Food was exceptional. Reason being the dish was delicious, flavorful, tasty. Service was quick. But could have been more pleasant when greeting customers.Ambiance was clean and more like a bar/ grill feel. Liked the decor. I have a pretty picky partner when it comes to any kind of food. His dish was a simple club. A huge sandwich and the fries were one of the best we have had. Price, portion, and tasty fit all our needs. We had a coke and ice tea(Unsweetened). My dish was Mac- N-Chz with bbq pulled pork. Yum. Huge bowl. Ate I thought would be half but ended up bringing home for dinner next day. Meat tender and melt in your mouth with the slightly salty/ sweet/ slight kick bbq sauce on top of this creamy Mac-n-chz noodles. Not a strong chz flavor though. But paired well with the tang of the bbq sauce. We will be back. Place was not crowded on a Tuesday around 4pm. Easier parking in the back. read more

My wife and I went to dinner for a rare date night. I had the turf and turf with cole slaw, the slaw was the best I have ever had the portion of there famous tenders and steak tips was perfect!! I ended taking some home and asked for a side of slaw to go! My beautiful bride had the ceaser wrap and it was huge she was able to eat half of it! I had the rest for lunch the next day! Price point I thought was great we both had 2 drinks, we got 2 entrees and got a burger to go for our son, in which he devoured in a matter of mins! All in all came out to to be $90. In my eyes that's great pricing! They had a great band playing and everyone there at the time was so welcoming and happy to be there. The waitstaff, bartender and cooks were incredible! I love it when I walk in and see Amberleigh and Kara. They are both so welcoming and they make everyone feel at home. When I know they are working, I go. We had the Chili which is amazing. We are local to Goffstown and we enjoy the Tressle as our go to destination! The staff is warm and welcoming and the food is reliably good! If I am having a craving for something particular the cook ( Cliff ) makes every effort to accommodate me! I love the level of service and the community atmosphere that they are a a huge part of! From having the Grinch and Cyndi Lou Hoo for Christmas pictures with the children to the haunted house and candy they create for Halloween!!! Saw Village Trestle on Phantom Gourmet and decided to check it out. Parked behind the restaurant and came in thru the rear entrance. The path to the restaurant proper was filled will "stuff". Mostly junk to be honest. WE sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by the bartender. Very nice lady. Brought our drink order quickly. We took a few minutes to look over the menu. Ordered our food and checked the place out. A little rustic but generally clean and welcoming. Our food came out and looked amazing, I ordered the haddock Reuben with fries. Fries were awsum! Sandwich was great as well, I couldn't finish it, but gave it my best. Overall a great experience and we will be back and tell our friends! read more

The way north from Manchester, NH to Fairlee, VT apparently went thru this area of New Hampshire and my friend and I decided to make a stop for lunch. It was after 2pm and we had a long drive ahead of us. We trusted the GPS and it lead us thru this small town and we settled on the Village Trustle. Mind you that this place is where the road is less traveled, but nowadays there's people still are as welcoming and friendly, as there are cats and dogs in the world. Small town vibes are nice like that, save for the weird ones you seen portrayed on tv and movies. With that said, the restaurant was fairly occupied, but we got a table almost immediately. I suspect that the lunch rush was largely over and we got a table pretty close to the television, so we could catch the news of the day. The ambiance felt like more of a pool hall / restaurant / bar than just a stand alone restaurant. It is what it is really, but that's the vibe I felt. They also have restrooms right next to the entrance, which was perfect since I had to use them before ordering lunch. Helpful tip is to not hydrate a lot before heading out on the road. The need to find restroom facilities becomes stronger as time rolls on. The service was friendly and good. It was just lunch, so we didn't really feel the need to load up just yet. That'll come later. I decided to have a beer, since I was on vacation of sorts. Yep. I ended up ordering their trestle burger, which sounded interesting on their menu, but ended up living up the name. It's their namesake burger, so it had to be good, yes? It was good and delicious for sure. I ordered it rare and it came with regular French fries. The overall experience here at the Village Trestle restaurant in Goffstown, New Hampshire was good, casual, and didn't know it was here until I saw it experience. I guess it's how it is with small town America when you're on vacation. It was nice to stop in here for a rest and partake in good food and drink. The restaurant itself was quite clean and very nice. It was a small place but it was a nice good, down-to-earth place where you can hang out or you have nothing to do while you're in the area. For the most part though, it was an enjoyable lunch and definitely would welcome anyone to come here if They are in the area in rural New Hampshire. The prices here were pretty fair and competitive for what they are offering. The burger is selfless priced around $12 and the beer was around seven dollars apiece. It was a typical meal that was really good and I enjoyed the service even though it was typical, fresh, and friendly. For a small bar here in New Hampshire, the mail was pretty extensive, all though not small but really good choices and options to fill your stomach after a hard days work or passing through to upstate Vermont like me and my friend were on that Friday in May 2022. If you are passing through Goffstown, New Hampshire and need a bite to eat or drink, consider coming here to the village trestle restaurant and bar for a good time and goodies. They'll take care of you like family, like how they did with me and my friend being tourists folk. We probably spent about an hour here from start to finish then we were on our way. Nice town too, by the way. The Village Trestle restaurant and bar is located at 25 Main Street in Goffstown, New Hampshire. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash too. Their bathroom facilities are adequate but not sure if they have WiFi here. It doesn't really matter too much, since we were in and out and on our way north to VT after our lunch experience. As far as parking goes, there are bits and pieces of street parking next to or nearby the restaurant. We could have pulled into the empty spot next to the restaurant on the day, but we ended up finding a large public parking spot, which was free, and nearby. Just had to cross the busy Main Street and you're free to head onto good eating. The Village Trestle restaurant is a hidden gem here in the area, especially when you're really not close to any metropolitan area. The closest city / town would be Manchester, NH. You get good eating and best live music anywhere, as I saw on their fliers walking into the restaurant. While I don't think the town has any viable public transportation system, best thing to do is rent a car to get here. Maybe Uber / Lyft as well. It's definitely country lit out here, but good eating is where it's at. The food is good and delicious. It's a great place to stop on your way north or a stopover on your way south from New Hampshire. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 4.5 stars for the friendly and fast service. 4.0 stars for the food. 3.5 stars for the prices. I ordered the steak tips and I hate to say it I like my meat well done I ordered a salad, a Caesar salad and a dessert all to go. I should've known better I should've said something about the packing of my food but I did not. I got home. My dessert was all melted from the heat from the steak tips and my salad. It also had the salad dressing on it. You don't put dressing on to go salads I don't care what anyone says. It's always on the side. I called the restaurant and told person who had answered the phone and they were like what do you want me to do about it and by the way, my steak tips were not cooked well done I ended up giving the meat to my dog and throwing the rest out. This is a local bar with great homemade food. The Trestle Burger is my absolute favorite, and it has grilled onions and mushrooms, bacon, cheese, and a Trestle sauce which is amazing. You'd never know their fries aren't fried--they're baked because they don't have a fryolator. Everything is freshly made. They offer daily specials, and a huge homemade dessert list. Portions are huge. I like to go for lunch when it's quiet. They offer live bands and performers so there is plenty of opportunity to choose the type of atmosphere you'd like, whether you like it crowded or quiet. read more

The hostess was not particularly welcoming. The server was a bit better but completely messed up our order. 4 out of 5 orders were wrong, and not because we customized them. Just plain wrong (as in 3 out of the 5 weren't even the right dish). The food was mediocre at best, and even that is probably too generous an assessment. This place gives off a strong locals only vibe. That's probably a good thing for the rest of New England, because I would never recommend this place to anyone. The atmosphere and vibes were pretty good when I came in here. The hostess was super friendly. My waitress was nice at first until I came back to send my food back. I asked for a medium rare burger and got it completely well done and bland. She wasn't very apologetic about it. Seemed annoyed that I even came up to ask for a new burger. I wasn't rude about it or anything. They made one on the fly and I left. Unfortunately they made the refire incorrect aswell. Instead of medium rare it was medium well. We tried this place for the first time This holiday weekend. Unfortunately we were disappointed and won't be back. The waiter had a strong smoke smell. I requested mayonnaise on my sandwich and there was none put on. The appetizer we ordered was brought out at the end of the meal. The staff behind the bar were swearing and the entrance door had an annoying bang to it every time someone came in or went out. Good, clean eating that won't break the bank. Yes sir! Casual environment with pub food, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and full meals. Soups are fresh made and stick to the ribs. My husband had the daily special which was chicken teriyaki stir fry. The chicken was tender and not overseasoned at all. I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Skin on red bliss potatoes, excellent. The meatloaf was flavorful and tender. What I liked the most was the charred crust on the outside. Tasted as if they roasted it slowly in the oven and threw it on the grill to caramelize a nice sauce on the outside. Desserts are a must-try. Husband got the coconut cake, I have the Sunshine cake which was a Mandarin cake with pineapple mousse topping. It tasted like my mom made it and transported me back home when I tasted it! This is a family run restaurant/bar with great live music on a main strip of dining establishments in a small town. The place is clean and comfortable with TV's and a pool table. They have a manageable menu and everything is scratch made. Their specials menu have a longer list of house made desserts than other specials. The staff is very friendly and everything on the menu is either baked or grilled. Nothing is fried. The prices are more than reasonable for the amount of food they give you. read more

In the past couple weeks (early October), I went for Trestle take-out. We got two Trestle burgers, which were very good, no complaints here, but I am at high-risk for Covid-19, and the Trestle's setup in very poor in this regard. 1) The take-out pickup was at the extreme back of the restaurant, meaning I had to go through a long enclosed space. 2) There was no plexi-glass at the take-out pickup area, separating the customers from the servers. This lack of concern for people like me will prevent me from doing any future take-outs, which is sad, because I did find the food as very good. read more

We sat out on the patio, which is nice. The barkeep was great; my Sam Adams was as cold as can be and my wife really enjoyed her wine spritzer (perfect on such a hot day)! I had the Trestle Burger, I ordered it medium but it came out more well done than medium, but it was still good. Burgers and sandwiches come with a variety of side choices in lieu of fries, which is great. I got the garden salad with balsamic vinegarette - fresh produce and excellent dressing. My wife had the pastrami on rye and loved it. She also had the potato salad, which was delicious. This place is a great local spot! I'd encourage a visit! read more

I have been coming to the Trestle many years with my family as I am a Goffstown resident. This is the second time I have had the waitress named Bonnie, who was completely rude had no bedside manner and made me feel incompetent when I asked questions about the menu. not only that she upset my children because of her demeanor towards me. At one point, she forgot my child milk so I went to the bar and she sat there talking bad about some people which is so unprofessional when you're in that type of environment Not only did she see me standing there she made me wait till she was done her story and then was pissy towards me because I had to remind her that she forgot my childs milk i'm not usually one to complain, but this is the second time this is happened and we come for dinner weekly. it was pretty bad when the table next to us even made a comment about how rude she was being even to them. I would hate to not come there anymore because the new owner Dennis has done a wonderful job with the place and it's so much more enjoyable. you need more waitresses or bartenders like Stephanie? she was always outgoing and friendly and makes my dinner experience memorable. read more
