I have been using Security Public for about five years. The grounds and buildings are very clean and kept in good order. The staff is universally friendly and helpful. Sometimes they do run out of candy at the counter, but everything works. There is a continuity of staff members; in the time I have been there, the managers and other employees have not changed. Further, their prices are pretty stable. Some companies raise the price every six months, like Price Self-Storage in Orinda, whose prices increases are substantial, and always accompanied by the claim that there costs are increasing. There was a recent price increase at Security, but it was only three dollars. I would strongly recommend that you use Security Public Stoage. read more

I would definitely recommend this storage facility to anyone looking for an affordable secure storage unit in the San Pablo/ Richmond/ Hercules area! After checking out 5-6 facilities in the area I found out Public Security Storage had the lowest prices and great all around deals for all unit sizes. They had a lot of availability and the process was extremely fast and easy. Another reason I would definitely recommend them is because of their great staff and customer service. Each person I spoke too was very friendly and helpful they took their time with a smile to talk about all the great deals they offer both online and off. (Hi Richard from Hayward!) (and manager from Daly City!) read more

Ive stored my thingsjunkandstuff for years now at SPS in Pinole CA & in Richmond, CA. I would't consider storing elswhere mainly because 1.) They have THE FRIENDLIEST AND MOST HELPFUL onsight Managers & staff. But they also have the best security features. The Richmond location,by the Walgreens, on San Pablo Ave. has THE BEST prices ANYWHERE for strong, well made moving boxes and packing supplies: for SM, MED, and LG, I paid $1, $2, and $3 respectively. Tip: Ive found that using more of the small and medium boxes made the job way easier for everyone involved. The boxes from SPS are way better quality and held up much longer than the boxes I purchased from the local Home Depot. read more

A great place for storage if you are in the Richmond area. The facility is very secure and since it is a rather new facility, it has the latest in design and security technology. I have used the facility for a number of years. The managers are friendly, know what they are doing, offer a personal touch, and generally seem to look out for you. The present managers are the best so far. Throughout the years, I have used many storage facilities and this is the best I have found. Restrooms are available and clean. The site is well maintained and pleasant. A general flow of customers give 'life' to the place. (this is important because some storage places are a little isolated). read more

Wow, what incredible employees we met at Security PS! We all know that moving is not easy, especially when you use a "trusted" nationwide moving services company to help facilitate a cross country move. Meeting Renee and Felix was a reminder that in times of great need, a well-known company cannot match the smaller companies who show great empathy and heart. We were in a bind and Renee jumped in to provide an option that we took her up on and are forever grateful! I would HIGHLY recommend this company for your storage needs! read more

Hi my name is Delvon M. I have been renting storage space with "security storage" for quite sometime. They are very good we'll kept and also have very good customer service! I'm happy to let all those concerned in this matter know how my experience has been. I shopped around before coming to security storage and I have seen some very sad storage space! Some spaces didn't even have lighting! With that being said woohoo for "security storage" !! Thank you to all their staff and may our future hold more options for discounts! read more

I have rented storage units during a time when the management of this facility changed three times. All of the couples that have worked there have been really nice and helpful. The facility is also very secure and clean. I would recommend it highly to anyone. I have even done so for my family members. As a matter of fact, I first became aware of the facility from a family member. In these times, price is also a factor for most things. The prices can not be beat, even though you can not put a price on peace of mind. read more

This is my second time using this facility.. Both times I have chosen units that open directly to the outside, which makes it easier for me to move around. This facility has a great location right off of San Pablo Avenue and Richmond Parkway It's also good to have the signal lights right there so you know you can get safely in & out of the property. Management does there best to help you analyze your needs. Sure hope we can find a place to live soon. It will seem like our belongings are brand new treasures! read more

I have used the facility longer than I have planned for all my storage needs. I have compared places yet I chose to stay with this facility 'cause of what I see as very important is the security and cleanliness that the place really offers to its customers. Also, management has never failed to be very helpful and accomodating in their efforts to provide a superb service and never failed to be efficient in their management. I will always use this facility in the future when it comes to a safe and secured storage needs. read more

This is what self storage should be, secure, clean and competitive. SPS is not the cheapest storage facility in the area but you get what you pay for. Outstanding customer service is what stands out the most. Muskie the manager was very knowledgeable, he helps you choose the best size space for you based on all your stuff and how often you will be coming in and out of the space. Never thought about that! Thanks for all your help!. read more

Great location! The staff is wonderful and the facility is clean. The staff goes above and beyond to see that everything is running smoothly. We have rented both short-term and long-term and have been totally satisfied with all aspects of the experience, especially the helpfulness in choosing just the right unit and maintaining the monthly routine. We have been happy that we chose storage at the Security Public Storage. read more

First storage place I walk into and you immediately feel very welcomed. I was only there to get some information and what I really liked was that they were not trying to sell me anything before getting to know what they are about. Very helpful and friendly staff.
