Id says it's a little hole in the wall except there's tons of seating. Great spot to grab a pretty quintessential diner meal with a couple Mexican twists.

Breakfast is delicious. Staff was nice and attentive. I tried the home sausage omelette and it was huge and just full of yummy toppings. Home fries are crispy on the outside and soft inside. Their coffee taste so good. The chorizo omelette is very taste. Their breakfast burritos are huge like huge and just so delicious and filling. Definitely a great breakfast spot. It has some outdoor seating as well as a lot of indoor seating. Location is cleaned and organized.

A great spot for a comfort meal. Came here with my mom for breakfast and really enjoyed everything; from the food to the experience. The restaurant is of good size and has plenty of tables plus a bar you can sit at as well. Their coffee is really good and served in mugs that are quite big which is nice. They have a lot of options on their menu but I went with a traditional breakfast plate that comes with two eggs, sausage or bacon (I chose bacon), house potatoes and toast (I ordered an English muffin) other plates come with different variations of this. My mom got something similar but with bacon instead of sausage and pancakes instead of potatoes. The food came out really quick and was delicious! They have plenty of condiments already at the table for you to use. Or waiter was friendly and I never saw the bottom of the my coffee mug! The pancakes are oh so fluffy and delicious by the way! I'm excited to goa and try their lunch menu. They also have beer and wine as well to enjoy later on in the day.

Glad that I didn't let the bland front entrance deter me from trying Tio's Cafe. Once inside, a warm, clean environment waited for us. Dear Hubby told me that he'd stopped in a couple of times when he had been in the area, but our recent visit was my first time. It's wider and deeper inside than I expected. It boasts a diner-style counter, which is convenient for those dining alone. A number of comfortable booth-style tables fill most of the dining room. Several TVs also line the walls on two sides, along with vintage-look canvas photos to add to the ambiance. There's not a true theme to the decor, but it provides a low-key comfortable atmosphere. It appears spotlessly clean. Our server was prompt, helpful, and kept checking on us. Five stars for him! I knocked off a star as the food was on the bland side. I guess it's not the right season of the year for flavorful, juicy tomatoes. The "T" in my BLT was not memorable, which brought down the whole sandwich. Bacon was well-prepared and generous. The fries were hot but also bland. I'd had better ones recently at Arby's, of all places. I often sub for fries, but I was in the mood to order them, and Tio's didn't quite hit the spot. They did have other options, including onion rings, sweet potato fries, side salad, cottage cheese, etc. Their menu is quite extensive, and they serve breakfast all day, except for waffles. We will definitely return to try other items that vary from their fitness selections to sandwiches / burgers, and comfort-food choices. When we first arrived just after 5:00, we almost had the place to ourselves, but by the time we were finishing, the interior was filling in nicely. Happy to support a local indy restaurant!

Whenever I go to a breakfast spot, I always try the biscuits and gravy and they came highly recommended by our server. They were very friendly and sat us right away and the first thing they brought to us was their complimentary house coffee cake. I ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. The biscuits were as big as my face and tasted amazing. The gravy was a white gravy the kind you would normally find on a southern fried chicken steak. It was a very generous portion, however I prefer a more traditional gravy with sausage. Individually, though the gravy was tasty and the biscuits were tasty since they were both made from scratch. The bacon was thick cut and crispy just how I like it. Next visit I am going for pancakes. The customer service was amazing. Seriously top notch hospitality. If you find yourself in Simi check them out. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. No dinner service. Range: $$

One thing that excels in this place is the service! The staff were really attentive to all our needs and checking up on us every now and then throughout our meal. The food tastes good, not really that outstanding, but just enough to fill and satisfy the little nook and crannies of the rumblies in the tumblies... The place was nice and clean. There were a few customers when we came in. And we were the only ones left after our meal. The price of the food is reasonable enough. I would recommend this business as a go-to for your breakfast needs!

Not because the burrito was bad but because the french toast smelled and looked amazing. Anyways, breakfast burrito has all the good fixins and has some salsa on the side to pour on with each bite. If im not feeling adventurous in any future visits this would be my go to order as it was very good. Caution it does contain some dairy. Service: Server we had was very nice. Yes, that does explain the name, but still . . . That was just the beginning of my odyssey to a great lunch. The outside has a large patio, and it is decorated as eclectically as the rest of the entryway and dining areas. In fact, you could spend all day looking at every item in this place! Amazing dedication to a theme that actually works, and makes you feel relaxed and at home, at least for me (clutter confession in that statement . . . ). There are dining rooms and a bar area for further relaxation! The welcome was quick and warm, and the service was great. The menu itself is just as odd, almost like a child drew it with crayons, so I took a while to make sure I didn't miss anything, even though I pre-planned my attack on Yelp and their website. I was still overwhelmed in person! Kailey was a great server, friendly and efficient. I ordered the grilled three cheese sandwich (with Jack, pepper jack, and cheddar on sourdough, grilled) served with fries or chips - I chose the house-made chips, and added a side salad. The salad arrived first, and I had almost finished it when the sammy arrived, hot and melty. It was on a bed of chips, the amount of which shocked me! The whole plate was covered with them. I even took a large box of them back to the hotel for a later snack; they were too good to just leave abandoned. The sandwich was great, just the comfort food I needed that afternoon. There are other items I would try on the menu, so I hope to find myself in Simi Valley again. A great place with great food and service.
