I travel a lot and stopped by oak tree laundromat recently and found new owners and the great job they're doing cleaning up the place and they have Attentive staff. I forgot my power-bank charger for my iPhone and their honest staff, a gracious young man, put it away for me with my name on it. I was SO afraid it would be missing when I came back! (Sigh of relief) I was there once when it was filled with families doing laundry. The precious kids were having a good time but not obnoxious. The parents seemed to keep a gentle watch on them. We feel very treated badly, it was very upsetting and so unprofessional. If we could, we give them zero star. Here's why... My husband dropped off his 3 Jackets to be dry cleaned on 11/7. They were supposed to be ready to pickup on 11/14, but he could pick up only 2 out of 3. The guy said one of the Jacket was sent to other place to get off the stain since it didn't come off. My husband paid $36.26 (for 3 Jackets) and was told to come back next day. I went there next day 11/15, (since my husband was working the day), there's different guy there told me the Jacket was still not ready. He explained to me the Jacket was sent to 2 different places. I asked him it would be okay if we come pick it up after 11/25 since my husband and I were going to be out of town. He was fine with it and apologized the delays. My husband and I went back there today 11/25, the guy there that my husband paid $36.26 to, told my husband to pay $36.26 since there's no payment history on his book. We didn't have receipt on us since we'd never thought we needed it because my husband paid off $36.26 (for 3 Jackets) on 11/14 even through he could pick up only 2 Jackets, not 3. And the guy accepted the whole payment (for 3 Jackets). At the counter, he was very rude to us when I politely asked him if he could check with other person, he argued and raised his voice saying that No receipt, you won't get the Jacket. This is 3rd time for us to pick up just 1 Jacket just because they can't do their job right. Unfortunately we won't be back, so he can keep my husband's jacket. read more

He saw me struggle putting a bill into the laundry machine and used a bucket of quarters to trade with me instead! There's nothing more to report. Everything works, didn't get the laundry service they offer since I prefer to do it myself. I have a 2 year old who of coarse is always running all over, but instead of getting annoyed like I thought they would, they talk to her and make her laugh. I don't really get why some people are saying the guy is rude, he's and ways super friendly unless you give him a reason not to be. Long time ago I worked at the real estate office across the parking lot from the Oaktree Village Maytag Laundry and regularly did the drop-off laundry. Many years, always happy. Economy changed, career changed, address changed, didn't go there for years. Then it was time to re-visit. Same lady running it (like me, 15 years older!), newer machines, very tidy (as much as possible with errant kids of all ages running around) and VERY courteous. They do as much as possible to take care of all their customers. Yet I always felt SPECIAL when visiting. Always got quality work. Always on time and better than I expected. Spent over 2 hours and $20 here to have my laundry smell like BO and baby poop. The washer didn't work and the man running the counter "fixed" it for me. 45 minutes later my clothes were still on the Pre-Wash cycle. It was then that the woman working with him let me know that they tell people not to use that cycle and that my clothes will probably get ripped up now because of it. A cursory inspection of my family's clothing looks considerably thinner. The man working the counter glared at me the entire time I was packing up. Add on to that the junkie chick tweaking out in the aisle next to me and coming over to try and sell me time on her dryer, I don't think I'll be coming back here. I just went to this laundromat for the last time! I went in with my sunglasses on and could not see that there were clothes in a washer. The guy that had clothes in there freaked out on me. I said Sorry, I had not opened the washer but was just looking in the glass and touched the handle. I decided to leave after some verbal exchange. I told the guy to calm down and he yelled back Calm down yourself. I told the worker there I would come back when Grumpy was done. The worker was then all over me about Well it's his stuff! I said fine I realise that. I just couldn't see his stuff in there! Then he proceeded to tell me that I was the grumpy one! Wow! It was an honest mistake, I did not even open the door of the washer! That place is expensive and is NOT clean but the closest to me! I'm so thankful the mechanic is coming tomorrow to fix my washer! No more laundromat jerks to deal with!! read more

GHETTO!!! SCARY!!! The washer/dryer went out in my apt building & I used this because it was close to Green Lake. I did one load & got the heck out of there! There were 2 homeless guys (not that I have anything against the homeless) but they were fighting over a garbage bag that one brought his laundry in to wash. The place is not kept. a 1/4th or so of the machines are broken. The floor is peeling. It would seem that the building owner would have some standards for the laundry business tenant. I moved in to shoreline mid Sept 2017 before the new owners took over, this laundromat is on my way home so I found it easy to stop and do my laundry... Ya, i know the crap past, let it go.... I've been coming here for years. Laundry stacked on the back of my motorcycle in tow. Yes, i left years ago to go somewhere else. Silverfish, homeless, broken machines. BUT.... new owner, there super nice (why i went out of my way to make this review, i'm usually lazy or too busy). Place is clean.... new floors and paint, gone are the piles of clutter. Nice waiting area with a LCD tv, and even coffee while you wait (free, and yes cream and sugar available). There super nice people and they don't deserve the bad heat. Price has been upped, but that keeps the homeless out. The new machines (65 pound loads), do great. I have bad allergies, and ALL of it came out clean and fresh smelling. All and all, give them another chance. I did and now there my main place to go. read more

Came in tonight to wash my comforter as it is huge and doesn't fit in my own washer. The sweet owner not only was helping me put my soap and coins in the machine ha ha but offered to switch it over to the dryer for me so I could come back later. ...i've never felt more taking care of at the laundry mat before! I came here before the new owners and can attest to the vast improvements. The new owners, a sister and brother, are VERY nice. They always help me in and out with my baskets (the brother often times will RUN out when he sees me pull up), and Sun (the sister) helps me fold my laundry... she is amazing. They really cleaned up the place, installed HUGE new washers and dryers that really get my clothes clean... and because they are a bit more expensive, no more homeless people washing their sleeping bags. They repainted, retiled, and really made it nice. Don't worry about the sordid past... give it a try, and you won't regret it read more

This place was great! I needed to knock out like 20 loads of laundry because our washer and dryer still haven't been delivered to our new house - another story for another time. They have super huge washers and dryers, so I was able to get everything done in about 1.5 hours, folding time included. The owner was incredibly nice and the other customers were as well. Becoming a really racist place. They only cater to Spanish speaking customers. They scream loudly in Spanish across the laundromat. They fight and play around the laundromat, because the whole family works there. Very unprofessional. They throw things across the laundromat. One time a stack of folded towels almost hit me and my family. The guy flirts with men behind the counter, while on duty. They have loud Spanish spoken conversations while laughing and playing. Barely like to communicate in English. They invite their friends there to block the aisles while people are drying and using machines. When the young boy is asked a question he becomes very rude if you are not a Spanish speaking customer. They only provide good service to Mexicans, Hispanic people. Very prejudice and racist place. It constantly stinks in there. They Hispanic boy that's there leave mildewed towels on the floors where the laundry machines are. He also called me a Bitch under his breathe for requesting that the stinky unsanitary towels be removed. Barely wanted to give it one star. I'm calling the better business bureau. Whoever the owners PLEASE TAKE DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS ON YOUR EMPLOYEES. Please teach them employee service etiquette. I have been coming for years because it's the only laundromat off of 99/Aurora. The two owners (brother and sister) are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Our house is too small for a washer and dryer, so we drop our laundry off. I don't have his name, but the male owner now recognizes my truck and if I'm not with my boyfriend, he runs out to get my bag of clothes so I don't have to carry it. The sister owner, Sun (Sp?) is the sweetest thing ever. They charge about a dollar per pound of laundry, which is ridiculously cheap when you consider they wash, dry and fold everything perfectly (I'm a bit anal about perfect folded laundry and they put me to shame!) I don't know what it was like before they bought the place, but I've never had any sort of issue whatsoever. read more

This place is horrible. I went there yesterday and dropped off my laundry for pickup and when I arrived today, all of my white work shirts were stained pink as well as a few of my nice jackets. The manager there is the most awful person to deal with. It started civil with me asking what to do about my work shirts (as I have work the next day) and he took them and told me to pick them up the next day. After I realized some of my nicer clothes were also ruined, I went back and explained to him how I should get a refund since I went there for a service and that service was not fulfilled (along with the fact that I now have to buy a bunch of new clothes). He refuse to give me a refund, as well as refused to return my two work shirts to me. He then proceeded to threaten me and told me that if i want my work shirts back, I HAVE to be there at 7am the next day to get them. On top of that, he called me a liar and demanded that I bring back all of the clothes that I washed there so they could reweigh them and make sure I wasn't pulling a scam on them. Are you kidding me? I paid them for a service, they ruined my clothes and stole from me. I told him that he could keep my work shirts since he ruined them anyway. I will never go back there! read more
