I have recommended this business to many people friends because it is very convenient for this neighborhood. You can drop off your packages that have prepaid labels from UPS, USPS, Fedex, and DHL instead of going to four different businesses. They always ask if you need a receipt and all my packages go to where they needed to go. Never a problem. You can also get passport photos, fingerprinting and personalized packing a shipping for a charge. read more

Really friendly and thorough. I came inn o a weekday morning to have my passport photo taken. I didn't catch the man's name, but he was really helpful and patient. He made sure I liked my passport photo before printing it out and went over all of the steps needed to process an expedited passport renewal. He even provided me with a prepaid label so I could just drop it at the post office when I had gathered all my docs. For folks still masking indoors, he was respectful of that and seemed to model the customer's behavior. Have a mask? He'll put his on. Don't have a mask? He'll take his off. Great to have such helpful services in the neighborhood, without the long lines. read more

This place is so convenient. You can literally drop off any of your USPS, UPS, Fedex return packages here!!! Just drop and go! Or wait around 20 seconds if you want a receipt. They provide packing tape, and clear window envelopes to enclose your sending info. WOW! The service is a hit or miss, but the last few times I've been here, they have been very polite and nice. Sometimes the wait can be a few minutes, depending on what service the person in front of you is getting done. But if the employees know they are working on a long order, and see that you're only dropping off a package, they'll ask you while helping the other customer. Grateful for that! read more

They are helpful and provide excellent service better than UPS! I came here to ship a package across country and the woman who helped me taped the box for me while I wrote the name and address of the person that I was sending the shipment to. The woman who helped me showed me each price of the shipment was for usps, ups and fedex and when the package would arrive. The people who work there are nice and helpful and there is no line compared to the post office, fedex and UPS who all had long lines before Christmas. Extremely rude customer service rep behind the counter. I had to drop off a prepaid package. The lady asked me step forward and place my package down. I asked for a receipt, she scoffs and says: "Can you wait?! I'm helping another customer." K. I wait and after she helps the other customer, she hands me the receipt and in the most sarcastic tone, wishes me to have a nice day. Then proceeds to THROW my package into the pile of packages. Bad service and the lady working there is lack of knowledge of digital work. I had to resend my picture to the department I was dealing with. She scanned my passport picture without checking the resolution of the picture. I solved my problem by copying the picture from my own phone and it works much better than hers. DO NOT DROP OFF PACKAGES HERE. I dropped off a package with a pre-paid Fedex Express 2-day shipping label here on 12/11 and today 12/15 tracking shows it still was never picked up and according to them they have no records of it and it basically "disappeared off the face of the earth". With a 2-day express label, it should have been delivered by now. They advised me to contact Fedex and I'll do that but I'm doubtful Fedex will help me since tracking never even shows a pickup scan so why would they assume liability. (Update: Fedex investigation person called me back saying they only picked up one package from this location for that day and it was not going to my destination zip and did not match the description of my package and their driver confirmed they did not generate another label for another package either so not an issue with my label... this package simply did not get picked up) So basically best case scenario, they lost it before Fedex came to pick up. Worst case scenario, someone stole my package seeing as it was a pre-paid label and I wouldn't have gotten a receipt or anything linking them to my package. Both scenarios means you should not trust this place with your package. They said some manager would contact me on 12/17/18 and if someone does and somehow fixes this for me (I'm not sure how unless they magically conjure up my missing package) I'll update this review. Until then, BEWARE of this place and go somewhere else. read more

I needed live scan fingerprinting and came here because it was cheaper than some other places. The lady was extremely rude. She was rushing me and getting very frustrated when I didn't do it right. I have arthritis in my hands and some fingers don't extend well and I told her this. She still got frustrated and even let out a sigh. I would rather have paid $10-15 more and gone somewhere else. Nice local family owned business that has a variety of services! Was able to get my Livescan completed here as well as take passport photos. Make sure you check in to Yelp for $2 off your passport photo ($13 total). Their Livescan rolling fee is $25 (this varies by location and is fairly cheap) + any other processing fees of your application. I had to pick up a UPS package her around 5:30 and was less than impressed with the speed of the employee. I understand this is a small business, and there was only one guy working and the line was maybe 3-4 people deep. But even though he could see that everyone was growing impatient, he still worked very slowly making a lot of small talk and flirting with the current customer and her 10 packages. He was also a bit rude or came off as such to the couple in front of me who were wondering why the yelp coupon is not accepted. He explained that he could not get into Yelp to change it himself (?), and that they could not use the discount. *SO IF YOU WANT TO USE THE YELP CHECK IN, IT WONT WORK AND THE PRICING HAS INCREASED* Finally he asked what everyone was here for, let me get my package and I was off. One stop shop to renew my passport. I got my picture taken here. The renewal form was filled out here. The staff double checked my form. They don't take credit card for the renewal but you can pay cash (plenty of atm machines around). I received my new passport in 4 weeks. Friendly service! read more

The worst customer service ever! The woman that they have working as the notary in the gray glasses was the rudest person I think I have come in contact with in a very long time. She had no time said please or think you was very demeaning and rude and I felt like I was inconveniencing her by giving her my business. If there is a 0 star, that should be my rate for this store! The woman worked here with glasses was sooo RUDE!!!!!!!!! I told her I need to scan and email the document to my phone. Then I also need to email them some other documents to print. She just didn't understand what I need and kept saying that why I don't just make copies in a really inpatient manner. When she saw me printing, she said " $1 per page" which sounded like I didn't have money to pay at all! I'm a traveling nurse and paid $95 for a tiny mailbox for 3 months. After almost a month of not receiving mail, we realized that UnionPostSF put my "middle name" as my "last name". The man at the desk obtained this information from my driver license and entered it into their computer wrong. My name was not only entered wrong, it was also misspelled and my old address was entered incorrectly too. The same man at the counter today never apologized or offered to correct the issue. He made me feel like it was my fault. I canceled my mailbox and got a full refund. I'd rather deal with the Post Office than this place. Parking is not easy either. read more

If you have a 9-5 schedule and you need to mail something to a P.O. box - you are pretty much out of luck in SF...Fedex, UPS and others dont send parcels to P.O. boxes... USPS does send packages to P.O. boxes but its offices have 9-5 schedule as well ...WHAT do you do? The answer is simple: You go to this spot which is open until 7 pm. Came for passport photos and used the check-in for $2off. Either the price on yelp hasn't been updated or the price varies person to person, because yelp says reg $12.99 and I was told $16. I'm not confrontational & it's not a huge deal for me. I'm expecting them to cost more as a middleman. If I wanted to save on the costs, I would use an app, have someone take my pic, and get a 4x6 printed to trim 6 selfies via CVS or Walgreens...and then walk that sh*t to the post office so as not be charged any more "exorbitant prices." My company uses this place for shipping sometimes and I find them awesome for offering an all-in-one service. And a fingerprinting service I know many of used... Admittedly we don't use them too much anymore and one time a coworker said she was definitely over-quoted shipping rates. Keeping it at 4 stars if you need somewhere quick and helpful, and don't mind knowing that's what you're paying for. If you do mind, FedEx is only 2 mins away by Chipotle and USPS half a block away. Not only it is very convenient, to keep my mailing address permanent, but also very reliable. I am very happy I entrusted all my correspondence to a business with professional staff and great owners. I have never had a single piece of mail or a package lost with Union Post, while it happens quite often with my apartment mailboxes or even work address. Possibility to send your accumulated mail from your mailbox to anywhere in the US based on your request comes handy when you do not have chance to stop by and pick it up yourself for a while.
