Opted for the wine upgrade and a lovely white cosmo. Wing order minimum was 4 per flavor, so we went buffalo garlic parm, buffalo honey mustard, and dry rub Caribbean jerk. The wings were cooked perfectly, on the crispy side like we like. All flavors were good but I loved the jerk dry rub. And dipped in the homemade ranch... COME ON. Lest we forget the staff - service was superb. Ladies behind the bar were absolutely lovely, patrons were also a great crowd, and the bar stools were dreamy. It's located in a little business section off the main road. We were at the eye place and decided to go there for dinner. BOY AM I GLAD WE DID! We got the chicken sliders to start - omg. Heaven. Lightly fried tenders on small brioche buns with perfect toppings. There were 3 of them standing tall on the tray, hot and delicious. We got an order of the mac n cheese to share - again, pure perfection. Homemade with the right hints of smoked Gouda, cream and topped with crumbs. I got the bourbon steak tips with mashed and asparagus done medium. If I could go back every week I would. The only down side is this place is in NH and we live in RI. That and the seats aren't comfortable at all. That's my only con. Food wise there are none. Zip. Zilch. The staff was nice and attentive without being overly so. Oh oh wait. Ok one other con. We went to Granite Tapas recently and were very impressed with the food. Very well prepared, creative and delicious! The drinks were good, but a little light on the pour considering the prices. Overall, it was a good experience, but we were somewhat disappointed when we got our bill. Everything was marked up by 3% if we used a credit card. Supposedly, this is in small print on the menu, but we failed to notice. I can't think of another restaurant that does this in the area and we go out to eat 4-5 times a week. I like when a place serves good food, garners a good ambiance and provides excellent service. Even more, I admire when a business venue provides a service to the community. We came to Granite Tapas from 40 miles away to enjoy a buffet breakfast and wonderful cocktails and mimosas to benefit the Rotary Club's Backpacks for Kids initiative in the Hookset/Manchester area. In great part because of this venue, the Hookset Rotary Club is able to procure and assemble over 3,000 colorful backpacks, with notebooks, rulers, calculators, large pencil cases bulging with more items like sharpeners, erasers, pens and more. These are distributed primarily to Hookset and Manchester students, but also the Upper Room, The Division for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Salvation Army, The Way Home, NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire and more. Having said that, we had a blast at the brunch. The Mimosas flowed quite freely and the buffet station was splendid. The atmosphere was festive and joyful. Both Rotary members and the restaurant staff gave their all to make sure that needy children are taken care of in the upcoming school year. read more

well it has two entrances, in the front and in the upstairs back which is where it really is, quite a few open rooms around and a central bar area, seems very popular with locals which is often a good thing, service was very pleasant and drinks were very good, pretty extensive list of house drinks, my wife certainly enjoyed the cucumber and bubble, food was great and plentiful, fried pickles, the specialty salty caramel chicken tenders and a meat and cheese board. It was a Monday after Easter so it was very quiet. Food was enjoyable. Had the fried green beans, Gouda stuffed potato skins, steak and caramelized onion egg rolls and crab cakes. This place could have been 5 stars, except for a few things... we ordered fish tacos, which were supposed to come with slaw, red onions, and avocado crema. As you can see in the photo, it was fish on top of tomato and lettuce, with avocado. No dressing, no lemon or lime juice. Unfortunately the result was dry and flavorless. I did mention it to the waitress, who was a sweetheart, but she read the menu description back to me and said that's what I'd gotten. None of what was on the plate matched the menu description, but she was so nice we just left it at that. The star of our meal was the crab cakes- fresh, flavorful, and perfectly textured. The thick, sweet sauce on top wasn't really necessary because the crab cake was perfection. The cauliflower was really tasty, and aside from crushed butterfinger, dessert was nice too. read more

Upon entering, you can't tell who works there and who does not, bartenders, servers, food runners all wearing random clothing so it's difficult to know where to go. who to speak with. However, I cannot stress enough how friendly Everyone was. There didn't seem to be much organization and collaboration happening at least not on the night we were there. - Ambiance a 4 cozy - Service a 2 extremely slow took 30 minutes for a drink 10 more to order food another 20 to get the food. - Food a 3 it looks great but taste a bit less than average. - Cocktail menu a 4 taste a 3 no garnishes and not very blended It seems like a place that has a lot of regulars. Do not go here. I never write reviews but just had the worst $100 meal of my life. It was busy when we first showed up and seemed like only 1 waitress. Which was fine, drinks came out slow and my can of beer was delivered well after the cocktail my lady ordered. No problem it's busy and whatnot. We ordered bacon fries as an app when we ordered our 1st rd of drinks. Once we finished the 1st rd of drinks we ordered scallops and fish tacos since we were an hour in and have only gotten a single drink. 1hr+ into it, the place is clearing out and it's no longer busy. Scallops and 2nd rd of drinks are delivered. 10ish mins later the fish tacos are sent. We finish those and the waitress asks if we still want the bacon fries. I say no thanks at this point just the check and the waitress says she'll cancel the order. Waitress returns with the bill and cheese fries after 2 hrs from when we ordered them. I am not exaggerating with the time frame, we arrived at 730pm and left at about 945pm. Bill included fries order, okay whatever. Once the credit card was placed on the bill, it was taken immediately and returned in no time. The best service came to get us outta there. Ive always wanted to return to this place after having a great experience back in 2019. Sadly, a free meal wouldn't get me to return at this point. Food: Scallops were good enough, but the fish tacos were sub par. At $5 a taco(3) I would expect more fish in them and they were dry AF(go to california burrito or CJ's for a fish taco). They ran out of mashed potatoes, the tips were medium well instead of medium rare. A new tapas bar is now open in Hooksett! Located at the Granite Hill Business Center, Granite Tapas & Cocktail Lounge opened on Monday serving up a variety of small plates and cocktails in an old world intimate rustic setting with a New Hampshire feel. The main dining/bar area has tables, high top tables and seating up at the bar featuring beer, wine, and signature mixed drinks. There's also a flat screen TV mounted behind the bar. There are also two private rooms for parties of 8-10 including one room with all soft comfy armchairs. As for the food offerings, they are featuring 15 items to choose with Italian, Asian, New England, and Southern style food creations, which will change on a weekly and daily basis. They want to see how the sales for each item does and keep the popular items on next week's menu and change up the items that are less popular. The price range for each small plate is $8-$17. On my recent visit, they were offering plates such as New England Lobster Mac & Cheese, Salted Caramel Wings, Steak or Grilled Chicken Tacos, Chicken & Lemongrass Potstickers, Pan Seared Scallops, Daily Flatbread Pizza (Steak & Cheese), Shrimp Cocktail, Grilled Romaine Hearts, French Onion Soup, Homemade Stuffed Meatballs and others. I chose 3 items including Asian Nachos ($14), Chili & Cornbread Pot Pies ($8), Slider Burger Trio ($15) and an ice water with lemon in a glass jar to sip on. Each item was served one at a time. The Asian Nachos consisted on fried crispy wonton chips, topped with pan seared ahi tuna, marinated cucumber, watermelon radish slaw, pickled ginger, and wasabi cream. Next, the Chili & Cornbread Pot Pie was served very hot in a square cast iron dish on top of a cut tree trunk, which consisted of a hearty sweet mix of ground beef, kidney beans, black beans, white beans, onions, & peppers topped with sweet cornbread crumbles, sour cream, and friend jalapenos. Finally, the Slider Burger Trio consisted of 3 different burger sliders each with a thick ground beef patty on a toasted bun, including a cowboy slider with onion ring, creamy ranch dressing & bbq sauce, a fried lobster legs (deep fried breaded) & aioli slider, and a slider topped with grilled ripe tomatoes, fresh spinach, melted cheese, & balsamic vinaigrette drizzle. I passed on the offer for dessert ($8 each) including marbled crème brulee, lemon raspberry cheesecake, 4 layer chocolate peanut butter brownie explosion. Overall, the food I had was very good and nicely presented, but on the high priced side, though prices in line with other tapas places in the area. The Asian Nachos with the ahi tuna and accompaniments had nice fresh flavors on the crispy wonton skins. This version was pretty decent, though I've really enjoyed a few other versions of Asian Nachos including my favorite Asian "Short Rib"Nachos ($12-generous size) at Mint Bistro in Manchester. Chef Tom Puskarich introduced fantastic Asian Nachos to the local dining scene 10 years ago when he operated the former Z Food & Drink in Manchester, who now operates Restoration Cafe. The Chili & Cornbread Pot Pie was excellent, a very nice take on a classic Southern American comfort dish, sooo good! The sliders on special were very messy to eat, though very tasty. The service here was prompt, each item served one at a time. The check with tax & before tip came out to $40.33 for three plates. In all, Granite Tapas & Cocktail Lounge is a good welcome addition to the local dining options, surrounded by mostly pizza shops, casual American restaurants and chain restaurants. My boyfriend and I recently moved to the area and decided to try out Granite Tapas & Cocktail Lounge. As there are no other restaurants like this in Hooksett I was excited to go. The food was good, but nothing special. If my review was based on food alone I would have given 3 stars. The issue was how our dining experience was handled by the owner/management (Jamie and Matt). We went on a Saturday evening around 6:00. It was busy, but not at full capacity. We were seated right away with no wait time (I would rather be given a wait time if the restaurant can't handle the volume). The server greeted us, took our drink order, and asked if we would be eating tonight. We told her yes and ordered a dish from the tapas menus as an appetizer informing her we would be ordering an entree later as well. The drinks were ok, again nothing special. About 15 minutes later the server came by and asked us if we would like to put in our entree as the restaurant had gotten busy and she didn't want us to wait a long time. We said thanks for letting us know and put in our order. We still had not received our appetizer. About 15 minutes later an employee brought me my dinner. Shortly after, our server realized that we had not received our appetizer yet and my boyfriend did not have his meal either. At this point she offered to take the appetizer off the bill and still bring it out or pack it Togo for us. We politely declined saying would just take our entrees. She came back with the appetizer a few minutes later and asked if we were sure we didn't want it because it was ready. We said sure because it was already at our table. My boyfriend had still not received his meal. She said his meal was being plated and would be out very soon. About 10 minutes later our server came to our table with my boyfriends meal. She said that someone else said they brought to us. I would like to say that I understand tapas restaurants serve food as it is prepared. However, we did not only order tapas. We ordered entrees. If we had ordered strictly tapas items I would not have expected to receive our meals at the same time. When we received our check the appetizer (tapas plate) was still on our bill. We asked our server about it and she told us that the manager said because we ate it we needed to pay for it. Paying for it would have been fine if we haven't been told that it would be taken off to remedy the situation. We gave her payment and when she returned she took it off the check but told us that it may come out of her earnings for the night. That is not ok with me. We tipped her 20 percent plus the amount of the appetizer. We were polite throughout our interactions and the poor girl was shaking. This shows me that the management at this restaurant is very poor. My boyfriend and I had discussed the bad experience while we waited but we were impressed that they handled it well and agreed to try again on a slower night. It is obvious now that the only person who has any customer service is the server. After the way it was truly handled by management we will never be back. The manager did not come talk to us once. If they were not the only restaurant like this in Hooksett I wholeheartedly believe they would be out of business. read more

First time back here since COVID. Food is always good as is the service. COVID guidelines, if they have any, appear non-existent. Bar is open and fully seated, no social distancing between any of them. My concern is not with them as much as it is with the bartender who is within short distance and making drinks with her mask down. Just about everybody walking in is without a mask. Owner/Chef is also walking around, delivering meals, no mask. Not a germaphobe, but with cases rising, more care needs to be observed. Won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

Every year for the last 5 or so years, the day after Thanksgiving, my brothers, sis-in-laws and I try to do an outing together. We don't see one another a lot during the year because I've lived away from NH for quite some time. After searching for places open past 10pm (which is mind-boggling that is so difficult to find now post-pandemic), my sis-in-law suggested Granite Tapas for food and drinks. Well, I felt compelled to write a review because for someone who considers herself a foodie (and a vegan at that), their service and dishes were on point! First of all, they seated us in a private room set off to the side of the establishment, so it felt like we were just comfortably hanging out in someone's living room. The drinks were stellar. The fried zucchini bites were tasteful and crispy (not mushy), the steak fries that I asked to be well done, were perfect, the chili cauliflower was poppin', and the pretzel/mustard combination was a flavor explosion. I regretfully forget our waitress' name, but she was a joy, and even stayed a bit later to accommodate last minute drink orders. What a great hidden gem in Hooksett! We live just down the road and were curious about checking out Granite Tapas thanks to all of the good reviews. We went there on a Monday night on a whim for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. There's a big beautiful bar with several local craft beers on tap as well as a diverse cocktail list. My boyfriend and I ordered the calamari and lobster Rangoon to share. Because most of their menu consists of tapas options, it's great for ordering several tasty options and sharing. Both tapas were super tasty! Calamari was a good portion and perfectly fried along with some hot cherry peppers. The lobster Rangoon came with four, which may not sound like a lot, but they were super rich and decadent. We also got dessert (caramel apple pie and lemon blueberry cheesecake) to top things off. We actually enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much we went back tonight. Place was bustling because it was wing Wednesday. The wings are AMAZING (so crispy and perfectly cooked) and come in several tasty, creative flavors (salted caramel was surprisingly delicious). Went here last night with a friend, and we are still talking about our experience. I called on Thursday evening with regards to making a reservation for Friday night, knowing that it would likely be busy. The woman who answered the phone took down my name and number, and we set up a reservation for 6 o'clock. When I plugged the address into my GPS on Friday, I saw I was going to arrive late because of traffic, so as a courtesy, I called and asked if 6:15 would be a problem. I gave my name, and they indicated that I didn't even have a reservation, but that it should be fine, to come on in. With everything that followed, we perhaps should've took that as a sign. We were seated within five minutes of arriving, so that was great! We were given menus, and after about 15 minutes the waitress came back to take our order. When she did, we were told that one of the drinks that we were looking at on the menu, and the entrée that I wanted, a veggie burger, was not available. We asked for a couple minutes more to reconsider, and she came back 15 minutes later. Now we've been there for a half an hour, and haven't even ordered. Finally placed our order, and the appetizers came out in about 10 minutes. The cauliflower was absolutely delicious. That is the only reason they are getting two stars. Honestly, I would give it a five, but the worst restaurant service either of us have ever received, deducted stars. I am not generally one to complain, I have chosen not to send substandard food back at other places in the past, but I am hoping they can value constructive criticism. We finished our appetizers, and continued chatting and catching up, and after about 20 minutes, we started wondering where our food is. We flagged the waitress down, and she said she was going to check on it. She came back 15 minutes later (sensing a time pattern here) and told us that "something happened with the order", she indicated she knew what I ordered, but couldn't remember what my friend ordered, so clearly our orders weren't even being prepared. She said she would get it right in. We weren't in a hurry, so it wasn't a huge deal at that point, and we ordered second drinks. Mine came out right away, hers we had to ask for a second time. An additional 30 minutes went by, and in the meantime our waitress walked by no less than eight times, and wouldn't even make eye contact with us. I finally flagged her down and asked if she could let us know what was happening with our meals. She said she would come back and let us know. In about five minutes, the macaroni and cheese that I ordered came out, and she told my friend that her fish tacos were going to be coming out soon. I did not start eating my meal as I wanted to wait for my friend, assuming her meal would be out as promised. Starting to eat without her felt rude. My mistake, by the time her fish tacos came out, my macaroni and cheese was luke warm, and congealed. I went to bite into it, and it contained steak, even though I did not order it with steak! I picked all the meat out. The waitress swung back by and asked if there was a problem, and I let her know that it was not the dish that I ordered. At this point, the wait time had been so absurd, I didn't want to order a new dish. She told me she would comp it. Honestly, if anybody's meal should have been comped, it should have been my friend's because she waited well over an hour for her food. While all of this waiting was happening, on 5 occasions, different wait staff came up to our table and tried giving us other people's food and drinks, clearly mixing up tables. It was almost comical to us. We finally ate. A very nice gentleman walked by and asked if we had ordered deconstructed cannoli. We indicated that we have not, but jokingly said we would be glad to take it off his hands. He had seen us waiting for such a long time, that he offered to bring us back a dessert to share, and that it would be "on him". We were appreciative of this. We got there around 6:15 and were intending to leave by about 8:30 because my friend had to work the next morning. The whole meal ended at 10:15. FOUR HOURS later! The worst part was, even with one meal deducted, and the free dessert, our bill was still $78. I ended up paying $55, because I offered to get one of my friend's drinks for being the one to choose a place with terrible service, and she ended up paying the remaining. I'm unhappy that I spent quite a bit on a meal that was luke warm, incorrect, and very delayed. I would've happily paid for the drinks and the cauliflower, but I don't feel we should have been charged for either meal. A manager was not available to speak to. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant, which is really unfortunate, because the appetizer and dessert that we had actually was quite good and the atmosphere was really nice. read more

The ambiance, then the lighting, and the comfortable bar stools are all right on point. Friday night they had live music, the kitchen was open later than most and the cocktails were a 12/10. The bartender was heading out and the owners graciously offered for us to stay and not rush out. Above and beyond. Cross your fingers you have the pleasure of meeting Nancy behind the bar. This evening I went back and we definitely got there earlier but it wasn't busy uncomfortably busy. We enjoyed some drinks, tried different snacks and absolutely nothing disappointed. Lettuce wraps? Divine. Prosciutto wrapped mozzarella? Stellar. Chicken tacos? So flavorful. Not living in the area but enjoying two visits in four days is really saying something. Keep up the amazing work! Worst place ever. After an hour we final had an incorrectly me drinks and a $20 cheese plate that was pre sliced cheese like you get at Shaws. Bartender was rude. Tipped the sweet waitress and paid 40 bucks for 3 bad drinks. Cancelled remaining order returned cheese plate and went to another restaurant read more
