Eggs and Things never disappoints, but what really made my experience amazing was my server Carly. I've had her twice now, and both times she was absolutely incredible. She's so friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel welcomed the second you sit down. Carly is on top of everything without ever making it feel rushed, refills, check-ins, recommendations, all perfect. You can tell she truly cares about her customers and takes pride in what she does, which honestly elevates the entire dining experience. The food is already great, but having service like hers makes it even better. If you're lucky enough to get Carly as your server, you're guaranteed a fantastic experience. I recently visited this restaurant with my family. I've been to this place before, but this time I really felt the need to leave a review. First, the service was a 3 out of 5. The food, unfortunately, is a 2 out of 5. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries. The fries were undercooked, nearly raw. The pulled pork sandwich itself was cold when it arrived. I didn't eat it. I feel like this restaurant has lost a lot of its quality. I'm not sure if they've changed chefs or owners, but the food has changed a lot. The Machaca egg scramble was awful - almost inedible! The scramble egg was more like puréed eggs- and pickled jalapeños?? Had the nerve to charge $1.00 for extra Jalapenos!! Come on now!! Chunks of canned tomatoes that they called "salsa?" It would have been nice if they would have disclosed that it is made with pickled jalapeños. The bacon was chewy and not crispy!! The best thing there, was the Apple Strudel. Not worth coming back though!! This is the best part- 3% for CC use? That's more than we would get in points for using the card!! Similar to the branch in TO, there's something for every person here... nothing gourmet, but not too shabby for a quick bite. Service is pretty good and prices are fair. My only issue is that my cup of hot water kind of smelled like a chemical; unpleasant. And the hash browns also had an unusual aftertaste which could be from reused oil or a poor quality oil. They have a small menu, but it covers all the major classes of breakfast (and lunch) favorites. What else could you ask for? Before your order arrives, you are treated to one complimentary Swedish pancake. It is cooked in butter, sprinkled with powdered sugar and is accompanied by blackberry jam. This is a light well prepared item that melts in your mouth and is high on satisfaction. My original plan was to get this as my entree (which I did) and we also ordered Macadamia Nut Crusted French Toast, which comes with sprinkled coconut flakes. Both dishes were superb. The food at Eggs N Things is always delicious. I've never had a bad meal there. The Belgium waffles, the omelets, sandwiches, everything is great. They also give you a complimentary crepe that comes with their special berry jam and power sugar on top. Just a little something special to enjoy while you wait for your meal. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and close around 2pm. Although this place can get very busy at times and on the weekends the service is always great and the servers are very friendly. Early Monday, we chose to meet up at Eggs N Things for breakfast and some percussion updates about work. As soon as we sat down and before anything else, the server offered their specialty crepe with Nutella and honey. The crepe was freshly cooked, warm and very creamy, it literally melts in your mouth. We selected the usual, pancakes, eggs, biscuit, bacon and coffee. Of course, the pancakes were deliciously soft and plump while the eggs were fluffy. Coffee was not too back and refills were offered all throughout. The place was just right and decors were I'd say, naturally American and reminds me of North Carolina. My wife and I dropped off the 118 looking for breakfast and wound up here. We arrived shortly after 9am on a Monday morning just missing out on their breakfast specials. The dining room is surprisingly large with lots of booths and tables. At this time of day, the place was maybe a third full. After being seated, we placed a drink order and started scoping out the menu. My wife ordered the Swedish pancakes with blackberry preserves while I got a pancake sampler with regular pancakes, sausage, bacon and a scrambled egg. While waiting for our meals to be prepared, they brought out a sample Swedish pancake with jelly and powdered sugar to enjoy. My pancakes were good but I kinda regret not getting the lighter Swedish version like my wife. No worries though I polished off the two plate size pancakes. The sausage was fine nothing special and next time I would probably just get all bacon. Service was excellent and attentive. Today I went to breakfast here with my Service Dog as I have before. She is a 14 lb Jack Russell Terrier. I was not allowed for her to sit in the booth with me, fine. We sat at a table in the middle where there was nobody seated at the tables. I ordered got my food and asked for an extra plate to cut up sausage for my dog, totally acceptable at every restaurant I've gone to. The waitress said you can't feed the dog here, I said can I have a to go container? She brings it, I cut up one sausage and set it down for my dog. The waitress came and said you can't feed her here. I said what? My dog was done by then. So, I picked up the container and as she walked away, she said, "if that is a real Service Dog you would know that ".! Discrimination right there! She has her vest on, I keep my Dr.'s letter with me as well as her official Service Dog identification card. Then the manager comes over to reiterate what the waitress said and that my dog needs to be under the table. She was sitting right next to me on her lead. They are definitely making it work. The menu is great. Lots of breakfast and lunch items to choose from. They are have specials on the white boards around the restaurant. Be sure to check those out. Every breakfast meal comes with a little Swedish pancake with jelly. A nice little way to start your meal. They took some of the parking spots in front to make an outdoor seating area. Indoors, the tables are socially distanced and some are left empty. The inside has had a major upgrade in the past couple of years and looks great. All the servers are friendly and helpful.
