One of my favorite milk tea shops in Seattle. If you're looking for authentic milk tea that's focused on a heavy tea flavor without it being too sweet then Seattle Best Tea is the place to go. Drinks: Their milk tea has a huge focused on the tea fragrance since they're also a tea shop. Their best selling drinks are typically the light oolong and heavy oolong milk tea. My go to drink is always a heavy oolong milk tea with lychee and egg pudding. Their egg pudding is really good and made in house. Price: Cheap compared to most bubble tea shops in Seattle. At 4 dollars for a large drinks and free toppings, it's literally the cheapest bubble tea I've gotten in Seattle. Service: Extremely good service with super nice people making your drinks. Shoutout to Heidi and Chris. Overall, if you're in the ID area then definitely make a stop here if you're a bubble tea connoisseur. read more

Whenever I'm in Seattle, a must is to go to Chinatown and indulge in some good bubble tea. Came to Seattle (for a Seahawks game) via BoltBus and was parched. Thankfully, I was dropped off a few minutes walk from Chinatown. My mission was to try a new bubble tea spot. I pulled up Yelp and saw great reviews for Seattle Best Tea. It's definitely a cramped spot and full of young Asian kids also getting their bubble tea fix. You know it's a good sign in any Asian establishment if the majority of the customers are also Asian ;) The employees were friendly and inviting. Their menu was easy to follow and at a great price, too! I went here twice during my two-day visit and got the jasmine and red bean flavors. They're both delicious, simple, and not overly sweet. Bonus! You get free, UNLIMITED jelly/boba add-ons. I don't know how long that'll last, but definitely a draw to come check this place out. read more

I love Seattle Best Tea and I can't believe I haven't tried it till now! They have great customer service, and their tea is freshhhh. They have an oolong milk tea that is deeply steeped... (I think it's called heavy or deep oolong milk tea) that has a fantastic strong oolong flavor! This was my favorite! They also do really good fruit teas that are refreshing their avocado smoothie is so creamy and smooth; it sounds weird but don't shy away from it before you try it! You will be surprised at how good it tastes! You can also add boba or others and change your sweetness level. They have a punch card filing system where you can write your name on a punchcard and put stickers on it to make it easier to find. I ordered three drinks. 2 smoothies with Boba and lychee and one milk tea with egg pudding. I was suspicious of the look of it because it appeared white and brownish; multicolored which egg pudding should not be. Although i did not think much of it until I took a sip. It was the consistency of chunky tofu and undercooked scrambled eggs. Now, the smoothies were very delicious but when i drank the milk tea i was slapped with a sensation of putrid nugget-like trauma. I can still feel the chunks in my throat. it was alarmingly stale-like. if you go here, i'd recommend getting a smoothie but beware of the "egg" pudding. Looking back (only a few minutes later), I feel like i want to cry and throw up at the same time. If you want to see how egg pudding is actually supposed to look like, look it up because this is not that whatsoever. This tea shop offers some very refreshing iced herbal teas that are non sweetened. Which I very much enjoy because I don't like sugary bubble teas. I ordered the iced oolong tea and they brew it freshly so I had to wait a couple minutes before my tea came out. The only downfall I have was that my tea wasn't cold enough. All the ice had melted when they brought my tea out. I guess the tea didn't cool down fast enough. Another plus side is they offer milk teas, fruit teas, and blended bubble teas. They also have tea flavored ice creams which is a great compliment to their teas. read more

Reading others' reviews, I see I'm not the first to say that "Seattle Best Tea lives up to its name," but I'd like to add my voice to the chorus. Take my review with a grain of salt if you must, as I've never lived in any of the generally-accepted boba capitals of the US (unless someone has found excellent boba in my home city of Boston, in which case please please PLEASE tell me where!), but this is quite possibly the best boba I've ever had. I've come here about a dozen times since arriving in Seattle this June. The second time, during an international district food festival, I ordered their black milk tea on a whim. I haven't gotten a different tea since. This tea is unspeakably good. It's convinced me of boba's brilliance in a way no other boba place has come close. Lusciously fragrant and perfectly sweetened, the black milk tea is a symphony on the taste buds. It's rare that I get thoroughly lost in a sugary drink; Seattle Best Tea throws me into its center without a map or cell phone signal. To make matters even better, the shop itself is lovely, with an ornate array of tea lining the walls and a bevy of tea accessories filling nearly every nook and cranny in the store. The staff is wonderful, particularly the owner, who is incredibly warm and dedicated to her patrons. She brews her own tea to a standard far higher than I can comprehend. It's like listening to music through thousand-dollar headphones: at a certain point, I stop being able to consciously tell the difference between them and two-hundred-dollar ones, but I know that the extra luxury I've been afforded is worth every penny. Except this tea is four dollars, not a thousand, and I'd buy two hundred and fifty of them before a quality pair of Sennheisers any day of the week. Please go here! read more

I tried their kiwi and oolong ice cream and it was yummy and a nice almost soft serve texture. My first experience and impression of them was when I was in line for Chung Chun next door for their Halloween event and the Seattle best tea owner being nice and friendly and giving us free candy. I loved the ice cream flavors - they have nice mellow flavors like red bean and the "best tea" flavor, which are refreshing and the right level of sweet. Disappointing given all the hype of previous glowing reviews. Service: Efficient, even with nobody in line behind us. Neither of us were asked any of the reasonable followup questions. Wouldn't it be prudent to ask hot/cold, sweetness level, other toppings (all tailorable options on the menu)? Nothing. AND, drinks were not labeled so we had to taste them to figure out which was which. Drinks: two milk teas, one default (jasmine milk) and another (Heavy oolong with soy milk), both with boba. Both drinks were incredibly watered down. Boba was overcooked. Drinkable? Yes. Enjoyable? No. Pros: inexpensive (but maybe you get what you pay for). Could actually taste essence of jasmine tea in the appropriate drink! Bottom line: one of the WORST bubble tea experiences we can remember. Could have been a fluke, but given the local boba tea options we don't plan on returning here. read more

It is true that this is the best tea in Seattle. I love how they use quality tea for their drinks and they definitely don't water it down. You can taste it even in their milk teas! On top of amazing teas, they also serve homemade ice cream! My favorite is the milk tea and the jasmine milk tea. The texture of the ice cream is perfect, not too icy or melty but almost chewy! I really enjoy coming here because I think their drinks have the strongest tea flavor out of the boba places in the area. I usually order their (strong) oolong milk tea but their jasmine milk tea was also good! Something to be aware of though is that their tapioca is a free topping! However, I'm personally not a huge fan of the way they prepare their tapioca here - it's usually a bit mushy without much flavor. At some other places the pearls will have been coated with brown sugar syrup, but at this place the pearls have generally been bland and flavorless to me. I'd say it's probably a personal preference thing (?) but the pearl toppings do not cost extra like at every other boba place so it's a fair deal. This place seems to be family-run and I really enjoy coming here because the staff is always personable! read more

I found my new favorite bubble tea spot! When I first came, the owner, Lydia was quick to offer delicious samples of honey jasmine and black milk tea. Whoa! So tasty! I ordered the black milk tea and it came with tapioca and jelly. Huge 16 ounce for 3.99 (tax included)! Cheaper than some other places since it includes add ins. The tea here is pretty legit. They sell tea leaves and she also offers tastings to learn about the history of teas. I'd say she's a master brewer! I had the jasmine milk tea my second time but I think my favorite is still the black milk tea. Can't wait to try the ice cream when it gets slightly warmer. Really great bubble tea here at Seattle Best Tea. They concept is interesting because this is actually a tea shop, so all the milk teas are made using the teas here from the shop so the flavour is REALLY good. I came here with a friend to try out this place and the young man working there was really nice to offer us samples of the different drinks to make sure we ordered something that we really like. I ordered a light oolong tea for only $3.75 with pearls, which is a great deal. After talking with him more he explained that the teas here are made in advance because it would take 15 minutes to brew the tea fresh to make a bubble tea, so the preparations are for efficiency sakes - but it's definitely possible to have your drink made if you are interested. Overall, a great little shop in the International District. They really need their own branded bubble tea cups to show how awesome they are. And, they do ACCEPT credit card so not sure what other reviews are saying but you can definitely use your Visa as I did. read more

From the owner to the manager to the worker, they take care every single customer. That's why alot of people love their store, even another owner of bubble tea store or coffee shop. Oh man. Where do I start?! Seattle Best Tea Co is hands down my favorite bubble tea place in Seattle rn. Upon entering, you're greeted by the friendly face of the owners. I remember the first time I came here, I looked towards the back of the place and saw a group of 5 or so Asian elders and I knew that I had struck gold. Always go where the elders go, they know exactly what they're doing so if you end up in the same place as them in regards to where to cop tea, you know you're doing something right. Their tea is simply amazing. Fragrant, hand picked from Taiwan, and smooth. I could literally sit there and drink their tea for hours straight and I wouldn't even care if my stomach exploded from lack of capacity. Their ice cream is equally as delicious. Lately one of my favorite flavors has been matcha, and their matcha ice cream is the BOMB. It literally entered my digestive system, exploded, and left me begging for more. I ordered an Oolong Milk Tea w/ Nonfat Milk + Boba. They informed me before I paid that they were making the bobas at the moment, so it would take about ten minutes for me to get my drink. I said it was fine. While I waited for my drink, they gave me a sampler of their Red Bean Ice Cream, which was extremely thoughtful of them! I loved my drink, except the boba was pretty hard. The lady that runs this place is the sweetest person ever and she's so passionate about tea and giving samples, the tea flavored ice cream also has such a strong tea flavor infused with the cream you can tell it was made in house. If you do not mind waiting for bubble tea this places had such a good tea flavor of bubble tea, she uses her own tea, brews it on the spot and makes the bubble tea, it's all made fresh and no powder or artificial anything. Out of all the boba shops in seattle, this is by far my favorite tea shop. As someone who prefers a strong tea flavor to sweetness/creaminess, this place doesn't disappoint. My go-to drink is heavy oolong milk tea with 50% sweetness, less ice, boba and coffee jelly. Also there's unlimited toppings for the price of $4.50!! Staff is friendly and efficient and the store vibe reminds me of TenRen tea back home, plus who doesn't want to support a family-run business especially during times like these.
