This is a tucked away spot that's pretty easy to miss, but is really nice! I came by while walking along the lake and there wasn't anyone inside so we were helped immediately. I saw they had a taro coconut sago drink which really called my name - I love the taro/coconut combination and was super excited to try it. It's an ice blended drink which meant it did melt after a little. The initial sips were fantastic - really fresh taro flavor and creamy coconut. I did think once it started melting it became a little more sickly sweet. However, I really appreciate how it tasted like real taro. I'd come back to try some of their other drinks! read more

The servers were friendly and very efficient. They are dog friendly which is nice but there's not really much of a sit down area, aside from benches to wait for your order. They have lots of nondairy options but it's best to ask questions if you're worried about any of the powders (ie HK milk tea). Refreshing! Got the passion orange drink at tea king and it was super refreshing. I like the tea that they use for their drink. They're located on Dexter which lowkey might be hard to find parking but you can definitely go to the quieter street and walk up the hill. The service here was very quick. We checked this place out over the weekend. There is parking under the store but there is also street parking. It's a super small store with only benches so it's not a place where you can "hang out". Service was prompt We ordered Rose Milk tea with boba and Matcha Matcha In the Clouds with sago. I'm not a big boba fan but the boba was soft and chewy. Strawberry tea? It's more like strawberry flavored water. Do not get this. I've come before for the mango sago drink and it was okay, but this time I wanted a fruit tea and decided on the strawberry. It was not good, and I could not finish after a few sips. As for location, there is limited street parking. The shop itself is small and can get crowded if many people are waiting inside. Tried this place with my cousins while visiting Seattle. It is a very small shop. Once you head in, the ordering counter is there with a few spots to sit and wait. This is definitely a take it to go kind of shop. They have no restrooms available for the public. I got the mango coco sago. I usually don't enjoy the slushie style drinks, but this one was great. The ice was crushed properly and it was a smooth drink. I got full sugar, but could have gotten 75%. The mango really came through and it tasted good with the sago and lychee jelly mixed in. On a lovely 85 degree Saturday, I was craving something cold and sweet so I stopped by tea king for the first time. As I walked in, I saw their special "cloud series" so I decided to try the brown sugar drink and I'm glad I did! I got it at 100% sweetness which was great for me. The milk was very well flavored, and the consistency and taste of the boba was perfect! The shop was also not busy, with only one other person there at the same time, so I got my drink quite quickly, within 5 min. They kind of straddle that space between a full fledged tea house and a run-of-the-mill boba shop. They pre-brew two of their most popular teas, but if you order some others, I believe they fresh brew it in an espresso machine (I can't confirm this, but given that they have an espresso machine behind they counter, it would make sense). I got one drink, the store special, as I always do when I go for the first time to any boba place: TK Milk Tea, Large, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.30) - This is a pre-brewed black and oolong tea blend. They add sugar syrup and half and half as they make your drink. The tea flavor comes through, just a classic black-type tea, with a bit of pleasing astringency to round things out. The boba is pretty hard in this drink and as a result, doesn't have a great chew. The boba texture isn't the best here, but I trust that their tea has good flavor. I would go again if I'm ever in the area again to try their other teas. This was more of a 3.5/5 type of drink, but I'm rounding up to a 4. read more

I got their peach dream with boba and it had such a fresh real peachy taste and the boba was perfectly cooked this time! The right amount of chew and squish haha. It is a little bit easy to miss since it is on the bottom floor of apartment buildings next to a fairly fast street. Everything on the menu looks and sounds delicious and provides options for everyone to enjoy. Fruit tea lovers have a ton of options of teas and smoothies made from fresh fruits. We ordered a strawberry matcha, black sesame milk tea, and a hot regular milk tea. All the drinks were not too sweet and you can really taste the black sesame. I ordered the brown Taiga and it felt like I was drinking a large cup of milk, not as "brown sugar" as I thought it would be. I don't even know where to start with this review, but I know my heart and life will end with Tea king. Every time I commute this far distance to Seattle, I always make sure to stop at my absolute favorite and most idolized boba tea shop I have ever been to within my entire life. The drive can be 30 minutes to an hour, but I will walk to the ends of the world for this boba tea. The flavor, texture, freshness, aroma, and atmosphere is simply unmatched and I'm at a loss of words for every shock I receive when I go back and the tea is still as fragrant and fresh as ever. I don't like to give places credit, but credit is due here. And everyone who says "there's nowhere to sit, it's too small." This is a BOBA tea shop, you can live for 5-10 minutes (since the service is quick) by not sitting your bum down. Thank you Tea King . Expected great things based on the prior reviews! Thought it would be a great experience to have sago inside a ice blended drink. Unfortunately the experience fell short of my expectations. I expected the sago to be mixed with sweetened coconut milk, but my first several sips were just plain unflavored sago as if it was sitting in plain water. It does seem like they use frozen fruit instead of powdered mixes which I appreciated, but the taste was average at best and the price point was higher than many other boba places in the area. The location is also a bit off the beaten path. Good for residential customers living in the area, but I probably won't be back given so many boba shops to try. read more

Their selection is very small - just be aware - they offer pretty much only 5-6 selections in different forms. So if you are not into those selections, you are out of luck. I don't know what it is, but I've just had a really hard time finding my taro bubble tea in this area..... I got the HK Milk Tea - I felt like the tea was overbrewed and more bitter than I'm use to at least. The topping was underwhelming. The staff was friendly and nice and I wish this little shop well. First off, it's in a slightly inconvenient location because it is really hard to find parking near here and there are very steep hills. We got their signature tea king milk tea with boba. The price was pretty reasonable for what you get. However, the boba is way too tiny to make it satisfying. If they were to use tiny boba, they should increase the amount. At all the other boba places nearby, I am able to get a generous amount of boba each time I take a sip. However, here, some sip has boba, and some don't. And when I do get boba, it's too tiny to be satisfied. The tea flavor is ok as well, a little diluted so not as strong. Theirs are GOOD. We tried: - Kiwi Green Tea, 75% sugar for him - Watermelon Green Tea with grass jelly, 25% sugar for me Both are accented with fresh fruits. This is hands-down the best Boba shop in Seattle. I'm extremely picky about pearls, and this place does it right. The consistency is perfect. They're soft, chewy, and sweet. The tea is made fresh with loose leaf, and they use actual real fruit in their fruit tea drinks! Majority of other places use syrups and powder, not here! I love that they use bamboo straws as well. My favorite is the strawberry tea then the passion fruit orange tea. I get them both without and sugar, and it's still delicious! The place of small and only has a small bench that seats two.
