Used this as UPS Access Point pickup and was met with extremely rude employee. The lady that works there is really nice so I feel bad writing this but her sub was a complete jerk. Walked in with ID and UPS door tag and dude was unwilling to even look for my package. Told me if no tracking # no package and to have a nice day. Shocked I said NO I paid for my package and I'm not leaving without it. I stood there for 5 mins digging through my email for a tracking # cuz fyi they have poor WiFi. Located the email and read the digits he needed. I've used other UPS access locations and none of them not even UPS store have been unable to locate a package using ID and door tag. I think the guy was just clueless and didn't know what to do so imposed a fake rule to make it harder to get my package. Maybe he was just lazy. Never using this location again for UPS access point, sheesh!! 0 stars! read more

Value has continued to decline. Service from Ana is still good. But the value provided compared to the regular price increases is not good. PROS - If you're in the neighborhood, it's nice to have a mailbox nearby that's not the USPS or UPS. - Main worker, Ana, is good. Can be grumpy, but does fine work and provides good service given her conditions. CONS - Only one worker basically at all times. So a line can form, which of course then gets blamed on the one worker. Where's the owner though? Maybe make be there more often during peak hours? - Fees only increase. What we get for those fees has not changed in years. Last service improvement was when they started to send emails when a package arrived. Cool. But that was several years ago. In six years, base price has doubled (outpacing inflation). We're now charged if we receive too many packages. And we're now charged if we don't pick up our package in three days or less. - Costs for additional items (tape, envelopes, etc.) too damn high. I'm going to assume that Ana is paid minimum wage and hasn't received a wage increase in years. read more

She was charging me more than what is stated on the DOJ's website and processing the forms differently from what is stated on the DOJ's website. When I asked her about it, she was extremely rude and told me she knew nothing about what the DOJ required; she just knew what she was told to do. I felt very uncomfortable processing my request here since she knows nothing about the DOJ's requirements. When I told her I did not want to continue, she got angry and rude. This is not the way to treat customers; she also needs to learn DOJ procedures if she is going to offer LiveScan services. I will never return here again. What a joke! read more

I do not understand the negative reviews. Excellent customer service. As far as having to pay for supplies such as tapes, make sure your package is secured using your own supplies at home. Even though I live around the corner, I rarely use this business. There is always some weirdness. Today I needed to ship my laptop back to my former employer. The two people in the shop watched me struggle at the door but, even though the place was otherwise empty, no one thought to open the door. There is little space to place a package because most of the shelves are blocked. Instead of walking to where I placed the box, the main woman made me take it to her, then jumped back like I was doing something wrong by placing a large box on the counter. The woman kept asking me if I needed a slip. I told her no every time but that never seemed to register with her. When I said $3 was a lot for tape, she lectured me that she doesn't set the rates and I shouldn't be so nasty. I simply said the price was high. I didn't attack or insult her, although she certainly gave me plenty of reasons to want too given how actively unhelpful she was. The other thing that stands out is how messy the place is. Everything looks disorganized. That was my last trip to A+. I don't need to be lectured or treated badly when I am simply trying to ship a package. read more

I hate to give anyone a negative review so I want to be clear: This review is NOT of the wonderful woman who works there who works so hard and is always so kind to everyone! She runs the place solely by herself and she is NOT the business owner....so I want to let her know how much I appreciate her kindness and efforts. She is EXTRAORDINARILY helpful - goes the extra mile every time she has helped me, and the owner is lucky to have such a stellar employee. So....I am writing this review with the hope that the OWNER sees it and can fix his problem that is frustrating the neighborhood customers who want to give him their business! The issue for me is that I would say a full 75% of the time that I've come here, they've been closed with a 'be back at such-and-such a time' kind of sign. I have been careful to look up their business hours to MAKE SURE that I'm understanding when they're open. I totally get that things happen - so I would expect this sporadically from a small business. The issue can be easily fixed: the owner should decide a lunch hour for his employee and then post that they close for lunch at that specific time. It's as simple as that. She is entitled to a peaceful lunch and I don't begrudge her one bit - but it's frustrating to show up to a closed door during 'business hours'. I was told today that lunch is specifically from 2:30 - 3:10 PM - but it was posted nowhere (that little clock they use has hands that change whenever they are 'out')....so....who knew?! Well, hopefully those reading this do now. Today I even looked up the hours first and then even tried to call because this has happened so many times that they're not open when they say they will be. No one answered the phone (because, as I later learned, the sole worker was at lunch)...so I guess it's on me that I took my chances thinking maybe she was just too busy to answer the phone. Repeated experience and frustration should have taught me not to count on this business to be open at the hours stated. I totally get that it's a hard time for small businesses and I completely support the very kind and helpful woman in her right to take an uninterrupted, peaceful lunch. I just want the owner to respect MY time as well as that of other customers who also waited perplexed, heavy boxes in hand (and more than a few got frustrated and just left)... I used this place a lot over the last 3 years. Now, there are new owners. At first they seemed fairly cooperative and helpful, if not really that knowledgeable. In my interaction today I found them unhelpful and actually ignorant of Post Office regulations. Then to top it off, the worker started saying rude things about me as I left the business. I had an envelope (which the worker insisted was a package) that I later mailed at the post office where it was not considered a package. In short, they are unprofessional and lacking in knowledge of the business they are in. I don't recommend them. read more

New owner. This used to be Mailboxes Etc, which I left a negative review, for a while. Difference in owners is night and day. The first time I met the new owner, I had a notarized letter. He saw only the cover letter and said that it wasn't the correct format. Then I showed him the *actual* notarized letter underneath, which was fine. Sharp eye. The second time was a disputed bill from FedX, from a shipment prepared by the previous owner. The new owner took the time to followup. And then he followed up again. The issue was quickly resolved. Yay! So, if you're thinking that A+ is the same old same old with a different name, it isn't. These folks are awesome! read more

Accepted credit card last time I went but this time was cash only. This store is a scam and the lady is so rude. I requested my package from staples to send it here and according to UPS they are an active ups access point. Hence, they accepted my package and held it. When I was about to pick it up, the lady keep saying we no longer accept packages unless you have a mailbox with us. 5+ Stars. Excellent/friendly customer service, knowledgeable staff and very efficient. I came in to have a live scan fingerprinting conducted for a new job. I called ahead and was told I could come in and be taken care of right away. The staff not only conducted the services I came in for, but went above and beyond by informing me of a way to expedite the results so I could receive and submit them quicker to my new employer (at NO extra cost), on top of that they made copies of my SS card and passport for FREE. All of this completed and paid for in less than 20 minutes! If you are in need of services provided by A+, don't hesitate to go elsewhere, they are the best in the city hands down. We went to the store to try to find an option/ solution to reproduce the cd's. The guy at the desk could reproduce 2. Don't go here, it's a waste of time. I've tried using services here three times - UPS drop off, notaries, and just printing a label. All three the owner had some excuse or reason why she couldn't scan my package, how the notary isn't here, how the printer doesn't work. There's nothing wrong with this package, I'm not asking for anything special, I'm not confused, I just want routine things they advertise that they do and for some reason they cannot do. i've been going to the San Francisco store for 2+ years. the staff there are all so friendly and helpful. whoever is working will always help me find whatever i need (i.e. best rates to send stuff out international or domestic). i've never had any errors with my packages sent out by A+ Mailboxes. the manager Dylan whom i correspond with via email is super responsive. he always replies within 1 hour (if not immediately!) to my questions/requests. a few times now he's helped me with various passport photos too and they've all turned out perfect. thanks so much! read more
