I went inside to dry my clothes and I couldn't go to my next stop while they dried because an employee decided to park behind me. He kept looking at me so he could've asked.. they also seem to have someone here working on the plumbings and heating hopefully my clothes dry? Some items came back dirty. They obviously did not check after running them through the washing machine. Items are folded but then crunched up in a smelly plastic wrap, which basically wrinkles everything! Some light items were clearly washed with red items and are dingy and slightly pink, or have pink stains on them now. I'm not sure how a professional business can be so unskilled. They clearly just shove everything into washer and dryer machines and fold them without any other care or consideration. read more

I attempted to use Seattle Laundry Service for a second time since I had such a wonderful experience the first time. I contacted them and we scheduled a pick up day. I was then emailed and informed that they wouldn't be able to do it in the agreed upon time. I asked for a window of time delivery so I made sure I was at home. I took the day off work because I didn't want to risk missing them if they came early. I waited the allotted time at home. 15 minutes after the hour window, I called the service asking how long it would be before the driver would show up. I was informed that the driver called. I said I have no such missed call on my phone. I was then told that the driver knocked and there was no answer. And this is where I became incredibly upset, seeing as I was home with my dog during the time she "knocked." I understand technology on Capitol Hill can go a bit wonky. But to be told that someone knocked at my door (I live in a studio with a dog, it's an impossibility to not hear a knock) and I didn't answer is ludicrous. The lack of customer service is appalling. "The driver said she called and there was no answer and she knocked and there was no answer so she went home. Do you want to reschedule?" Not even an apology for the potential for miscommunication. At $2.25lb you would think they would treat their customers with a bit more respect and understanding. I used to tell everyone about how wonderful of a service this was. No more. This is the first time I have ever written a review on yelp - that is how strongly I feel about the poor service I received at this business. I went to the University District location to have about 40 pounds of clothes laundered. When I got the clothes home, two sweaters and two shirts had huge holes in them. I emailed twice and called explaining the situation and asked for my money back and no one ever responded. Save your clothes and do not go to Seattle Laundry Service. read more

I own a spa, and was relieved to hear that they do not weigh it until after it is washed and dried (unlike some other services which overcharge because the washload comes in with wet towels). My Experience: I called SLS and asked about pricing and location, the person I spoke to was helpful and very friendly. After dropping off some laundry for Clean-Dry-Fold service at around 4pm on a Sunday, I was told that I could pick it up later that night if I'd like. Since it wasn't a huge rush, I just let them know that I would come in the next day (Monday). Since I work downtown, I wanted to make sure we were very clear that it would be done at any time on Monday so I asked a few times and was told yes, it will be done tonight so anytime tomorrow is fine. Drive over on Monday around 1pm: It was a different emplyee and I gave her my ticket and information to pickup the laundry. Again, this employee was extremely nice...However I was told that the laundry wasn't done. Driving from downtown this was quite frausterdating. I let her know that I was told I could come any time today and she pointed out on the ticket that it said 5:00pm. Annoyed but in a good mood because it was sunny outside, I drove away after being told it would be done after 5:00pm. I called them around 2:30pm as I learned my lesson on just showing up and was told it would be done in 40 minutes. Arriving around 3:30, it was indeed done. One more thing to add on this note- after further looking at the ticket that said "5:00pm". It actually said "before 5:00pm". It sounds to me like this was just an isolated communication error, but an inconvenince none the less. I should also mention that they don't take credit cards, so I had to walk a few blocks to an ATM. Isn't it 2012? I can take credit card payments on my Iphone for free...come on guys. NOW for the quality. The clothes were shrink wrapped, nicely wrapped and look to be clean. I will update this review if I find any "problems" but I am happy. Pricing seems very fair, one regular size VERY full laundry basket, probobly 2 full loads in a normal size W/D, was exactly $20.... There you go, my experience. read more

Excellent service. We are currently staying at the fairmont Olympic hotel and had a weeks worth of washing to do. The hotel was going to charge $11 just to was one pair of toddler jeans. I phoned this service - they picked up at the hotel and dropped back to the concierge the next day. $25 for many items. Excellent service. Great prices. read more

Called and got a very rude customer service rep- after advertising that you can call or use the online portal for service , I was very quickly dismissed by the rep on the phone and told to go online- she did not seem interested in my business at all, wouldnt take my number and would not guarantee that I would even get a call back! I fondly refer to Seattle Laundry Service as my "Laundry Fairy". I live in upper Queen Anne and our nearest laundry mat rarely has parking and I was having to park blocks away and drag my heavy clothes down the street. NOT ideal. I found Seattle Laundry Service and it is so, so easy to call them up, set my bags of clothes on my porch, have them pick it up, and have them returned. I gave them my credit card once and I like that I don't have to give it to them each time since they keep it (along with my address) on file. The clothes come back perfectly laundered and in shrink wrap. The best part? They are organized - folded in one direction, nothing is inside out, socks are paired, etc. This saves me SO much time when it's time to put everything away. Yes, a pick up laundry service is a luxury but it's one that I'm happy to indulge in. When I need things dry cleaned I just throw them in a separate bag with a note and they make sure to do that as well. read more

We have had mixed service from them. We originally used them regularly before our second child came. While sometimes they would forget a pick-up it was still a pretty convenient service. They also claim to offer dry cleaning - I found it almost impossible to get the dry cleaning back after we sent it. It always required several follow-up emails for me to get the dry cleaning - once it came back a month late. We restarted recently and they just weren't able to provide service. They missed pick-ups repeatedly, promised our laundry on one day and then didn't deliver it, etc. This week they said they would pick up on Monday and deliver on Tuesday. They didn't come on Monday but after I called and emails said they would come on Tuesday and drop on Wednesday. They picked up on Tuesday and didn't drop off on Wednesday. I called and emailed again and was told they would drop it off on Thursday - so three days late. No apology or any kind of acknowledgement of how inconvenienced we were. I had the feeling that our house was not in their regular delivery area and was just very difficult for them to service. They would have been better off just telling us that they didn't come to our place. So in general when it works it's great - I would just be really sure they can actually come to your place and never depend on them to deliver or pick-up on time (i.e. be sure you have enough extra clothes to cover yourself for a couple of days) and certainly don't send your dry-cleaning. read more

So, I had a huge amount of laundry that I just didn't want to tackle myself with my tiny washer/dryer in my apartment. I didn't feel like hauling all my dirty clothes down three flights of stairs and out to the laundry mat either. I discovered that this place will pick-up your laundry from your place, wash-dry-and fold it, and deliver it back to you! This was fantastic! This service is GREAT if you've been traveling and don't want to send in a bunch of stuff through the hotel laundry and spend per piece. Think about how much you save: Most big hotels will charge $8 to wash/dry/fold a pair of pants. For nearly $20, we laundered pants, underwear, socks and shirts. Seattle Laundry Service is terrific! About once a quarter I do seasonal laundry - recently used and upcoming season needs, so I send about 4 big bags out. While it is not cheap, it saves me much time and energy I don't have. Seattle Laundry does a great job, from Catalina smiling as she comes to get and deliver, to the quick turnaround (usually 1 day for me), to clean, folded, and plastic wrapped return laundry.
