We recently moved storage locations to here and I couldn't be happier. The prices are great and so is the location. I appreciate the hours in which I have access too...6am-8pm. You wouldn't normally think of a storage facility as a "personal" relationship, but given that we entrust our most personal items to a storage facility, perhaps we should. There is a " not so hidden jewel" of a storage facility located just off the Cutting off-ramp of the I-580 in Pt. Richmond, California. Run by a married couple, Stephen & Julie, worthy of a YELP review themselves, "Interstate Storage" is an immaculately clean facility with a battery of security measures throughout. We store our Airstream there, a valuable vintage homage to the original design, not the kind of property you would leave to just anyone. And we aren't the only customers who feel that way as witnessed by a veritable fleet of RVs, boats, and motorbikes, the later of which are mobile homes priced in the low 100,000s to the mid 300,000s. This facility is gi-norms! But despite it's size, service is delivered with a warmth and sincerity largely missing in the business today. For example, when I went in for spinal surgery earlier this year, Julie and Stephen sent me a get-well card. Here I was, a near complete stranger, and they none-the-less treated me like my business meant something. While I can't say you will receive the same incredible attention we experience every time we enter the facility, I believe you will feel likewise grateful and authentic attention whenever you call in or walk in and meet Julie or Stephen. I am proud to highly recommend interstate Storage for all your short term thru longhorn storage needs. You'd be foolish to entrust either. your possessions or your hard earned money to anyone else. Whether you are storing the contents of a loft, or that of a five bedroom home, this very affordable facility will allow you the piece of mind lost when storing with the strip-mall, less secure places. Great Facility. It is so clean. It is very large. There seems to be alot of RV and Boat parking, but we used the mini storage. It is very secure and the units have nice rollup doors. The staff was great too. read more

Kurt & Paula are amazing!! I park my diesel truck here for storage purposes & I must say it's the best experience storing anything that I've ever had!!! Storage facility is clean,neat and professionally ran. There have been occasions where I have left on my lights or had severe mechanical issues I been on 1 occasion locked my keys in the truck & Super Kurt came to the rescue!! Kurt and Paula went over and above to call me and give me as well as the company I drive for a heads up!! If you need to store belongings, RV's-trucks, or cars I highly recommend this storage facility!! A+ service read more

This place is great! The people are nice and the facility is clean. We never had any problems in the 3 years we stored our stuff there.

Clean facility, high priced, they raise our rent each year. Not the most professional staff. Very secure, but, don't lose your key, they say to have an alternate person on your lease but this alternate is useless if u need them to access your storage for you. read more

I have two units here so I can honestly give 10 stars! The facility is totally secure with on-site, full-time managers. Every inch of the grounds is neat and clean, and the interior halls are spotless. It's safe and clean enough to live in, but they won't let me. The managers are all cheerful, helpful, and well trained. And for all of this excellent service, the fees are the best that I could find. I've kept my things at Interstate Storage for years, and have convinced friends to re-locate here. read more

I've had a unit here for two years. I give an overall high rating because of their stellar on-site managers Steve and Julie. When I first rented the unit, the website listed my rental as 7'x9', but when I tried to fit my 8' wide plywood panels inside what I should have been 9 feet, it didn't work. Since this was all that was available within my budget, and we had to store the massive load that day, I was very disgruntled by what I found to be misleading information. Steve, the facilities manager, came around and gave an accurate measurement of the unit..barely an inch over 8 feet rather than 9 feet. He was extremely apologetic on his employer's behalf, and set about to help us make it work somehow, and move it all in anyway. For the next 5 hours, he created lifts and a type of shelving within the unit that allowed the panels to fit inside, helped us lift and negotiate massive, heavy pieces of wood through the corridor and into the unit, made broken pallets work with their lifts, created an impromptu lumber-moving cart out of a standard dolly. He stayed with us after hours into the cold January night to get it all moved in. Far beyond the call of duty! Last year, we had to move stuff out again for a project and Steven helped us again for 4 hours, inventing a cardboard device to help us slide heavy objects over the truck floor. I'm overseas a lot, and occasionally have issues with my bank disabling access to my credit card while I'm away..Julie has always let me know and given me a few days to sort it out from abroad. They are always personable and very helpful; it ends up feeling like hosts in a great restaurant than a storage facility! The facility is spotless inside and out , there are car/truckwashing facilities on-site. It feels very secure and is easy to access from the freeway. Bring a tape measure to verify the unit size if you need specific dimensions, but other than that, I recommend it for sure! So, while I withhold a star from the overall company rating, because the unit I rent was advertised (and priced) at nearly a foot over the actual size, this is balanced out by the beyond-5 star rating I give their management (and the well-maintained facilities). read more

I have used many storage facilities in Los Angeles and Berkeley. None of them have been as good or clean as Interstate Storage. I can't say enough good things about the manager, Julie - she is a jewel. She is always thoughtful and helpful, regarding size, move-in and move-out details, etc. And you always feel she knows what is going on - you'll feel safe. This place has a car-wash, air and water hoses, and a bathroom you can use. Don't bother with the other storage facilities - this one is the best!! read more
