One of the two staff members here are actually friendly, I do appreciate that my postal business gets taken care of. Whether it's an address change request, get the accurate weight of your letters or packages for the exact postage and getting stamp booklets then USPS Fox Plaza is your one stop for this. Bonus points for: 1. Putting customers first, 2. Having the Self-Service Kiosk (Automated Postal Center) available, 3. Having a PO facility here at customers convenience.

    fits fairly large boxes

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to enter the bowels of the city. Deep in the heart of the 'Loin there is a secure , gated, stainless steel drop box, that was able to fit a prepaid-online, boxed pair of snowboard boots. Mission accomplished, no casualties, hypodermic needles, TB, hepatitis, bedbugs, or traffic tickets

Really smooth and easy. Got my stuff mailed out in less than 60 seconds, and the gentleman who helped me was super friendly.

Its quite a process to get into here. Show your drivers license, remove keys/phone, place items through scanner, walk through body scanner. Walk to the side to collect your items and put things back in your pockets. Take the elevator on left down to basement , there's a fed ex and ups drop off box near elevator . Follow the signs to the postal office. I can't speak for the post office itself but rating based on the experience to get there

I was appalled at their lack of everything: Communication skills, manners, common courtesy, common sense... I mean, I didn't expect much, but I really wasn't prepared for what I experienced. When you get there, they follow the same protocol as any airport TSA minus the boarding pass: (1) Show your ID (2) Empty your pockets and belongings onto a tray (3) Take off your shoes (4) Go through metal detectors Simple enough, but sadly there are no signs, they don't tell you anything and then they get upset when you look confused or dare I say it, ask a question. Mind you, all sorts of people come to this building so obviously, not everyone will get the hint the first time around. Luckily, for me I'm used to airports and since I saw others before me do what you're supposed to do, I figured it out. But here's what this prick asked me anyway as he took my ID: Prick: "Have you been here before?" Me: "No." Prick: "So do you know how things work?" Me (thinking, um...first time here jerk so sarcastically, I say): "Never been here, but I'm sure I got it." I was behind this poor older, Asian woman who seemed to understand English but obviously didn't speak it (or chose not to speak it). She was just doing the best she could and accidentally took in a baby nail clipper and got in trouble for it. Omg, what could she possibly do with a baby nail clipper?!!!! Then, while telling her to exit the building, this OTHER prick looked at me and assumed since I'm Asian, I must be with her. REALLY?! Not all Asians are related, jacka$$. My only regret? I should have stood up to their racist comments! After I made it through that Hell, I was told to take the elevator (that looks like a service elevator) all the way down to the basement. Then, you have to walk through a blue hallway where there's absolutely no signal or wifi and since it isn't busy, you find yourself walking by yourself. Once you get there, only one woman works the station. Although she handled things well, the system took almost half an hour to reboot! She's an honest woman so she didn't sugarcoat the truth, but at the same time I think she didn't have to be so forward. Fortunately for me, she reminded me of my crazy aunt so the exchange was quick and pleasant between us. Overall, if you could get past the punks at the front, you could pretty much handle anything else that comes your way. And if you want quick processing time (once the system works), she'll get it done.

I had a…read morepackage delivered here from a merchant free of cost and when I come informed that I have to pay $10 for them to release the package. This is a store policy and apparently an email is sent out. I have nothing and was forced to pay a fee to get my package. The issue here is NOT the fee. It's the disclosure around it or complete lack of that infuriates me as a consumer. I have a feeling this store intentionally does this without notifying the merchant or the consumer. This is a direct violation of SB478 in California. Update - I called another UPS store in town and this fee that this location charges is up to the store franchisee and their own policy. I just want to make sure others are aware of my experience. This store is definitely violating both SB478 and making revenue by deceiving consumers in this way. This isn't a normal practice across UPS stores.

I choose to mail most everything via USPS 'cause "if…read moreit fits, it ships" standardized prioritiy boxes are regularly the best deal AND I prefer to support our public services with hopes they'll stick around for future generations. That being said, UPS does a few things USPS doesn't: - AMZN returns - notaryVan Ness This particular location is on Van Ness one block off Market St near SFUSD, many large apt buildings full of WFH folks, City Hall (who are now required to be IRL), main muni lines. Don't ever walk in and be surprised if there is a line. Pick a store in a less populated area if you're going to complain about a line. Sheesh. I've frequeted many UPS across the city over the years, but this is the closest to my apartment, has *two* self-service AMZN return kiosks, and is definitely my most frequented. Thanks to the two kiosks, I never have to wait at this location to do my returns. Once I had a brain fart and was attempting to return a USPS package to the UPS kiosk... the UPS employee was helpful and kind in correcting my error. Recent visits with many returns have given me a chance to observe employee interactions -- they're always calm, kind, and patient, even when the customer is the exact opposite. I've not paid to ship anything here, and will point you to USPS for top value before exploring private options.

I gave him a document to notarize. He asked where the rest was. Omitting details for brevity, but I explained myself. He immediately escalated by asking why I was being difficult. I disagreed with the premise and pointed out that I was literally holding *all* papers out for him to grab. Instead of noticing and focusing on the actual task/service, he was more interested on "winning". I turned around and was bummed we didn't have an audience. Very similar things have happened in the past when I've asked simple questions and he just creates friction and unavoidable conflict. Hate to be an armchair psychologist but this delusional man - operating under the guise of charm - needlessly turns basic interactions (e.g. "just dropping off, where do I put this box?" or "hey can you help me with this label issue?") into degrading, gaslight-ey situations claiming the opposite of the the objective, visible truth while it is happening. Pattern behavior, not a one-off instance. Passable place if you don't need to interact? ‍
