The somewhat unusual zipper on my favorite reversible jacket suddenly stopped zipping (What good is a rain jacket if it doesn't zip up?), so I decided to try Greenwood Cleaners as they had been recommended by a friend. Hi Sean, I was waiting for your response. It's funny reading how you gas light everyone who has any complaints. The owner reimbursed us $100 out of $700. I spent over $3,000 on the dress, not including flights to Idaho. She mentioned that the stains came from sitting in a chair, which was odd. With 30+ years of experience, why default to that? People also do not sit in chairs on their thighs. You are lying through your teeth and it's despicable. There is a special place for people like you. I also want to point out that my husband, Brandon L., is entitled to leave his own review of your company. If you did not take ownership of a huge mistake that was no doubt done by your company, why would he waste his breath complaining about a missing button? With 30+ years I find it hard to believe you'd allow a customers shirt to leave your facility without properly inspecting it. Lastly, I attached a screen shot of my dress designers email. She completely re-did my dress and has years of experience. My best friends mother is also in the industry with years experience. There is NO WAY FOR AN IRON MARK TO SHOW UP LATER. Well I've been here probably 4-5 times now. They are nice and prompt. I've had my suits and my partners dresses cleaned and they do a good job. They removed an impossible le stain from my partners favorite blouse. They've also hemmed my jacket sleeves and pants which turned out great. I can't compare prices since I haven't shopped around but I trust their work, it's fast, they're friendly, I'm happy. read more

The only dry cleaning establishment we have used for the last 20 years. Heidi has done alterations for us for both my husband's and my daughter's wedding outfits and cheerfully and professionally cleaned coats and other items over the years. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Love their new location too, just 2 blocks from where they previously were, and so much larger and nicer. The first day I wore a freshly cleaned coat they had treated, I got a chocolate stain on it. I asked Heidi if it would be possible to just remove the stain and not clean the whole coat again. She told me she would ask her husband. Within a day she called me to say it was ready. They completely removed the stain and insisted there was no charge. I'll be a customer for life. read more

I came to get a jumper hemmed and needed it to be turned around quickly, but was a little nervous about what it might cost. She said that she could turn it around in a day, which I really appreciated. When she had me put it on, and asked me what kind of shoes I planned to wear (which thankfully I had brought with me), she ended up giving me pointers for how to fasten the jumper a little tighter so that everything fell nicely and said I didn't need it to be altered as long as I wear those shoes (chunky wedge, so no concerns about snagging/puncturing the fabric). They were incredibly kind and professional. I brought in a few sweaters for dry cleaning, and they went above and beyond by carefully inspecting them. They even found some small holes I hadn't noticed! They suggested having the holes repaired before cleaning, as the dry cleaning process could worsen them. Came here because I needed my pants hemmed for vacation. It cost $28 for the hemming of the pants and the turn around was 24 hours. I was very happy with the results. Really expensive. I had 10 items laundered and pressed here, not dry cleaned, and it came out to $138. These were all cotton items, various shirts and pants. She gave me an $8 discount, so it was $13/item. I'm slightly suspicious of her asking me about hand vs. machine pressing some of the shirts with buttons. I think it might have been a mild upsell (hand pressing costs more) since I've never been asked by a cleaner for this, and all of my shirts are cheap with buttons that I now realize are probably fine being machine pressed. I've used dry cleaners for laundering my work clothes for 15 years. The clothes came out well, but the experience just seemed a bit shady with the sticker shock and no listed prices anywhere. read more

No. Stay away. Shady lady. My husband recently dropped off a pair of his favorite pants with six zippers and pockets everywhere (function or fashion) as one of the zippers was close to coming off track. He was told that the zipper was a special type of zipper, which was believable given the fact that his pants are from a clothing brand out of Australia. He handed over his pants and was told they would be ready in a few days, at least that's what he gathered from the very, very soft-spoken lady with a thick accent, working there. No problem, as long as the zipper is fixed and the pants are wearable, that's all he wants. After receiving notice that the pants were ready for pick up, my husband pops over to pick them up and is surprised with additional charges totaling $50+ for other stitching that was "replaced and fixed." Uhhh, he didn't ask for that to be done and is now paying for work that he never asked for? He was very confused, but didn't feel like arguing as prolonging the lifespan is his favorite jeans for one third of the price he paid for them seemed like a good investment at the time. Less than a month later, one of the other threads they said they "replaced and fixed" came undone completely opening up two convenient hip-side pockets into one big, gaping side pocket. So, he returned to Greenwood Cleaners today, since they are conveniently open on Sunday, and was met by the same lady that is always there. Anticipating her soft, hard-to-understand voice, he explained what happened clearly and was immediately met with loud, defensiveness from the lady, who only agreed to fix the stitching for free after repeatedly denying that it could have possibly been her work. Needless to say, he will be taking his business elsewhere and we suggest you do the same. read more

Hey, Dapper Dan, if you're as picky about your dress shirts as I am, let me give you two words of advice: Greenwood Cleaners. I wear a tie at work every day, so I need my shirts to look top-drawer. Handled with care and lovingly hung on wire hangers (sorry Christina), each shirt comes lightly starched and pressed to perfection. A little identification tag made from a strip of orange paper is attached to each garment to ensure that no item is ever lost. I'm always impressed with the attention to detail, and the quality has been the same for years. You will need to provide your own collar stays and insert them yourself when you get home, but that is a minor inconvenience considering the price. Notice that they're closed on Saturdays, but open on Sundays. Go figure. They offer a 5% discount if you pay cash. On my last visit, the bill for washing, starching, pressing, and hanging 18 shirts came to $54.60, including tax, after the cash discount. Only $3.03 per shirt out the door? Wow! I love this place! The owner is very kind and super attentive. Her happy smile and cheerful greeting will make your day brighter, for sure. Heidi works magic. I've come here several times over the past few months and each time she's done a great job getting my clothes clean. I once brought in four work dresses that had deodorant stains from two years ago; she managed to get them all out. Most recently she (and her husband) got huge, dark turmeric stains out of my favorite cotton baby outfit (a cup of turmeric milk had spilled on them). I tried to clean them but nothing worked. Heidi was honest she might not be able to get the stains out either, but she'd try and wouldn't charge me if she couldn't get them out. I was so happy when I came to pick them up and found that the turmeric stains were gone. Heidi told me that it was a team effort with her husband; when she hadn't been able to get the stains out entirely, her husband tried a different method at his shop (Magnolia Cleaners at 3655 34th Ave W). They put a lot of work into it, did an amazing job and didn't charge much at all. I appreciated that Heidi understood what that outfit means to me, too; she told me that cleaning my son's clothes brought back sweet memories of when their sons were little. Really disappointing experience with this neighborhood cleaner. I dropped off several items, including a blazer with an oil stain. When I went to pick up the items, I asked if they were able to get the stain out and the lady at the counter said "you can check yourself" (the stain was still there). I understand that some stains can't be removed, but I'm honestly not even sure if they tried as she offered no assistance or explanation. They then charged much more than I've ever paid before, including $60 to clean a dress. If you are going to use their services, I highly recommend getting a quote first. read more

Anyone leaving this place a good review must be a family member of the owners or were so desperate to have something altered in crazy fast time they were willing to pay any price. I had stopped into this cleaner once before using them to have them hem a bridesmaid dress and they had told me it'd be $240 because it was more than one layer of material. I was in no rush so I shopped around and had it hemmed for $70 nearby. I still wanted to give them a try because they live within walking distance for us so I took in a few uniform shirts of mine and some work shirts and pants of my husband. When they printed the receipt when I dropped the items off they had said all the shirts would be $2.95, a little more expensive than we've paid other places but because I can't stand cleaners that try charging me extra for my shirts since they're "women's size" I was excited. I work in a male driven industry and my uniform is identical to my male co-workers, no additional pleating or reason to be charged extra.. however.. when I went to pick up our clothing they said they had mis-charged me and that my shirts would be $9. I told them this was exactly why I asked when I dropped them off but the lady in her very broken English that had taken 8 try's to understand the spelling of my name before finally finding my order said when there's a women's size on the tag they have to charge the women's price, triple to what they charge for men's shirts. This place saved me on my brothers wedding day. The tuxedo rental company that we were using screwed me over and forgot to overnight the correct size pants to me. I was stuck with a pair of pants too big for me and only 2 1/2 hours to try and figure something out. There was an extra charge for the rush but they knocked it out in about an hour.
