Needed a zipper repair on an expensive coat. Specifically pointed out what I thought was the biggest problem, I was quoted $45 and told it was a 'zipper replacement'. When the coat was finished they did nothing about the torn zipper which wouldn't mate, all they did was apparently replace the slider which should only have cost $10-$15. Every garment is cleaned to perfection. Every garment is lovingly hung on a hanger or folded with the sleeves perfectly clipped in front. Bainbridge Island does not permit dry cleaning; therefore, the shop that I found there must export customers' clothing to Seattle for cleaning. It has limited hours and it takes a long time to get your clothing cleaned, so despite being close to my wife's workplace it was inconvenient and costly to do business with the shop. I recently dropped off a couple of pairs of slacks at Next Day Dry Cleaners, in my community of Poulsbo, where I met the owner, whose name is Sergio. Sergio was friendly and welcoming. The pants were ready in a timely manner; however, I discovered that the cost of dry cleaning is considerably more expensive than it was in Kirkland, where dry cleaners are ubiquitos. They do a nice job but are expensive and the location is lousy. Getting into and out of the parking lot is a serious pain.

While the name of the shop may lead one to believe that next day service is guaranteed, I don't want that to take away from Sergio's customer service acumen. He is extremely friendly and has often offered to stay open to ensure that I am able to pick up my clothing after work. Tailoring has been high quality as well. I have been coming here for five years. I took mine and my daughters dresses for alterations for my daughters wedding. He gave me a price for my dress and I agreed. He gave me a price for my daughters which I did not agree with and he suggested we send it to alterations and I was told By the gentleman at the counter that I would be called with a price for my daughters dress prior to any work being done. I was not called. I called two days later to follow up and at first he was surprised she had not called me and said he would call me back. He called me back to tell me the dress was finished and would be $165. I tried talking with him about the fact I was suppose to receive a quote and did not but he was pretty much yelled at me on he phone and said to come get my dresses whether I'm going to pay or not. I felt extremely uncomfortable going to get the dresses. He did not look up at me and asked if I had decided whether I was going to pay him or not. I did not pay the full amount but I did pay over $100 which he then applied a service charge to ( I have never been charged a service charge here) I tried apologizing for the miscommunication and he did not even bother to look up from the register. He was extremely rude and has lost my business completely. So sad I will have to find a new dry cleaner. The disrespect this man showed me was beside me. I will not be back. Originally he said $35 a layer for three layers and that turned into $165. Those number don't add up. read more

I had my white silk blouse dry cleaned and specifically asked for a small stain to be removed. When I returned to pick it up, the staff couldn't locate my blouse after a long search so I had to leave. But within the hour, I got a call from another staff member to tell me they found it. When I returned, I found that the blouse still had the small stain. It was overall ok with nice staff but ultimately not five star experience I expect and get from other cleaners in Seattle. read more

I have been going there happily for two years. Unfortunately, I recently had an negative experience where they did not de-pill a sweater that I asked for. A minor thing. The owner tried to tell me he did not charge me for it, when in fact he did. Upon probing he agreed that he did charge me and that he would refuse to give me a refund for the de-pilling charges. Such a minor incident but one that they would not acknowledge was done poorly. There are lots of dry cleaners in the area so you need to have good, honest service to be competitive. read more

I wish I could give either "negative stars" or no "stars" for this business. I recently took a "Santa suit" to be cleaned and when I got it back, I noted the fur around the hat and coat was damaged. This was not the first time the suit has been cleaned (I've owned it for 8 years and clean as needed and always at the end of the season). There never has been an issue prior at any other dry cleaners. When I dropped off the suit, I asked Jolene, the Poulsbo store manager, if there needed to be any special instructions and she replied that "he has cleaned Santa suits before". I asked for the owner's name and phone number, then later called him to discuss the damage. He said he would call the store's manager and call me back. I waited a few days, then when he did not call me, I called him. He did not answer. So I went back to the store and spoke with Jolene. She related that Sergio told her "There were no special tags" advising of how it should be cleaned, so "he is not responsible for any damage". read more

Had a terrible experience. They ruined a non-replaceable tablecloth which was a gift from South Africa. It had candlewax on it; I dropped it off and asked that the owner call be BEFORE they did anything to discuss how and IF to have it cleaned. It wasn't dirty - I just wanted to see what we could do about the candle wax. They didn't call me but went ahead and cleaned it. It faded, plus the cloth texture changed. When I called the owner, he didn't care. Said he had followed the directions on the tablecloth. (The directions said "washable" but not to be put into a dryer. It looked to me like it had been dried in a dryer.) I told him the "directions" were to call me before doing anything. He simply did not care. Asked me what I wanted them to do and I said there wasn't anything they could do because it couldn't be replaced but that I wanted him to know that they had messed up so they wouldn't do that to another customer.
