Kids loved the Buffalo Chicken Balls and Shepard's Pie Egg rolls. Thai chili wings were large and juicy. 2 of the 5 took home leftovers as the portions were good sized. We went there for lunch today. Very nice place, the bar was full but it looked like a good place to hang out, lots of TVs. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich & he got the Reuben. He said the Reuben was "fine" which is his highest compliment (lol). The meat was tender and moist. My pulled pork was delicious. I especially like the fried onions on it. Gave it a nice zing and crunch. The menu is eclectic enough for me to know I'll be coming back to try more. It was also a pleasant surprise to see Jeannie, the owner, from back in our Billy's days. Stopped in on our way to VT and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, drinks were delicious, and the staff was very friendly. We had the meatballs, brussel sprouts, and buffalo chicken balls for appetizers. They were all amazing. We also had a burger, a sandwich, and a salad. Very good! Would highly recommend. read more

Absolutely amazing! I got a gift card to this restaurant and decided to go tonight! The bar area is great and the bartenders were so friendly. I had an espresso martini and it was just perfect. Some frequent flyers next to me at the bar recommended the "brook bomb" which happened to be the best steak and cheese I've ever had (mushroom, peppers, onions, mayo). My boyfriend got the Rueben which he loved too. Usually when restaurants say the side is chips, I feel disappointed BUT the homemade chips were addicting. All in all, I cannot recommend this establishment enough if you're in the area! I am looking forward to going back. read more

I spent years in the restaurant business and am known for being very picky and hard on restaurants. This is a must stop by! I had vegetable pasta without the pasta and added grilled chicken. Wow! Discovered this place by looking on yelp 5 out of 5 stars and indeed they are! We did take out that included an appetizer and two entrées. One was a daily special and I also got an extra cup of clam chowder. Probably the best clam chowder I've ever had in my life! Tasty not super heavy creamy large amount of big pieces of clam superb! Food was hot delicious tender very flavorful. The rice has vegetables in it and it was so good! Give this place a try I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed! read more

The second Brook grill does not look impressive on the outside but the food is amazingly good and it's clean and new on the inside. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality of food. Everything that we ordered was very delicious and I highly recommend this place. Even though it's a bar and grill, the quality of food is closer to a high end bistro. read more

Visited for lunch on a weekend. We sat at the bar and ordered a Brook bomb and buffalo chicken tenders. The Brook bomb came on toasted garlic bread and tasted great with BBQ sauce. The buffalo tenders were made with quality chicken and had a hint of sweetness in the buffalo sauce. We will be back to check out the coconut chicken! read more

This place is great. There is a open dinning area with tables, booths, high tops, even cushy seating at tables and a sectional couch. There is a fairly large bar that is visible from the dinning room while still being separate. We had some appetizers, with a couple meals. Fried pickles, you don't get a lot or at least we didn't it seemed like one sliced full pickle. But the batter and sauce were fantastic. They have shoppers bites "I think that's what they were called". If you like Sheppard Pie you will love this. Thin fried dough with all the mixing inside. Our 8 yr old had Mac & cheese which was creamy and delicious. Last item was a BLT, fresh thick bread, bacon cooked just right for a little crush, tasted great. I didn't give it a 5 because like most places they seemed to be out of items we wanted, and short of staff. COVID has really changed the restaurant industry. Went with hubby and two friends a couple of weeks ago . Wanted to sit in the bar but they didn't really have table seats .. just bar seats and comfy couches . I didn't want to have dinner on a couch so we opted for a table in the dining room . I have to say the service was awesome . Very attentive waitstaff ! Had Buffalo chic balls and Sheppard rolls. The chicken balls were just ok , but the Sheppard rolls were terrific . Tasted just like sheppards pie . I had a southwest salad , was tasty but too big . My friend had a coconut chic sandwich and she liked it. The guys had a special and I think it was ribs . My friend and I were busy chatting so I didn't pay much attention to what the guys ate. The Sheppard rolls were the best part ...Delicious. Next time I will try the pot pie! read more

We have heard great things about this place over the past few months so decided to give it a try last night. Was a little hesitant when we pulled in parking lot was full and restaurant looked pretty small but we decided to see how long the wait was anyway. Hostess said it would be just 15 minutes and offered us a seat in the bar area while we waited so that we could get a drink and appetizer. Less than 5 minutes and they offered us a seat at the bar for dinner which was fine with us. The food was excellent. Salad was probably one of the freshest I've ever had while dining out. I visited this new spot on Saturday for lunch. The tables are super far apart which is great for Covid. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie . It was very tasty. I am eating the other half of it now because the portions are quite large. This is just down the street from my house - I will certainly be back. read more

Guess what I'm doing Sat? Not going to Second Brook! Why? We have been there four times. I had the same meal every time. Same with the wife. First time I had baked Haddock/baked pot/grilled asparagus. Second time the same. The food was awesome, as good as mine at home. Service was awesome. Third time is when the fail started. Got baked Haddock, baked Pot, no asparagus. Not a supply chain issue. Just saw tons in the supermarket and bought some. So I get a salad instead. No good answer for the outage. Forth time: Baked Haddock, (they had no baked pot) no (asparagus). If you want carrot/peas melody you can have that. No thanks. Broccoli? nope! Beyond me why menus change. I am a creature of habit. Every Sat it's a $40-80 tab for us somewhere. No one gets my cash this Sat. It's baked haddock, baked pot, (asparagus, from whole foods) salad. I would be at second brook if I knew it would all come together as they are a good restaurant. Also noticed on the web page all employee's are vaxed? What's up with that. The staff was very rude the sever we had acted inconvenienced to serve us and we had to wait over a hour for our food which was cold when we did receive it!! When we ask to talk to a manager she was too busy to even come to our table! She was to busy spending all her time at the bar socializing instead of doing her JOB! The Food was cold and dry. My friends and I tried Second Brook today for the first time and our experience was excellent! We were cheerfully greeted and quickly seated by our waitress. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is very clean which we really appreciated. The owner came over to the table to introduce herself and to tell us about a weekly raffle. Our waitress, Andrea, was very attentive and helpful. The menu was diverse with appetizers, soup, salad, entrees and sandwiches. I ate a BLT which was freshly made, the toast was perfectly cooked and the lettuce was nice and crisp. The side of fries was excellent, with a nice crisp outside. My friends were very happy with their food as well. All in all this was an excellent experience. Having grown up in Manchester I especially appreciated the local touches. We tried several times to get a table over the past few months but there was always a considerable wait time. Finally got lucky a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. The service was excellent. Rebecca was so friendly and attentive. Kim, the manager stopped by to welcome us and check on how the food was. Our choices were the blackened mahi over a very fresh salad. The greens were so good. The mahi was perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. I chose the chili. Excellent. We returned last evening and although the grille was down, unfortunate as we were in the mood for burgers and steaks, we opted for the broiled haddock. Very good choice. Only complaint we would have is that the mashed potatoes and butternut squash were lukewarm but very tasty. I am sure Andrea our server would have fixed that but we didn't even mention it. Was not a big deal really. Andrea was also very attentive and pleasant. Definitely enjoy this place and look forward to becoming regulars. Decent wine selection too. We love this new restaurant! The food is so incredibly good! I refer to it as down home cooking with a flair. The staff is top notch and they always have a smile on their face!
