Good washing, however if you are having blankets or heavy bedding done, don't leave in plastic bags without checking to see if it really is dry! Twice now my comforter was very damp in the bag, requiring me to dry myself -- I won't be back, but thought others should be aware. read more

I use this place for washing and drying my comforter, which is too big for my home machines. The lady working at the front desk is friendly and helpful. You can buy your own laundry card with cash, but I didn't have cash on me so she let me pay with credit card which was really convenient. They have huge dryers which is perfect for my comforter! Not a huge posh space but it's nice and they have plenty of chairs while you wait. read more

I know one-star reviews are extreme, but here's why I think it's warranted: My clothes came out of the dryer stinking of something like burnt plastic, and the stench won't come out. It's a noxious chemical smell and it is powerful. My understanding is that this is indicative of poorly-maintained machines. I have since washed everything in a home washer four times, but the stink remains. I have tried heaps of baking soda, I have been through several gallons of vinegar. Still the stench persists. And it was a LOT of clothes, like most of the clothes I own, including a lot of nice stuff. Every linen shirt and every t-shirt, every bedsheet and pillowcase, every pair of jeans and every pair of shorts, all stink of something gone terribly wrong. Every time I get dressed, take a shower or go to bed, the odor greets me loudly like a smack in the nose. It clings to me and follows me wherever I go. It's repulsive for me and it's embarrassing as well. I myself now stink of the innards of some grimy, poorly-maintained laundromat. All day, every day. I could have overlooked a separate ordeal I went through with a malfunctioning washer that kept locking its door and initiating a hot water heavy-duty wash on my delicates and colors, despite my selecting the cold gentle settings, requiring the staff member to duck into an adjacent room to reset the machine THREE TIMES before it became clear I needed to just pull out and use a different washer. And I'm sure I didn't goof up with the controls either because she watched me and verified I did it right. I could have chalked that experience up to a quirk and said to myself "all's well that ends well" ...if things had ended well. I was far from being the only customer who had problems that day. Both I and another customer had the same experience of opening a dryer to find that not only was the laundry still wet, it was still COLD and wet. Thankfully the staff member made absolutely sure we didn't lose money on those faulty machines, even if we did lose time on them. I eventually learned that the staff do know which machines are dependable and which aren't, because they have to use them for the bundle service. Customers just have to find out the hard way. Yet another customer came in to pick up his laundry from bundle service while I was there, and he got very upset when he received a bag that contained a mixture of his laundry and someone else's, especially since he was due to fly back to his home country the following day, and didn't have time to sort through or verify nothing was missing. The staff member was very apologetic... I'm tempted to give back a star just for her because as you can see, she was diligent about taking care of all the frustrations the customers were running into, and she remained gracious throughout. She was knowledgeable about the problems and the workarounds, and she was adept at quickly applying them. She made sure nobody got ripped off by the machines. I'm pretty certain she wasn't the one who mixed up the guy's laundry. It seemed like just one more mess that had been left for her to clean up. If you aren't paying attention, the dryers will just keep on eating your money. One moment the display shows the final remaining minutes, but if you don't grab that door before the timer runs out, you'll discover the display showing the time replenished, and your funds diminished. How on Earth a place like this can keep its doors open I have no idea. It is poorly-maintained and reeeks of bad management. You may need a laundromat, but I doubt you need one this badly. B.O. is preferable to this smell. I only wish my clothes merely stank like normal dirty laundry. This is one mistake I will never make again. Avoid at all costs. [UPDATE]: SIX washes later the smell is finally beginning to fade! I didn't even measure my detergent the latest time around, I just free-poured a big glop of it right out of the spout, way beyond the normal amount. The linen clothes have fared the best, which is a relief. The cottons are getting there; some seem odor-free while others are still quite repugnant, but the indication is that there is hope for the cotton stuff. The synthetics have fared the worst; some have bounced back, but with others the smell is straight-up noxious. What do you think, guys? Should I give 'em back one star for the courteous and knowledgeable staff member who diligently tended to all the problems thrown her way and remained gracious and collected through it all? I give her, specifically, five stars. But can I really give this laundromat a one-star upgrade? I'm guessing if that staff member left, the place would get even worse. But when I hover my mouse over that second star, a bubble appears with the words "could've been better," and "could've been better" just doesn't cover it. I dunno. I'll think about it. This inescapable odor has got me kinda emotional. read more

It has washing machines and dryers so that's the best part of our experience. The washing machines were dirty with hair and residue. Paying is weird, you have to buy a card and load it or pay extra for a travelers card. The lady working there looks uninterested and smokes outside. We had loaded up our clothes in the dryer and she comes in to tell us those dryers don't work so we have to take it out and move to the other side of the laundromat. There were no signs indicating that they were out of order. Will not come back. Would rather drive another 10 mins further to go to the one in Ballard read more

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience and that lies with one of their front staff. Young girl, half pink half black hair, somewhat tall and thin. When I got dropped off, it was by an Uber driver. He did not speak fluent English and that's perfectly fine. What wasn't fine was the girl being dropped off by her companion, hopped out of the vehicle at the turn in (blocking the path for others, ironically), yelled at the guy that "you know you're taking up two spots, bro". The guy politely waved, agreed, I unloaded the rest of my bins, and went inside. When I went to the front desk to ask which ones weren't out of order, the girl in question, with an attitude; "the ones not in order." Yes, thank you, however some unlabeled had no lights, which she also said was an indicator. It was not. As I was writing this review to keep note of, the suspected owner let me know of a better washing machine (rather than where I was and where the girl had initially pointed to, all with attitude), doing a proper job and not inputting weird personal emotions into the mix. I couldn't find the lady otherwise I would've spoken with her about this and not necessarily reviewed, but I could not. The girl, during her initial shift, sat outside with her companion, smoking and generally goofing off. Would be one thing if she hadn't been rude during the entire exchange. The suspected owner is a nice lady, but she needs to reevaluate her choice in staff. This was unacceptable behavior. Unfortunately our machine breaks often and we have to utilize this laundromat. I don't wish for this to be a regular occurrence. It's incredibly unwelcoming and unprofessional behavior. read more

I've been trying out laundromats in the area to find my favorite one and what seems to be the best deal. This one is the most affordable I've tried so far. You do have to buy a card, they charge $3 for that, other places I've been charged $5 so not bad. The machines are a mix of old and new- there are several out of service- otherwise I would have put 5 stars. The attendant seemed nice and was busy folding and keeping the place tidy. The last place I went there never seemed to be an attendant anywhere, so it's nice that there's someone to help if you need it. I like the mural at the back! The place is not huge but the woman manning the post was good and friendly. Its not posh but it's good. If you don't want to wait around they will take your clothes and do it all for you - at a price of course but it seemed to me that lots of folks did just that. read more

I have lived in the neighborhood for 20 years and have enjoyed going to this particular laundromat for many years till recently. They have an extremely rude attendant by the name of Britney . I have seen her chastise and berated customers asking simple question. Most of the time I try to avoid asking her any question. She seems unhinged and ready to explode. I have warned my entire neighborhood bout her and urge them to take their business elsewhere. We are not going to put up with a power hungry and verbally abusive laundry attendant. Really bummed! The business hours are posted as open until 9:00pm. At 7:00 the particular staff person would not allow me to start a 30 minute wash. She said she was following the rules. A two hour window but she would not budge! This particular staff person is generally rude and I've seen her close up and leave while people had their items in the dryers - 1 hour before closing time. read more

I downloaded Yelp for the sole purpose of writing this. The prices are ridiculous. You have to buy one of their cards to use the machine which itself costs $3. A wash costed three dollars on a very old machine. And after this, my load of towels took 4 15 minute cycles to complete, on brand new looking machines. This owner called a tow truck with at least eight spots open in their parking lot. They cost me $91 hard earned dollars when their lot was empty. I am very big on justice, and can't understand an owner calling a tow truck on people parked in a parking lot that had three closed businesses and one open for another ten minutes. I don't have this kind of money, and am disappointed they don't consider other people in their decisions. read more
