Hot coco

Stopped by Scullery, a cozy coffee and tea spot near our hotel in SF, and it was such a great find. The hot chocolate was not only rich and comforting but came with the cutest bear design on top--such a thoughtful touch. We also had the dulce de leche latte, which was absolutely delicious: smooth, perfectly sweet, and well-balanced. Great drinks, welcoming vibe, and a perfect place to start the morning. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

They are selling cute locally made masks

My parent were visiting and they wanted a light breakfast. So I knew Scullery was the perfect place to meet their needs. I wanted to try their pepper jelly cream cheese toast, which is currently a seasonal item. But they had ran out of cream cheese that day. So I made it my personal mission to return, which I did the other day. I love pepper jelly and usually eat it with bolani bread. It never crossed my mind to pair it with cream cheese, and it's the perfect combination. The pepper jelly is sweet with a tickling heat, which is soothed by the richness of the cream cheese. Of course when it comes to toast, it all comes down to the bread. They use a seeded sourdough with a salted butter at the base. It's thick with a crackling crust, but soft on the inside. It's the perfect vehicle for the variety of toppings they offer. I've tried all their toasts on their regular menu, except for the pesto one because I'm allergic to it. They are all delicious. And I also recommend getting their Yorkie, which is the Yorkshire pudding filled with ham and Welsh cheddar. It's worth the wait. And if you love coffee, be sure to get a cup because it is really good. All in all, it's a place with good food, good coffee, and good vibes. It's truly a neighborhood gem.

Iced Burnt Caramel Latte

My favorite drink from here is their iced burnt caramel latte. It's the perfecttttt ratio of sweetness, coffee, and you can taste the burnt caramel!!! For $6, it's honestly a steal in SF. One of my fave coffees in the city

Spicy PBJ with Strawberry Chili Jelly

It's a cute cafe with a lot of tasty breakfast options. I was going to get the Yorkie but the staff warned me that it would take 25 minutes to make one so I went with the spicy PBJ instead. Seating is limited but there are a couple of stools. We walked West on Geary from Union Square, but the surrounding blocks are a little rough if you're not prepared for that sort of thing

Happiest girl to ever hold a coffee ..... I stay in this area for the coffee and for Andre! What a fabulous place. Best coffee I've ever had.

Avocado toast w/ egg. Seeded bread, thick cut -and generous with the avocado! It was so good!

This place in the Tenderloin is adorable! It's Clean, cozy (very small space, the sitting area holds less people than a hospital elevator does), and well decorated -think contemporary rustic. The coffee though... It is beautifully crafted with love by the baristas. I really like the malted mocha. The staff are friendly and attentive and really seem to care for their customers, which is difficult for them to do when they're so busy with orders and there are only two people behind the counter (I haven't seen more than that).

Great vibes, great service, great product. It is definitely on the heart of the Tenderloin, so you will see unhoused people and trash, but I still enjoyed my visit here. Minimal seating so Saturday morning you'll have a tough time to find a spot to sit and enjoy your food and beverage, but just take it to go!

Good coffee is just a thing. Either it is or it isn't. Scullery was worth the trip up Geary for a visit. Counter service, very direct order process. My friend opted for a seasonal pumpkin and I went with my coffee litmus test - cappuccino with oat milk. Outstanding beans and quality preparation are hallmarks of a good cup, and both were outstanding.

Genuinely great service, great prices, great toast conbos, quality espresso. Small place with minimal seating but not impossible. A little hidden gem, and shoutout to the kind employees!

Scullery can spin up the cutest latte art! The barista is extremely friendly and sociable. There is no WiFi here though, so please be prepared for just coffee.

I was looking for a good cup of coffee in the area while I visited an I found it! Scullery had one of the best carmel lattes ever; it was even a burnt caramel take on it and it worked! They all sell open toast sandwhiches that looked really good but I did not have one but I will make sure next time I am there. Service was good but it is a small establishment so be prepared to take on the go. I loved the ambiance of this place; definitely makes you feel like you are in a local small cafe. Parking is not going to be as great so either walking..bus or other means of transportation. Make sure to stop by!.

The latte is a perfect objet d'art here. Cool vibes only. Been going here since 2018 and their high standards have never, ever wavered. The owner takes dedication to a new level.

Yum! Latte!

The coffee is so smooth and delicious here! It can get busy in the morning, but is worth the wait. It's a small spot, so it's more of a grab your coffee and go place. However, it's so good, I look forward to checking it out every time we visit!

FINALLY tried B Patisserie and it did not disappoint! Came on Sunday after Mass at around 1 pm to…read morefind it still popping with a line out the door. Even so, they were refreshing that pastry case so that I was not without options. So many amazing-looking things, so I got 3 things just for myself: Chocolate Banana Almond Croissant $5.25: The classic, I had to try. And it was so good!! I thought it might be too rich, but I actually found it to be quite balanced. I loved the fresh mashed banana/banana purée inside, and it went really well with the chocolate. I didn't get a ton of almond flavor comparatively, but I appreciated the coating on the top for a heartier crunch in addition to the croissant flakiness. Like everyone else, I would definitely recommend this one! Passionfruit Bostock $4.25: The staff person helping me told me this was a good option, so I was happy about that. I would agree! It has a beautiful crisp on the outside and a moist crumb inside. The passionfruit flavor was really nice and not too strong. I believe they rotate different flavors of this one, so I'd definitely want to try more. Bostocks on the whole are underrated, and I think they have just the loveliest texture. All-in-One Cake: This is so creative. I was going to stop at the above two pastries, but when the staff person said that this cake was quite literally made up of all the other cakes seen in the case, I was already sold. How cool and creative and reduce-reuse-recycle is that!!!?? I love! And it was such a fun eat! I love how they added crust at the bottom and a gorgeous chocolate layer on top to tie everything together. And every bite was a little different: some fruity, some nutty, some crunchier. Super cool. I was able to nab a table and work a little bit, which was nice. It's a good vibe inside with a little hustle and bustle, but still cozy overall. I'll be back!

This is a popular neighborhood bakery that is also famous in the entire city. They're famous for…read moretheir Kouign Amann, French pastries with an Asian flavored twist. When the full size Kouign Amann runs out these breadsticks, see my photos, are excellent substitutes: caramelized, sweet, crunch, and flaky. Sort of like bite size Kouign Amann. The layered coffee / espresso cake is excellent, just the right amount of coffee, sweetness and cream. It's subtly sweet and just the right harmony of bite through the layers. It's a little small portioned but love the sleek rectangular slice. They often have seasonal, Asian inspired flavors such as sesame Kouign Amann. For holidays, order ahead, and arrive early. For fresh Kouign Amann's, get them early in the morning. They sell out. Location: near UCSF Mount Zion medical center.
