & Parcel being the closest location to me (within two blocks). Fortunately, lots of free 2-hour parking nearby, so it was a quick in and out to drop my package off. Note that since Post & Parcel is an affiliate drop off center, pick ups from the various organizations are limited. I went around 4pm, so I already missed the Fedex pick up time of 1pm. In general, dropping off your packages earlier than later is better, especially if you want to make it in time for the pick up times! Given the limited shipping companies in the Potrero Hill area, Post & Parcel is an absolute necessity, especially for Potrero Hill residents who might not have a car to travel to a much farther away UPS/USPS/FedEx location. If I'm in the area again and need to send a package, I'll definitely be back! read more

We go to Post & Parcel multiple times a month, it is a convenient business as there is no USPS/UPS/FedEx office in the neighborhood. They offer PO box, package drop-off, packing, shipping, and also computer and printer access free of charge. Basically, anything you may need, they have it. The first time you ship with them, they will ask you a bunch of information. It takes a little while for them to fill them in, the good part of that is when you come back, they can pull up your information and you have nothing to do. Why 3 stars and not 5? The service is not always super friendly. It used to be worst, I feel they have improved since then, but it's not there yet. I am never too comfortable when I interact with them. The second con, is the opening time, they close quite early, especially for someone working, it's often hard to come before 3PM. read more

This place is very convenient to take care of your postal needs. You can even pick up cards and some gifts. They also have a printer available in case you need to print out a label. The only reason I do not give this place 5 stars is because the person running it has a terrible attitude. I have been here numerous times since the pandemic started and whenever I ask a question, the guy has the most condescending, belittling way of responding. I get it if you are having on off day or two, but 12 visits later and the attitude is the same. If you have a question be prepared to be spoken to like a child and know it's not you. I made the dumb mistake of coming here to send back an Allbirds package that required the mere task of printing a label and send it off. I understand that they were wildly busy and I was happily waiting. I was also really excited to see they had notary services as I have had to use notary services a lot while sending my visa documents. However, never have I made to feel such condescendingly mocked while trying to send a package. He treated me like I was a dumb person for not being able to send him an email. Post & Parcel has been my go-to shipping and occasion card shop for five years. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and on top of things. P&P has got my numerous packages to their destinations on time and in great condition. A note on the card selection. It alone is reason to visit P&P. There are your standbys: cards with art work, Norcal blockprints, Papyrus, Snow & Graham. And, there are absurd and snarkily funny cards. Staff change a few months back with seemingly a new manager now. The new manager seems more interested in arguing with customers than helping them. I made the mistake of forgetting my mail box key, a rare event, and he spent more time belittling me than he did getting my mail. A well rounded manager might politely ask you not to forget your key next time. This guy sarcastically asked me if I needed him to organize a new key to be cut because he could not believe how anyone could simply just forget theirs. I have been a customers of this place for several years and up until now they have been great. Shame for one manger to ruin the experience. read more

I walked in with my Zappos return box. The woman I believe was the owner was working on the display at the entrance. She looks me up and down and says, "Is that ALL? Go to the back." No actually, I wanted to come in, drop this off, have a look around and get some cards for some birthdays I have coming up. But since that was the RUDEST greeting I've ever had in a shop, I'll make sure not to give you any business. I get they don't make any money off the prepaid shipping items people bring in, but she seemed to go out of her way to ensure I don't spend any money there. Such a cute little store that doubles a post office, card shop and trinket shop. Some friends and I spent a while browsing through the hilarious cards that they have, trying to find something for someone's birthday. There were so many choices that it was hard to choose just one! The store is a little small but they make up for it in cuteness and diversity. You can get stationary ranging from the cute and cheesy to the humorous and un-pc. Knowing so many businesses on the hill this place is odd. Been in twice in the last two weeks, never gain. To say the staff are unfriendly is an understatement. First time I purchased a $5 card and waited patiently at the counter for 5 mins while two young women did absolutely nothing, let alone acknowledge that there was a single customer in front of them. Second time, leg in a cast, I forgot the paperwork that I came to get notarized. Asked politely if I could access my e-mail and print as my movement is restricted. You'd have thought I'd asked for the world, again nobody in the store. Amazing how a little smile or being just a touch polite to customers helps. Seems many have had the same experience. I drive up and down 18th Street often, waving at a dozen or so merchants who are amazing, not these guys, a pity. read more

This place is the best!!!! Lynn and her staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Their service is extremely prompt; even when there are a few people ahead of me, I always get in and out of there quickly. Their prices are also very competitive. One of the best things about this place is they will accept prepaid UPS and USPS packages without giving you a hard time. Most mailing places won't accept prepaid packages, which is super annoying and inconvenient. To make it more convenient, you can open an account there and they keep your credit card info and address on file. You can just drop off your packages and leave and they email you an itemized invoice later that day. They also offer pickup service in the neighborhood, which I think costs $10. I come here just about every week with a package to return (Bluefly and Zappos I'm talking to you). The prices are consistent with going to UPS or the Post Office, but it is majorly convenient (18th St) no lines, and the store is stocked with very cool ironic, intelligent and hilarious cards. Thankfully, not a Hallmark in sight! Some of the reviewers have written that the girl at the checkout is not friendly. I thought too at first, but once I spoke to her, I realized that she is super shy. Cut her some slack. read more

3 stars for great service and convenience. Like others said, the staff here is helpful and friendly. I love that they are located in Potrero, which is near my Dogpatch residence and has easy parking. However, it seems really pricy. I paid $4 for a box, which seems a bit steep to me. And whenever I ship a package, even if I ask for the cheapest option, it's always at least $40 to ship. I guess they just don't ship USPS ground? I had a package priced here recently, which was estimated at over $40 to ship. When I actually shipped it via Priority Mail at USPS, it came to a little over $20. Previously, I paid $40 for a package shipped via UPS, which I know normally ships for less than $30 when I go to the UPS retail store (let alone the further discount I'd get on a commercial account price). Maybe I'm missing something that's not apples-to-apples, but it just seems like the margin they're taking for service and convenience is higher than I'm willing to pay. read more

This is my go-to neighborhood shipping center. It's just up the block from me and it makes the experience of going to the post office way more nice than stopping by a Fedex store or official USPS. While the prices seem sometimes a bit high, the service makes up for it. Staff are happy to help and are efficient. They also have a cheap printer if you're in a crunch plus dogs are allowed so I don't have to tie up my dog.
