We were looking for a brunch place that could accommodate 7 of us on Easter. When I messaged them on Yelp, they said of course! They had a table ready for us and a large selection of breakfast and lunch items to choose from. I of course ordered the Eggs Benedict with fruit since why mess with perfection. The whole family enjoyed their choices and we had great service.

I asked our server Marlene for suggestions. I said I definitely wanted Mexican food. She recommended the chilaquiles. Normally I won't order because everyone makes them differently. She explained they use the chile commonly used in Mexico City, I gave it a try. I got rice and beans instead of potatoes. Chilaquiles were delicious. Eggs over easy cooked perfectly. The creaminess of the egg with the flavor of the salsa was a perfect union. I didn't love the raw onions but it complimented the chips. The rice and beans were abuela approved. Beans were flavorful. Rice was perfectly cooked and very comforting homemade taste. Marlene was super sweet and attentive even though she was the only one working. The restaurant is very cute. I loved all the cow decor. There's a few booths, inside tables and outdoor seating.

It is lovely to have a breakfast/brunch place open from 7 AM- 2 PM. There are not a lot of these eateries with this kind of timing, especially if you got up early. However, one of these places is a less known, hardly advertised restaurant, called Scrambled Eggs Cafe, in Simi Valley. Walking in around noon, there were only two other tables that were occupied. The cozy, uniquely decorated place was quiet and one gets the brain thought, unsolicited of course, did I come to the right place? I had done some homework and pretty much knew what I was going to order. Still, I was inquisitive and eager to peruse the extensive menu and, as expected, ended up still choosing my favorite class of breakfast selection. Needless to say, it had to be an Eggs Benedict concoction. They had more than one choice in this category and I decided to go for the California Eggs Benedict, with bacon, tomato, and instead of the avocado, I asked for the sautéed spinach. Just had the urge, to try a new twist to this combination. They fully obliged. For the side, I chose potatoes, requesting the best of both worlds. Half of the house potatoes and half of the hash browns. They politely consented. When the breakfast dish came to my table, it was simple, but had griddle aroma and one could observe and smell the freshness. I first went for the potatoes. Both of them blew me away. The house potatoes were fresh, nicely browned, not overdone, a light crisp on the outside, perfect texture, amazing taste. You could actually absorb the rich starch of the potatoes. Hashbrowns were the same, very nicely prepared. Needless to say, the poached eggs were perfect. It is not often that you come to a place where every Item on a multi component dish, is superb. On top of that, the service was high class. Thank you, Augustine. He kept checking on me constantly, to make sure I was OK. Wow. What a memorable and unforgettable experience, at Scrambled Eggs Cafe.

My wife called it in as a phone pick up, I chose the BBQ chicken wrap, and she picked the Tipsy toast. They said it would be ready in 15 and they sure kept that promise, great looking place indoors, clean and great staff. The wrap has a ton of flavor and drenched in their sauce which makes every bite so delicious. My wife liked her dish as well Good food and good service!

Took 25 minutes to get the food. When they brought out our food, the order was incorrect. My kids fruit cup was sticky and dirty-- had avocado remnants in it. My plate was dirty with strawberry juice but didnt order strawberries. The hollandaise was grainy and raw tasting like flour. We had to ask 3 times for silverware before receiving it. The restaurant had several servers and was not all the way full during our visit. The table was incredibly sticky.

Great service I was greeted immediately once arriving. The omelettes are very delicious! My only complaint is that the strawberries on the French toast I ordered were spoiled. Other than thank lovely breakfast.

We found this restaurant on accident while driving through Simi Valley and it is now one of my favorite breakfast stops. I'm not usually a skillet kind of girl but my after trying my boyfriends meat lovers skillet, I was hooked. I get it with a pancake instead of toast. Not only is it an amazing pancake but it fills me up so I can take some skillet home for lunch! read more

The husband and I decided to try out a new breakfast spot in Simi and were pleasantly surprised with this little hidden gem. We both love being outside, so any place with outside seating scores major brownie points! I ordered the California benedict and the hubs had the Chile verde omelet. The Benedict was perfect, but the potatoes that came with were a tad over cooked. The service was top notch and the food came out pretty quickly. We will definitely be returning. read more

Stopped by this place in Simi Valley en route to SB. We stopped by this place. It was a cute little restaurant in a strip mall with a couple outside tables. There are rooster things on the walls. Pretty cute. The food was average. I got a chicken sandwich, but the chicken tasted fake. Is that possible? It looked like chicken but it didn't taste like chicken. It threw me off and I couldn't get past it. read more

Had a hungry daughter wanting brunch after her race so we used yelp to help find us something near by. This place is very small and popular which created a cramped and due to the heat, stifling feeling. There is outdoor seating but that's not an option with triple digit heat. The food was very good though. We had the Cali-Mex eggs Benedict which was super fresh with big chunks of avocado and a creamy sauce. The daughter had chicken fried steak which she described as better than average but nothing to go out of your way for. Service was great and very attentive. read more

Love this place - the staff is so welcoming and nice! Sometimes it's worth the wait during weekends - since this is a popular joint. This restaurant is a gem. We were visiting from our of town and happened to find this delicious restaurant. My husband had the parmesan chicken sandwich on grilled garlic cheese bread with grilled onions. He finished every bite. Very happy with his selection and full tummy. It came with crispy onion rings and a spicy mayo sauce. I order the traditional eggs Benedict, muffins on the side with crispy hash browns! It was prepared perfectly. My son and I were driving through Simi and were looking for a breakfast spot and came across Ferretiz Grill. One word... AMAZING! While it's not impressive from the exterior, once you walk through the door, everything changes. From the aroma to the warm welcome by the staff to the food, it was excellent! I love this place, we go most every weekend. It can get busy and it's small so we're hoping he will soon find a bigger place! I haven't had anything I didn't like here, but the country benedict, the house breakfast sandwich, the meat lovers skillet and Armando's taquitos are among my favorites. My girlfriend and I decided to try this place for breakfast today after reading some of the reviews here on yelp. I am so happy we made this decision. Ferretiz is a nice hole-in-the-wall restaurant whose excellent food is matched by their service. Upon entering the packed restaurant (a good sign), we were seated right away and were given fresh coffee - not stuff that's been sitting around for 2 hours. I ordered the California Omelet and my gf tried their breakfast burrito. Both were absolutely delicious and fresh. My omelet was packed with avocado, bacon, tomato, and cheese, and the hash browns were just perfect. It only took them several minutes to get both of our meals out, and it was divine. This place also has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The people working here seemed happy to help us and it made the experience very memorable. 2 sizable meals and 2 coffees for roughly $20. Good deal!! Will definitely be coming back to this awesome neighborhood restaurant. read more

Came in for breakfast this morning based on the Yelp reviews. Spot on.... Fresh food and generous portions. The service was friendly as well. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs and didn't leave hungry. My wife had the garden omelette and i watched the cook prepare with freshly cut veggies. Nothing frozen. Great comfort food and the bill was only $25 including coffee and orange juice. I still prefer Fire House but Ferretiz gives them a run for their money. Especially with the country fried steak. Its much better here. read more

Being a local I was surprised to find this place on Yelp since I drive by the plaza frequently. We had breakfast on a Saturday morning and the wait was minimal. Service was prompt and food was served quickly. Definitely a smaller restaurant, but they move the tables quickly. Overall the experience was friendly service with decent food, but nothing that warrants outstanding ratings as some Yelpers have given. read more

They were so warm and welcoming here. Great specials and accommodating us for to go while also letting us sit while we decided what to order, bringing us water. They gave great recommendations and the food was super good. Some of the best Benedicts I've ever had. I had the corned beef and hash Benedict. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

This was our first going. The staff was exceptionally attentive and nice. It's a little small but they are expanding soon. The food was great-we had breakfast. Came here to check it out with all the good reviews it had. I am glad I did. This place has the best breakfast burrito with really thick smoky bacon chunks inside and my husband loved his Denver omelette loaded with fresh vegetables. We both opted for sides of fruit which unfortunately for us was 2 slices of cantaloupe which neither of us eats and a small wedge of watermelon which we did eat. The prices are decent and the service is friendly and we didn't have to wait long at all for our food. This place is small though and there are only 7 tables that can fit 4 people each. 5 of the tables were full when this lady walks in and demands seating for her family of 12. I was impressed that the owner accommodated this pushy lady and set her family up at a makeshift table outside. The one thing that got to me was the flies. The front door was open the whole time we were there and there were flies coming in and out. That kind of bothered me. Other than that this place is perfect. read more

This is a great place to go for breakfast. It has all the typical breakfast dishes and some lunch dishes and Mexican dishes too. The food here is good, very good. I took off one star because when they get busy, their service goes south fast. So as long as you avoid rush hour, you should have a pleasant experience here. read more

Sooooooo Gooooooood! Armando greeted us enthusiastically about the day's specials, casually mentioned the biscuits and gravy...next thing we know we had a sample for four at our table on the house! Who does that? A chef proud of his craft and wanting you to share in his joy does. Loved the vibe, the food and Armando, will definitely keep coming back. read more

Let me first start off by saying if the food were the only part that belonged in the rating, Ferretiz Grill & Cafe would deserve 6 stars for the quality they provide, especially at breakfast! Armando is the chef, owner, and genius behind the recipes; his work is amazing. I think this place honestly has the best breakfast in Simi for the local spots. The Chicken Enchilada Omelette is PERFECT and you need to ask for the special spicy red sauce. I've also had a few lunch menu items too and they give you an extremely healthy portion of protein whereas many other places skimp on it. The downsides? There are very few. The location is an extension of Burger Express and it can get a little cramped sometimes during busy hours, but it's nothing outrageously annoying. Most of the staff and even the chefs are very customer service friendly, however, there are one or two who won't really ever smile and give off the "don't ask me for anything else" vibe. As for price, it doesn't help nor hurt them. No real difference than any other breakfast spot around. There's no better spot in Simi for breakfast or dinner. My favorites here are the all meat breakfast skillet and the chicken fried steak with biscuit and gravy. Their chicken fried steak blows the other guys out of the water!
